Just found out that Patrick Aspbury, the blond boy on the right and the one who sings first was tragically killed on April 12, 2017. He was hit and killed by a Train near his home in Essex. At the time, he was being treated at the mental health clinic The Linden Centre, which notoriously has had scores of patients die. It appears that Patrick may have taken his own life! RIP dear choirboy! Patrick is now singing in Heaven! RIP dear Choirboy!

In memory of those who live in Nursing homes..which for many of us will be our future.
I remember visiting my Mother in one and without fail on every visit
falling so depressed I would fall asleep next to her..being of no good and of no help to her.
It always reminded me of that terrible deep feeling of loneliness I had when I was sent
to an Academy when I was a kid..
How many of those once vibrant special lives in there have that terrible feeling.
The middle verse always reminds me of it..

Grief takes different forms. I'm sad I could not help Patrick when he was so lost. I didn't know. Patrick helped me when I was in need - his angelic voice steered me through tough times. I loved his singing. Yet when he needed help he was alone. We and ' The System' failed him. I will never forget Patrick. I miss his presence here on earth. I feel for his family. I can't imagine the pain they go through. When things happen that we don't understand, stop and reflect. Have faith .We shall all meet again one day.🌹

I have had the blessing of being a vocalist and voice coach. I was singing solos at the age of 6, and although I found it frightening at first, my love for singing couldn't be abridged. I also followed that love through a degree in music, being a performer and sharing my love of voice with students. It is rare to find those who not only have talent but show such apparent joy in singing. Childhood is blessed by finding and excelling in a God given gift. Parents should encourage and support.

I dont understand why people have to bang on about religion. This is a very nice piece of music to listen to, why not comment on that?
burrencrawler Because it's human nature to question barbaric beliefs. The little boy who is singing this song is currently burning in hell according to Christian standards. He recently took his own life by jumping in front of a train. I don't want to believe he is now in eternal torment. It is indeed a nice piece of music though.
I am not religious, I think no institutional religion has got it right (personal opinion) but even I feel that surely something/someone must be out there... even if this stands in conflict with my being a scientist. I have spent years singing in a religious choir in church and every song we sang touched my heart - in that, I see God (for lack of a better word). Hearing this beautiful music makes me cry - let's just all stop flaming and appreciate the beautiful gift of music these boys give us!

Stolenkiss: you're absolutely right..when I was in the international boy choir that I sang with...my peak solo voice was about 14 months in length from about 11 years and 3 months to 12 years and 5 months. Mike C

Beautiful singing...the voices of angels. I am on a search tonight to hear as many song versions of this Psalm as possible. I composed a piano piece based on Psalm 23 an am interested in hearing what others have done with it.

I may be wrong but I think it's Howard Goodall. He gets credit for the theme tune to British Sit-com Vicar of Dibley and this is the theme tune.
