- Hi guys, I made this video which displays all the main story cutscenes in the remastered Grim Fandango game as well as some extra gameplay moments to make it more cohesive. Enjoy :)

waleed baoud Maybe, but that doesn't apply to this game. If you've played it you would see how even to this day it has smarter writing and greater character than the large majority of games. Obviously the graphics are dated and its not a perfect game, but I would class it as a masterpiece as its such an enjoyable game even though it is 17 years old.
waleed baoud Who hasn't played those games, they are also amazing. Besides this is all based on opinion, just because one person thinks a piece of work is a masterpiece, someone else saying otherwise doesn't mean the first guy is wrong...

You start this game at Manny's table having an ashtray and 4 figurines of mariachi band players. You end this game at the gate to the ninth underworld and 4 mariachi band players surrounding a fountain pool resembling an ashtray.
I played this game earlier this year. Even though I'm not big on point and click adventure games, I can safely say that dear god this game was a flat out masterpiece. Sure, lots of the puzzles and other things were tricky, but for other things like story, characters, etc., it was fucking great and memorable.
Yes it was an amazing experience, I have always had a lot of appreciation towards games with smart humour/a good story and this has both 😊 A few of the puzzles were a bit ridiculous and had me clueless but its pretty amazing at how it still holds up today

I have always loved point & click adventures. If you want another good one, try "the longest journey" and the sequels, these games are still my favorite of all time. Too bad "the longest journey home" will never be made 😢😢

Well, i was born in halloween so I kinda know how that feels like
I was watching a top ten list on UA-cam, "Top Ten Underrated Games" I think. When I saw this game was on it, at first I was floored, because HOW could you underrate this gem? Then, I felt okay about it, because hey, underrated is better than overrated. And then I heard them mention the remastered version for PC. I flipped. This game is STILL one of my favorites, top five!
WraythSkitzofrenik Hmm, i think usually when they say underrated they are usually talking about the popularity of the game, because from what I've seen, the vast majority of people have excellent things to say about this game. But it definitely is a gem and unfortunately not enough people know about/have played it :(
you can always tell how far into this game you are by how compressed the cutscenes look

I really liked this game because it gave off old cartoonish vibes that made me feel comfortable
Having finally played it myself, I really don't think it was much of an actual game but the story was pretty cool I have to admit. Really enjoyed the unique comedic elements as well. No game quite like this one and those puzzles were sometimes more than just challenging. Some of the hardest puzzles in any game that I know of.
Yes the gameplay is definitely not up to par with today's standards but the story still holds up really well. I agree with you, some of the puzzles are a tad too difficult, but at least we have the internet for walkthroughs ;)

Shiit.. When I played this as a kid, I didn't understand much from the English language. Maybe I learned some from games and school and music and stuff, but it's so crazy to watch this video when I actually understand everything what they are talking about. For example 22:26 is mind blowing. That guy goes after his wife in a next life after the previous one. Well maybe I knew words like "wife" and "another man" XD but still.. this is crazy game. I recommend to get it from somewhere. P.S I didn't mean the main character and his girl but the side character who was cleaning the roof :D
Lol thats a cool way to think about it, for some reason i always felt as though the characters are in their real lives in the afterlife, and that there wasnt anything before death.

The best track from this game that I seem to never have been able to find is the music being played while Manny is in the train station in Year 4. When I used to play this game, I would just relax and leave the computer while that song played. Unfortunately, its not even on the soundtrack.

This is one of my favorite games. I had no idea that they still sell this and on console O_o ..ps4? This ps4 version has some cool shadows in the 3D models, like Manny and other skeletons
On one hand I'm glad this game has a cult following and alot of people can appreciate one of the best story games ever created. Although at the same time I feel like it deserves more credit. It had some of the newest gaming designs for its time and was done pretty well. It still looks great even without the updated graphics.
Amazing story and game. Played it back on CD-ROM on my old PC. Had to replay on PS4 for nostalgic reasons...

The game made me feel like a kid again
Some parts of the story and the puzzles are kind of bad, but the good parts of this game are absolutely phenomenal. I know it will never happen, but I'd love to see someone do a film adaptation of this story.

I am playing this game on my android phone (no, unfortunately it is NOT in the google playstore anymore 😢) and for some reason none of the cutscenes work, so I am using your video to fill in the blanks. I have played this as a teenager, but a lot of it has just left my memorie, so thanks again for this 😀😀👍🏻

Domino wasn't looking to get to eternal rest, he was making a living in the eigth underworld with all the cash from LeMans' hustle. He could have used a ticket to get on the train at any moment, but at that point not even he knew that using counterfeits/stolen tickets would take you to hell.
He was fine chilling where he was.

I liked this game but I would never buy it again because of the part where you have to open the safe with the sliding wooden thingies. It took me three weeks to figure out how to open it. I wish there were more games like this. Cartoon graphics and challenging but doable storylines.

I love the remastered visuals but I honestly much prefer the gameplay of the original version. (not point'n'click, full control of manny)

It's called Blue Hector. It's my favourite piece of music on the whole OST. So smooth and nostalgic! It's a pity the OST track doesn't have the orchestra though.
