Wow Sizwe. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a SA politician who gave me a sense for their basic goodness and genuine sincerity ever before. I didn’t eyeroll once. I believed him! Makashule speaks the language that many a South African is feeling...the problem is that others feel that the political party vehicle is the only way to realise a country of our dreams..we need a serious political reform where political party's visions of what a country should be and should be governed..we can longer abdicate our freedoms and responsibilities to these parties..I honestly felt when he says "We can't be that selfish"..
Very interesting interview, I always thought he was misplaced in those middle class politics of the DA. The interview reminds of the one SMW had with Lukhona about life after the anc. When he said we are not the target market for the anc 😭

I agree we need to take a different route if we really want to see a better SA but I must say I do not know how that will happen.....some of us are not in the country but try keep up with SA affairs everyday and what one sees and hear is most times heart breaking. Gana's political goals are a cross between those of Maimane and Mashaba. It will make sense for him to just join one of these guys. His problem is that he suffers from the same political disease that millions of young black politicians suffer from - that they can single handedly beat the ANC and its damage. This is foolish and naive. Even with the best and the most powerful Sangoma on his side Gana's won't achieve his noble but naive political ambitions. Just like the others he is helping to politically fragment us, therefore plays in the hands of the rotten but still politically popular ANC.
Sounds like a passionate speech, great rhetoric but does not seem to have any substance that will allow for implementation. He probably will garner support during really bad years in the future
I'm disappointed, what about the common enemies like corruption, unemployment, poverty, inequality, lack of accountability and incompetent leaders? Explain how you defeat that.... If not no cent will come from me neither from my friends and family

Just by giving a braai, T-shirt and lekker music they don't need to explain how they will fix Rsa because they own you all ready. They know and understand Cardinal Pillars pursued by the EFF. Hence, we are making sure that EFF takes power in 2024.

I would suggest that Makashule Gana meet with Lauren Evanthia of Organic Humanity Movement(OHM).
I think he will do well joining existing political parties. Anyway, what was in his mind when he joined the DA.
