Thanks UA ! Top-notch educational video. And the Jazz choice for this one is more than welcome. Jacquire, you did it again !
Thank you everyone for the kind comments. For those wondering, the piano is a melodipro 64 key piano. It is a prototype for the helpinstill stage piano. Has an awesome tonal character, and has quickly become one of my favorite pianos to play.
Bro, I love this! This content is the best. It’s an education … even after 25 years in the studio, there’s still so much to learn.
Thank you!
This is so refreshing that the music is high quality!!! Love it! Inspirational! Thanks so much ❤🔥
Thanks
Im amazed at how real all the models sound. Even the mics on their own sound great, but the models are so spot on that I wouldn’t even second guess if they were the real mics if I only heard an audio demo. I have the hemisphere condenser and it’s one of the best mics i’ve owned, and with the models it genuinely sounds like im getting multiple mic tones from one mic. It does much more than just a applying a secondary eq profile after using a primary eq to flatten the OG Mic’s response. The circuitry and harmonics are also modeled too. I’d love to see a video on how this was achieved.
Correct, there is way more going on here than simple EQ. Thanks for watching.
UA is simply THE BEST. UAD Spark is the single greatest value in the industry and these mics sound $$$!
Yes
simply the best!
:)
Amazing video, i was really vibing with the music.
Thank you
Jaquire! Is that a Magnus chord organ I see in the opening shot? I had one of those in 1966! Best wishes, REO
It sure is! A gift from a good friend.
Yessssss 🔥🔥❤️❤️
:)
57 on the snare !
This is content expected of UAD. Quality!
Yes
very interesting mics, great concept. I have two question unrelated to the mics, though. What desk is that and what kind of piano is that?
It is a custom sidecar (one of two that I have.. twins) from a 40 channel Quad Eight Coronado that I purchased and had as my desk about 20 years ago.. sidecar project happened maybe 15 years ago. I think it's one of the best sounding desks out there.
Nice
If UAD makes Hemisphere native, I will definitely get into these mics.
Hemisphere is available native and DSP.
@@UniversalAudio Oh ok everything I had seen said I needed an Apollo, however I will look into this for sure! Thanks for the update.
You got it!
It is
Excelent
:)
Imo the various mics sound similar with the Sphere, outside of the ribbons having high end rolled off, and the TLM103 and 251 being crisper on high end vs the 47 / 67. Extremely subtle and wonder if you can get to the same place with simple eq
Not really as the modeling includes characteristics beyond simple EQ
Loved that piano's design. What is it?
cool
:)
Can you share the stems of this recording?
They will be available once all four parts are out
Not relevant to the mic`s but what kind of a piano is that? (and it should have been tuned) ;)
It's not perfectly in tune but that's by choice. It's certainly not out in a way that hurts the recording. We do tune it often enough but we like it's slightly 'out' character
I want to record with him.
:)
News of native relevance, when?
It's there
New interface please
1 32 bit recording
2 arm chips
Better d to a
I don’t like my lynx aura pres😢 still use my x8 for that and recording with dsp lets cut out the middle man now 🙃
:)
Typical hipsters. Lol. Cool mics tho. Also king is a beast of a mixer
LOL and thank you
one mic different eq s. thats whats happening.
More than that for sure
