    I have 6 of your bikes and love them, but I also have been told by 2 other companies that they manufacture their frames in the same facility as yours. It would be great if we could see a factory tour over seas. Keep up the great work guys.

      Santa cruz owns their own factory. I am 95% sure you are mistaken on that. Yes specialized, yeti, and many others share factories but santa cruz is unique in owning it's own facility and exclusively making their own bikes as far as I am aware.

      What brands said that? I can probably tell you where they were actually made. Not a santa cruz fanboy btw, just happen to know some things about frame manufacturing

      They probably manufacture in the same factory we used to. Now no one can read our homework.

    Another awsome vid Greg. Love these behind the scenes of SC. I have 2 V10s. Blue/Mint 2018 XXL & 2020 Battleship Grey XL.Would love to see a video on just The V10. Saving up for the new one. The only thing that looks weird is that straight seat post section on new aluminium V10.

    A little off-topic but wanted to comment on Santa Cruz's decision to change their their lineup on the top of the line Blurs. Went to the SC site and noticed they eliminated the front a rear lockouts, as did Trek on their cross country bikes. Scott has kept that alive.
    Not at all fuzzy about the color lineups. Glad I was able to get my 23 lb . 2022 Blur w/AXS shifting in the salmon color. Wouldn't consider future purchase of SC or Trek without the lockouts. -- SC, what's with that limey green color? Totally weird.
    Revise: I was incorrect to say that SC did away with the front and rear lockout. That is only correct with the TR Blur version. I stand by
    limey green comment. Glad I have the salmon colored version. Also, the new 2023 top of the line CC Blur has the new SRAM XX1
    electronic transmission. Nice! I have the 2022 XO1 electronic gears and have been very happy.

    I really like my Santa Cruz bikes. I am a little concerned that it's 2.5 months now and I still haven't been reimbursed for my frame bearings (that are warrantied). It's the first time I needed Santa Cruz's warranty and it leaves wondering... How long would I be without a bike if it was my carbon frame?

    • @santacruzbicycles2841
      @santacruzbicycles2841  Рік тому

      Sorry to hear this. Are you waiting for $ reimbursed? The practice is to request a set of bearings and we send them out or you go to your local dealer.

    • @colingryms3373
      @colingryms3373 Рік тому

      @@santacruzbicycles2841 My dealer replaced them about 3 months ago and submitted the claim to his Santa Cruz rep. I was charged for the bearings until the warranty was fulfilled. So far, nothing.

    Would be really interesting to see what the factory in China looks like regarding working safety, and environmental impact, ... Commencal claims the conditions in China are unacceptable and that is one reason why they are not doing carbon. For consumers like me who also consider working conditions and environmental impact, I would highly appreciate a little bit more transparency here along the chain. I am the owner of a V10.7 and owned a 5010 V4 qualitywise and regarding durability I am convinced regarding carbon manufacturing of Santa Cruz Bikes. I know from experience myself (as also said in the video with Danny's bike) that carbon can be safely repaired so the environmental impact can be reduced. Still, it would be nice to see the Chinese factory. Is there sth in the making by any chance?

    • @santacruzbicycles2841

      We're working on this.
      We can say that our exclusive carbon facilities (only our bikes are made there) are very clean and have extremely high standards.
      As for the things other companies make claims about it's sometimes comes from a place of misinformation or disinformation.

    Why base the SC factory in China and not the US to save on Shipping costs?

      I respect your honesty! I’d love to see Cruz step up there game as there a great brand, there just way behind now and there pricing is not longer inline with there offerings or tech.
