do i have any money to buy expansion packs for the sims 4? no. am i going to watch a 24 minute video about what expansion packs to buy? yes edit: can people please stop commenting under this comment from like 100 years ago it sends me a email every time
spending money on sims is too painful because I'm either gonna get bored after playing for 24hrs straight or a whole month. Edit: bought seasons..it's the second day. 10/10 would recommend
Phoenix Sims 4 wont download on my iMac 2007 :(( like it downloaded but it said it can’t run until I buy the legacy edition and I’m downloading the legacy addition and just downloading the sims used up almost all of our WiFi :
Phoenix lol same. That’s why I like when they have the packs on discount so that way I feel somewhat better about buying the game and getting bored because I know at least I didn’t pay for the full price 😂
Grace Flores I just got cats and dogs and would 10 out of 10 recommend most of my house holds now have pets. The world is one of my favs and I love the build and buy stuff. Hope this helps!
Baby_ Weirdo yeah, the game costs money. but on origin they currently have sale so you can get it for €10 instead of €40 . i play it on a laptop and it is a bit laggy because it’s not a game laptop and it’s quite old but it works fine for me
@Baby_ Weirdo you can play on a laptop or desktop. right now, at least in America where I live, the base game is on sale for $5, the expansion packs are on sale for $20, the game packs are on sale for $15, and stuff packs cost $10. just download origin on your computer (which is free and launches games), and see how much everything will cost you.
@Baby_ Weirdo Yes you can play on a laptop but if it is not a gamer laptop it will be slow. Expansion packs are $40, game packs $20, and stuff packs $10. The game used to cost $40 but now it costs $10. Without discounts, the total of game+packs is 810 dollars.
Seasons stressed me out. My Sims kept freezing to death 😭 they had a house party. Someone froze to death. They all went out to look and cry. Then they all just starting dropping like flies. It was hilarious and devastating at the same time. I lost 6 of 8 of my household that tragic day. Now I pay a lot more attention to everyone and what they're doing. I don't need anyone else dying.
@@dtsotm I do use the thermostats. But they all kept going outside. I tried to lock all the doors but some of the guests were looked out. It was a mess. I have had another party since then and it went so much smoother only because we moved house in Oasis Springs. No snow. Just gotta worry about heat stroke now😁😭
I think Get Together doesn't get as much recognition it deserves in terms of Build and Buy items. It's very versatile, it introduces both modern and older style looking objects. It also adds pool water textures, the super simple column that is essential to almost all of my builds and and incredible world. I think Winderburg is the best world in the game because it's soooo versatile and huge. I'd highly recommend to get it too at first for anyone who is interested more in building rather than gameplay, because even though the Clubs are fun, they don't impact the overall gameplay of The Sims 4 if you don't actively use them. Either way, my favourite expansion pack.
My thoughts exactly - people always dig into the gameplay aspect, but the cas, build and buy, and the world are incredible. It was the first expansion that I got and I have absolutely no regrets with it, I use it all the time. (That being said, I think that all the other expansions are really strong too, and it is hard to pick a "worst")
For those who can't wait: Cats and dogs=yes City living=yes Parenthood=yes Island living=yes Vampires=yes Realm of magic=yes Seasons=yes Laundry day stuff or vintage glamour=yes Get famous=yes Get to work=yes Get together=not really Outdoor retreat=not really My first pet stuff=yes Spooky stuff=nah (You should chose the stuff packs based on your interests) That's all, still watch the video for more info👌🏻
They are 50% off right now. But yeah over priced and too much even for 20$ it's a bit much. I just got sims 4 for the first time still haven't played it but darn did I do research before deciding on the ones I wanted watched three different reviews on each pack. Glad I did. In the end I only found one expansion packs that I thought might kinda be worth it and just got one game pack. I don't see any point in any of the stuff packs however I did get the toddler pack as I do want to try out the 100 baby challenge and well toddler may make it more difficult. Also if you are just looking for reviews I do recommend LGR over most other reviewers. I have found most people only review the good sides. This review did so good at reviewing only the good points that I would have wished I had enough money to get them all. Now instead I can feel better knowing I'm not the fool who bought all the packs.
It was the first pack I bought and I seriously regret my choice. I never use the pets because they are just annoying. The clothes and town are cool but other packs offer more.
@@finnsnow2495 This "person" is Deligracy, and yes, I highly recommend you subscribe, as she presents the Sims in a fun and bubbly way. If you like more series based gameplay, may I suggest Clare Siobhan, who has just finished her 300+ part series with lots of spin off series, which could take a while to catch up on, but she has just started the Disney Princess challenge. Geez I'm starting to sound like an advertisement!
So I just bought Laundy Day this Christmas. *Is it normal that my female sim can always do the laundry and is fine but whenever her husband does it he sets the house on fire?!* After the first time I thought "alright that happens" but it happened to him 5 times in a row and now he is dead...
I’m 😂 ‘cause I don’t know if you’re being serious or not. But in real life, yeah, that’s kind of normal. Either men are genuinely useless with housework ‘cause they’ve always relied on their mother to do it... or they’re deliberately useless just so the female in their life steps in and does it all for them. Serves him right to take it too far and end up dead 😆
Earl And true... (To clarify I am lucky my husband is an unusual exception to this he is far better than I am at these things but honestly can’t say the same for most men I know in real life...)
That's precisely why I gave in and got Sims 4 basegame during the Steam Summer Sale. I was like "(BEEP) it, I'm bored, it's hot out and this game would be _amazing_ for quarantine. Also it's already SIX YEARS OLD!" And random people actually like the stuff I build, so that cheers me up too. :)
Please allow closed captions on your videos. I have an hearing impairment so I just had to watch whatever you put on screen to get your list, assuming you went top to bottom :( PS: If anyone could reply the list that Deli provided ranked that would be a great help! Im trying to pick which add-ons to get! PPS: Thank you so much to the people that took the time and actually summarized the video. It means a lot so thank you!!
@@thesimplifestyle2022 I'll walk you thru the things she says thru the video :) WHAT IS AN EXPANSION PACK? The biggest pack you can get in the sims 4. A whole new experience in the game. WHAT IS A STUFF PACK? Some stuff to add to your game and some gameplay. WHAT IS A GAME PACK? It's in the middle of a stuff pack and expansion pack. Objects, cas, and gameplay. Deli's recommended expansion pack is CATS & DOGS! - Beautiful world and traditional/homey objects - You can customize your own dogs and cats - You can venture into the game business-style by running a vet! If you're not into that kind of stuff, she recommends CITY LIVING! - Beautiful scenery/ more modern style objects - Metropolitan careers - Keep in mind that the clothes are very "out there" in color scheme, kinda culturally specific as well - You can live in high-rise apartments, different than base game low lying houses! - Festivals! The festivals are PACKED with gameplay Deli's recommended game pack is PARENTHOOD! - All the other packs are more young adult/adult based and this pack gives you nice incorporation of all ages. - ACNE! - The clothes give off a homey/comfy vibe - The build mode objects are (in my opinion) AMAZING. - You can discipline, give time outs, and build character traits in your toddlers, children, and teens. - One thing to keep in mind that there is no new world For stuff packs, Deli recommends taking a look at all of them! If you're more into the parenting kind of thing, take a look at the kids stuff pack and the toddler stuff pack! If you're into glamour, take a look at vintage glamour stuff! I'm not going to list every stuff pack, cause there's like a million, but I'm sure you can look at them and decide which ones interest you! BUYING FOR KIDS - Deli recommends Cats and Dogs, Island Living, Vampires, Realm of Magic, and the stuff packs would be up to you! I really hope this helped you! :) I'm sorry that Deli doesn't have captions enabled, I hope she fixes the issue so that you can watch her videos! Also, TAKE ADVANTAGE of the SALES! It's not every day where we get them! :)
She doesn't rank them individually, she only lists what packs might suit you best according to your game style. I will explain the video. * First Deli talks about the difference of expansion pack (EP), game pack (GP), and stuff pack (SP). Around 3:13 she's talking about how we can go online and check out what's in every pack. * *Generally*, Deli's 1st recommendation for EP is Cats & Dogs because the new world is fun to play in, pets are fun to design, it has lots of gameplay (including being a vet), and it has versatile build and CAS items. The 2nd recommended EP is City Living because you can experience living in the city with all its uniqueness. For GP Deli recommends Parenthood because it gives lots of gameplay for family as a whole. The drawback is that it doesn't have a new world. For SP just look at each one and see which one that suits your style. * For parents or if you're *buying for kids or young teenager* Deli recommends Cats & Dogs or Island Living for the EP and Vampire or Realm of Magic for the GP. She thinks those packs might be fun and suitable for kids. * *Deli's personal favorite* packs are Season (EP. It brings realism to the game), Parenthood (GP. Versatile items, feels natural), Laundy Day Stuff (SP. Realistic, great CAS and build items), and Vintage Glamour Stuff (SP. It introduces butler in the game). * Recommended packs *for those who love to build* are City Living (if you want to build apartments. It also has modern/industrial looking theme), Vampires and/or StrangerVille (if you like Victorian style), Get Famous, Perfect Patio, Bowling Night Stuff, and kids and toddler stuff packs (if you want more stuff for kids) * Recommended packs *for those who love to play* are Get to Work, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Discover University, Get Famous, Dine Out, and StrangerVille. For SP just choose whatever you like. * *Deli's personal least favorite packs* are: Get Together (Windenburg is very pretty and it has great items, but the pack has confusing theme), Outdoor Retreat (the items only focused for camping so Deli doesn't really use them often), and Spooky Stuff (most of the clothes are just for dress up. But it has a pumpkin carving station if you're interested).
whattt? get together is great, the club system is extremely useful, the cafes are great, windenberg is probably the best town, the hairs and clothes are some of the prettiest, and also, if you like to play with young adults that like to party, get together is essential because it adds so much to the party and clubbing experience. it's criminally underrated
@@w1nterdays I know I’m going really late but city living is great for all simmers because it brings so many great build items, apartments that are fun to live in and design, festivals that bring a fun change of pace to your day, a few really good cas items, and new careers.
Seasons and city living fits most people’s interests whereas Eco lifestyle is selectively enjoyed by the public just because of its gameplay. City living has amazing festivals, build and buy items. Seasons has holidays and weather which adds so much to gameplay. They have some pretty cool clothes too. Eco Lifestyle focuses on an alternative way of living (more green) and you have the option to make Evergreen Harbour a good place to live in or absolutely horrible. However, I do believe that Eco Lifestyle gets shitted on way too much cuz it really isn’t that bad. I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s all really up to your interests.
Yep. Sales, bundles and read up on exactly what stuff which ones have, so you know ahead of time _which ones actually fit your playstyle_ . Stop and look at the pack closely and go "Okay, sure, this stuff _looks_ cool...but will I USE it?" If the answer is no, don't buy! This can help a lot.
Appreciate this video! I'm a mother of 11, 4 of which are currently obsessed with this game. They keep asking for more add-ons for it, and I was wondering what packs are good, Thank you! Happy Holidays!
@@hehehehheheheehehehehehheh6644 Haha, it's not to bad, I only had 2 of my own, and my husband, and I adopted 10. I'm very blessed to have them be well behaved, otherwise I would be stressed lol
Oopsies... I bought all of the expansion packs I didn't have yesterday 😬 But I'll still watch this for the game packs and stuff packs and because it's Deli! 😂💛
What does you having bought all the expansion packs you didn’t have have to do with anything though lmao. You bought all of them anyway so the expansion pack portion of the video obviously isn’t for you.
this uploading everyday is honestly a blessing, i've been watching deli since the Barbie LP back when I was saving up money to buy a computer and TS4...now here I am still watching and playing the Sims constantly
My first expansion pack was island living My first game pack was vampires My first stuff pack was my first pet bd I had cats and dogs My favourite packs are island living get to Together seasons discover university and vampires
From a Builders perspective: If you like making magical builds (cottages, taverns, villages): Get Together and Romantic Garden are the best. Vampires is great, but better for making like castles. Also Outdoor Retreat has great off the grid items. Jungle Adventures is also a great one. Magical Realm has amazing debug items, but the normal items are a bit meh. Family oriented homes: Seasons, Cats and Dogs, Parenthood and Laundry are all great. Cant choose honestly. Modern builds: Get Famous and City Living are a must. Also Vintage Glamour and Moschino are great. The Patio pack is a must imo. Also: Wellnessday, Fitness pack and Bowling, but you get less for your bucks. For European townhouses, classical mansions and castles: University (the windows and doors are sooo good, so are the stone walls. Use them all the time), Strangerville (especially for a more french theme, because those windows!), Vampires is a must! Very victorian and more older luxury. Romantic Garden and Vintage Glamour also so good. My favorites: Strangerville, University, Get Together, Vampires, Romantic Garden and Magical Realm (for debug and the world). Laundry is amazing, but for me only for the washer and dryer. Quick note: I have all the packs, so the ones I did not mention are truly not worth it unless you have the money.
I've been looking at a lot of speed throughs of some stuff I wanna build. I love anything goth so Vampires is my favorite, planning to get Realm of Magic as well for the fantasy feel and I like the build stuff. Kinda felt personally attacked when she said spooky stuff is the worst. I love the costume parties and spiderweb themed stuff. 😅
Oh, good to know Outdoor Retreat has good off the grid items! I'm in kind of a do it yourself, make your own stuff, live with nature kind of a mood right now and I put together a bundle on Origin that included Eco Lifestyle, Outdoor Retreat and Laundry Day/Nifty Knitting (haven't decided on that one). Those things seem to theme together pretty well.
for christmas, my dad bought 6 dlc packs for me: -cats & dogs (for the pets, mainly doggos) -seasons (for the calendar & weather types) -parenthood (because i love playing families and legacies) -spa day (for the wellness skill, yoga and bath soaks) -laundry day stuff (for the general home-ly lifestyle tbh) -toddler stuff (again, i love playing families, particularly children) i have loved these packs for ages, and i’m so so grateful to finally own them. recently, because of the new year sale, i bought discover university with my own money, and i adore that pack also. 🥰
broo my dad would never, he thinks its sorta dodgy that i got the sims 4 on sale for $5 but an addon is $26. however, im getting my very first expansion pack soon :D im so excited
It's very nice that this video is also targeted towards parents who just want to buy something for their kids and aren't into gaming etc. themselves. I assume it would be very helpful for them.
I woke up thinking what packs I wanted for Christmas to tell my mom and I checked my phone and I saw this video and it made me so happy and it made my day knowing it was you! I love you! And Merry Christmas!
Friend the tv show? so no one told you that life was gonna be this way (clap) (clap) (clap) and you always get stuck in second year when it hasn't been your day I'll be there for you! When teh rain starts to fall ill be there for you! Like I never have before ooh (Monica turns of light)
*WHY* does *GET* *TOGETHER* get soooooo much hate!?!?!? It is my *favorite* expansion pack next to City Living!!! You get social gathering clubs AND you get nightlife dance clubs! *AND* you get the *BIGGEST* world in the game!!!!! Get Together deserves more love and appreciation!!!!
Fun fact: i used to despise Parenthood, like, never caught my eye but ever since i got it... I can't help myself to maximize character values. Solid 10/10 pack
This is incredibly useful, I've been a long time sims 3 player and this year, with the quarantine I got a huge urge to try the sims 4. I'm still a bit salty of how expensive and incomplete the sims 4 is, but I really really want to play it and this video really helped to chose which xpacs are the best for my playstyle. In fact I loved how Deli gave recommendations for different types of players. The sims is such an open gameplay world that not everyone plays it in the same way. That's one of the things I love most about it.
i think outdoor retreat isn't really bad. actually it's one of my favorites. i really like going on a vacation just like we used to do in sims 2 bon voyage. also if you like nature, you would probably enjoy with this pack. my sims are going to forest almost every week because it's so fun :d
The funny thing is my first 2 expansion packs I got was Cats & Dogs and City living😂 Love you deli! Rlly enjoying this info bc Christmas is soon and I want to buy some new packs and stuff!
My must haves are Seasons Cats and dogs City living Discover university Parenthood Laundry day Kids stuff Toddler stuff And my first pet cause it goes with kids rooms well
I'm deciding between city living and get famous, I really like both but I really like the idea of my Sims being famous so I'll have to go for that. I'm asking for a Sims bundle, but my parents think it's too expensive so I'll have to settle for one expansion. If I could get a bundle though, I'd want get famous/city living, dine out/the camping one, laundry day stuff/movie/bowling stuff. I just think it would be cool to have more places for my Sims to go out seeing as all I have is the base game and I'm kinda fed up of taking my Sims to the park to go out as there are no more places.
@@melonymelon1357 I would buy City Living because I have both get famous and city living. Get famous is fun when you first play through it (in my opinion) while city living never gets old. It adds more cultural and fun stuff to CAS and the gameplay is so much fun.
Piggle Wiggle621 haha I ended up buying it its kind of frustrating to take the family photos when you have more than 3 sims but I think it was worth it
no offense Deli but how can you not recommend Seasons as one of the best expansion packs to get??? it adds so much to the existing game and just makes it so much more immersive and fun!
I was thinking that as well. As much as I love City Living and the fact that it adds a world, Seasons is way above it on my list of packs that add to the game.
I love seasons but I think if you're getting The Sims 4 for the first time or this would be the first add ons you get to the base game something with an extra world would give you a better experience than just having seasons added to the worlds you already have. Obviously everyone's opinion is different but I tried to think of how I would feel and what I would want if I only had the base game.
As she said, it's best for experienced players. Newbies would find the different temperatures a bit hard to cope with on top of regular gameplay. It's fine if you know the game, but maybe too much if you're just starting.
I like how you recommend these packs. You didn't let your personal opinion get in the way, and you kept in mind different gameplay styles. Most simmers I've watched critic the packs usually put down the more magical packs because they personally prefer family gameplay, which doesn't really help those who like the theme know if the packs are worth the money or not. You kept in mind the individual player which is SO important in the decision process of buying packs. You also explained how the game and the packs work, which is going to be SUPER helpful for first time players and parents. When I was a kid I thought each expansion pack for the sims 3 was a completely separate game and was confused on why there was so many different sims games. Great job on the video! It was a breath of fresh air and I can see this video being really helpful for parents and simmers.
Get Together is honestly one of my favorite packs. I love making it easier to gather my sims’ friends and family out in the world. My teen sims always hang out at the bowling alley and my family including grandmas and grandpas can gather at the park. Windenburg is also the best. Such a fun and big world.
i really like get together, i love the ability to make clubs and the world is beautiful... my worst expansion is island living because there is nothing to do. i agree with outdoor retreat is the worst, i barely ever use it. i still think my first pet is the worst stuff pack, and its because i don't like any of the items except for the blinds
I just got Island living and you're right, the only thing I enjoy a lot is the CAS items and thr mermaid but that's it. It makes me miss the Island expansion pack in sims 3
@@Itbillie I think mermaids could've been heaps better tbh, they should've been more in depth like vampires or spellcasters. It could've been a good pack, it looks good with the world, cas, build/buy items but theres barely any game play. the island pack in sims 3 was really good, it was laggy for most but it was okay for me - I wish we had resorts with sims 4 and it would've been heaps better.
My first packs were Cats and Dogs, Seasons, and Laundry Day. Then I got Vampires, and now I have University and am currently planning on getting Parenthood.
The packs I have are: Cats&Dogs Vampires Moschino Laundry day Toddler Stuff Vintage Glamour Backyard Kids room I would suggest all of those along with City Livving Seasons University Parenthood Realm of Magic Spa Day Fitness stuff Cool kitchen And perfect Padio
Yep! Recently got Seasons, Cats and Dogs and City Living (and Tiny Living) all at 50% off, and the basegame was half off on Steam too, during the summer sale. For me, those are all working out great, but your own mileage may vary.
As a parent, this is a great, informative video for other parents whose children may be asking for Sims this holiday season. Well done Deli, wonderful as always!! Blessed be! 🙂
I have all the packs as I got them as they came out but watching this made me appreciate them more, especially the older ones! I forgot how much they add to the game and what I’ve been taking for granted. Made me want to build a house with several rooms and each room is themed around a pack 😂 Maybe that’s a new challenge you could do too Deli!
I tend to play historical eras, specifically Victorian, and often go in and edit the entire town to fit my theme. For this I would highly recommend Get Together for its world and clothing. Vampires, laundry day, and vintage glamour, which I don’t have, would also help this greatly. I also have Bowling Stuff which can help in some cases.
Thanks Deli! I have most of these packs, but still like watching. The only thing I disagreed with was Outdoor Retreat - I found the build and buy stuff vital to doing a rags to riches story. I just bought it as one of my later packs and I’m really enjoying it. The tent, campfire, cooler is really handy for my sims that start with nothing! Of course, that type of gameplay isn’t everyone’s thing.
I wish there was an easy way to view your game stats - like what CAS items you use the most, or what pack you use most often to build, etc. I think that would be really fun to see.
Idk now but before the update when you click at the icon you could turn the pack off so you could try make a family and build and the see how that goes and if is very annoying.
I know that my first pet stuff wasn’t something that everyone liked and they thought that you should just get it with Cats and Dogs but on console you can’t own it at all which is annoying if your trying to recreate a build by someone else and they use that pack you don’t have the option to buy it which is really annoying and I think they still should have still released it on console
I TOTALLY agree! I have the seasons and I love it (it’s my favorite expansion!!), it’s so funny because you said the laundry day pack and that’s also my favorite stuff pack!
I have Get To Work and Seasons and I am probably getting vampires and maybe cats and dogs. I personally recommend Get to Work. It has a lot of cool build and buy items, cool jobs, and a lot of new gameplay with freeze rays, controlling sims and aliens. It also adds the option to make a retail store. Although it’s lacking in the CAS items and the world is super small and only for retail stores.
Ellen Abildgaard Andersen but I will play as a vampire and I love the rpg style skill tree and the ability to break into sims homes and turn them into vampires. You can kill all the vampires and be the only one, or turn everyone to vampires. You can also be an anti-vampire.
it's mi They do get a bit repetitive but the rewards of especially the scientist are worth it. It also much funner than waiting around for your sim to come back from work. There are 3 jobs with a lot of different gameplay. Plus you can make a retail store of anything, paintings, food, collectibles and more.
That's smart! I just wnet to my step dad and talk about the Sims and 3 days later it arrived in the mail ( I don't mean to sound rude or like I'm bragging)
I wish this was out earlier!! My first expansion pack was Get Famous and, I regret it. But my first stuff and game pack was Parenthood and Movie hangout stuff and i love them!
I personally always recommend Get Together, because of the tons of build/buy mode items, closets, dance floors, etc, but mostly for Windenburg, for the charm of its old world European villages, the island with its modern homes, and the gorgeous countryside area, that feels like it's truly out in the wilderness. I rarely use the club system, but it's handy for getting some things done. Windenburg is the largest (most lots) world we've gotten with any expansion. It's probably based on Germany, which is why it has the modern nightlife, combined with the fairy tale type builds. I also love Outdoor Retreat, not for vacations, although Granite Falls is gorgeous, but for all the camping gear, which I use all the time, and is essential for off-the-grid living. I've built a national park in the Windenburg countryside, using Outdoor Retreat items, added a pond that sims can swim and fish in, and I place it into every save file for my sims to relax and regroup without having to pay for a daily rental in Granite Falls. :)
I have vampires, relm of magic and island living and now it’s really hard to make sims that are just humans because I know I can make them something supernatural
My opinion: Expansion Packs *Seasons* This pack introduces the 4 seasons. There's special events, holidays and you can get new items of clothing and hairstyles. You can even pick a warm weather look and a cold weather look for your sims! *Cats and dogs* In this pack cats and dogs are introduced into the game. You unlock a lovely new world, outfits for your pets and lots of very cool clothing. There are many breeds of dogs and cats alike, and you can even create your very own mixed breed! *Runner up* Get famous This introduces simstagram and fame. City living Unlock apartments and different festivals! Game packs *Parenthood* Discipline your child, unlock hairstyles and clothing, learn the parenting skill... this pack has it all!! Stuff packs. *Runner up* Outdoor Retreat This pack isn't for all, but for those who love the outdoors, this is a must have. You can take your sims camping, unlock tents, eat meals at picnic tables... *Tiny living* Create your own tiny home, unlock tiny furniture and special traits! This pack is a must have. *Runner up* My first pet stuff This is a rather underrated pack. I mean, who wouldn't want hamsters in their game?!?! You can also unlock more outfits for your pets (cats and dogs expansion pack is needed).
Theyre last name is Heck loooool. You can be friends with them in the pack "cats and dogs", where they live in a house in Brindleton Bay (the world we get with the pack) with a pug :3 But when I realized that they werent roommates but husbands, I got really happy. Its so wholesome
Omg this really helps I have been doing chores to save up for a pack while it’s on sale I’m so happy you made this video it really helps and I didn’t know which one to buy 😂🤣
I have all the expansion packs except for Get together and I honestly have to say that Get Famous, City Living, Seasons, University, Get to work are the packs that will make you play for hours without the use of cheats. Island living is eh, I enjoy the mermaids a lot
@beeily I know I’m late but I would say City Living, the apartments are really fun to play with and there’s lots of fun stories you could play using the neighbor system😊 I have that pack and I love using the apartments
I don't play this game, but I love how calm you are in your explanations. Too many gamers act crazy with the visuals and clips and think they have to be so damn "crazy". Thanks for the clear and orderly and handy overview.
Hohoho! Merry Deli Christmas!🎄❤️ Las december I got the sims, my first expansion pack was “Get famous”, my first game pack was “Parenthood”, and I still haven’t bought a stuff pack, haha 😂
Get together is great! The ability to create clubs based on various qualifications and whatever, and having a bunch of friends that you can quickly gather up and hang out with is really fun. And Windenburg is one of the best worlds with a ton of lots.
my recommendation as a 12 year old is to firstly get the expansion packs then game pack or stuff pack, whatever suits you. I do definitely believe though that you should get expansions first. I am working on getting all of the expansion packs then game packs, then stuff packs. My order so far city living, get to work, seasons, discover university and the current pack I am up to is island living as of 2 weeks ago. This the order that suits me and my aesthetic and style of game play let me know what order you have done. This is what I would recommend. I purchased the sims 4 on June 18 2018 after watching Deligracy since late 2015 and Clare Siobhan since late 2016.
i think it would have been good if you mentioned some of the inherent problems with some of these packs that would deter people away from certain packs and toward other packs!
Should I buy parenthood or Get toghether? I have almost no money, so should i save for the Get toghether or get parenthood right now? Which one would you recommend? And can u guys tell me some more about the get famous pack? Thank you❤👑
LovaLovaLo well it depends if you like building get together but if your more of the actual family playing style then parenthood and also if you want get famous I recommend getting city living and get together first because they add the skills dancing and singing which is useful for get famous
I can't get every Expansion Pack, Game Pack, and Stuff Pack, but I can get some, I really have no idea which pack to get next, I was thinking about buying Island Living, ParentHood, and Laundry Stuff all together but I don't know if those packs are the right ones to get, I don't wanna waste my money buying something that is really bad, so this video really helped! Thanks Deli!
My Favorite Packs: The Sims 4: Discover University (Expansion) the Sims 4: Seasons (Expansion) The Sims 4: Parenthood (Game) The Sims 4: Cats + Dogs (Expansion) The Sims 4: Vampires (Game) The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat (Game) I feel like Get to Work changed the franchise, though. Reason being that in the previous games, jobs were rabbit holes {you couldn't follow your Sims into work). Now, if you buy Get to Work, you can actually go to work with your Sims in some jobs. Jobs were rabbit holes since 2000, the year the franchise's first game was released, then March 2015 happened, and some new jobs were added without rabbit holes! This comment is coming from a twelve year old.
This is how I see it Expansion packs: A permanent change to the game, has more impact on the game as well. Usually include a new big neighbourhood, new sims, new jobs, CAS stuff, build mode stuff, and a new mechanic in the game. No matter where you go, you’ll always be reminded of the expansion pack due to its big variety and mechanics. Game packs: An optional form of gameplay, if you don’t go/do stuff, you’ll forget it exists. Usually includes a new small neighbourhood, a few new sims, one or two jobs, CAS stuff, build mode stuff, and a small mechanic in the game. If you do/go to specific places/things, you’ll experience all of what the game pack offers. In your sims game, you can choose whether it’ll be apart of your gameplay experience or not. Stuff packs: A nice addition to spice up your game and give you a bigger variety. Usually includes CAS stuff, build mode stuff, and a small mechanic to the game. If you get bored of the same things in CAS or the same stuff in build mode, then you can get a pack with more variety. Some stuff can offer/have new actions, moods, and services.
My fave packs are: (I don’t actually have all of them though) Tiny living Seasons Island living Get together (I don’t know if it’s worth it but I love the world/build style) Laundry day Parenthood Vintage glamour Nifty knitting Outdoor retreat (I like the vacation add-on) City living Perfect patio
This is actually a very good video deli! Love this!! I'm getting a bundle now of seasons + parenthood + tiny living as my first add-ons to the basic game. The upside of being in quarantine 😅
I have a few packs already like cats and dogs, parent hood, seasons and more so I decided to ask for university and laundry day thanks Deli! But I am going to look on my game to see some more xx!

Baby_ Weirdo yeah, the game costs money. but on origin they currently have sale so you can get it for €10 instead of €40 . i play it on a laptop and it is a bit laggy because it’s not a game laptop and it’s quite old but it works fine for me
Baby_ Weirdo i don’t know exactly. just look on the origin site
I’d love to buy them all, but im ☆ 𝓫𝓻𝓸𝓴𝓮 ☆

There’s a sale right now on origin until January 3rd. If you’re younger, just ask your mom and dad for the sims for Christmas. :)
Sims 4 on ps4 is £9 in the UK, it was like £ 32 before
Seasons stressed me out.
OMG. Thanks for the hilarious story.
you need to buy a thermostat for the house 😂
That's great haha TS4 needs a little more controversy, I should get Seasons.
@@dtsotm I do use the thermostats. But they all kept going outside. I tried to lock all the doors but some of the guests were looked out. It was a mess. I have had another party since then and it went so much smoother only because we moved house in Oasis Springs. No snow. Just gotta worry about heat stroke now😁😭
Cherina Phillips wow that’s annoying, maybe you could form a group and use the ‘go here together’ action?
Saulė Stasiulytė I completely agree. I use get together so much!
Although I do think get together should be a game pack.
Ainnsley Rouse 24 lots is 2x as many as get famous and there’s 4 districts. EP makes sense
Saulė Stasiulytė Yes. The CAS is versatile too. I think Windenburg and Brindleton Bay are both nice worlds to play in.
For those who can't wait:

There's absolutely no way I'm buying any of them unless they're intensely discounted, to say they're overpriced would be a huge understatement
I would wait till their on sale than
They are 50% off right now. Now instead I can feel better knowing I'm not the fool who bought all the packs.
they're so freaking expensive even on a discount bc of my country's currency :/
I only get them when they are on sale cause that’s a lot of money for he regular price the EP cost more than the game itself
I've bundled before and it's around the same price for all three as it is when they're on sale. You have to have one of each type that you want though

So I just bought Laundy Day this Christmas. *Is it normal that my female sim can always do the laundry and is fine but whenever her husband does it he sets the house on fire?!*
After the first time I thought "alright that happens" but it happened to him 5 times in a row and now he is dead...

@@thesimplifestyle2022 I'll walk you thru the things she says thru the video :)
WHAT IS AN EXPANSION PACK? The biggest pack you can get in the sims 4. A whole new experience in the game.
WHAT IS A STUFF PACK? Some stuff to add to your game and some gameplay.
WHAT IS A GAME PACK? It's in the middle of a stuff pack and expansion pack. Objects, cas, and gameplay.
Deli's recommended expansion pack is CATS & DOGS!
- Beautiful world and traditional/homey objects
- You can customize your own dogs and cats
- You can venture into the game business-style by running a vet!
If you're not into that kind of stuff, she recommends CITY LIVING!
- Beautiful scenery/ more modern style objects
- Metropolitan careers
- Keep in mind that the clothes are very "out there" in color scheme, kinda culturally specific as well
- You can live in high-rise apartments, different than base game low lying houses!
- Festivals! The festivals are PACKED with gameplay
Deli's recommended game pack is PARENTHOOD!
- All the other packs are more young adult/adult based and this pack gives you nice incorporation of all ages.
- ACNE!
- The clothes give off a homey/comfy vibe
- The build mode objects are (in my opinion) AMAZING.
- You can discipline, give time outs, and build character traits in your toddlers, children, and teens.
- One thing to keep in mind that there is no new world
For stuff packs, Deli recommends taking a look at all of them!
BUYING FOR KIDS -
Deli recommends Cats and Dogs, Island Living, Vampires, Realm of Magic, and the stuff packs would be up to you!
I really hope this helped you! :) I'm sorry that Deli doesn't have captions enabled, I hope she fixes the issue so that you can watch her videos! Also, TAKE ADVANTAGE of the SALES! It's not every day where we get them! :)
@@jenna-nl5gx you're doing the Lord's work 👌🏼👌🏼
Michaela Belle Aww, thank you!
It also has modern/industrial looking theme), Vampires and/or StrangerVille (if you like Victorian style), Get Famous, Perfect Patio, Bowling Night Stuff, and kids and toddler stuff packs (if you want more stuff for kids)
* Recommended packs *for those who love to play* are Get to Work, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Discover University, Get Famous, Dine Out, and StrangerVille.

Evelyn V HAHAHAHA
The sims 4*
Lol
Evelyn V they still don’t they have a bunch of detail on them
XVI The Sims 4* I’m just going to do what you did
whattt? get together is great, the club system is extremely useful, the cafes are great, windenberg is probably the best town, the hairs and clothes are some of the prettiest, and also, if you like to play with young adults that like to party, get together is essential because it adds so much to the party and clubbing experience. it's criminally underrated
@vanilla angel seasons r a necessity, u can add holidays and stuff
@beeily city living would be the last thing I’d recommend. It’s not that great tbh. Seasons first, then eco lifestyle.
@@w1nterdays I know I’m going really late but city living is great for all simmers because it brings so many great build items, apartments that are fun to live in and design, festivals that bring a fun change of pace to your day, a few really good cas items, and new careers.
@beeily did you got seasons?
Me: "I want it"
Wallet: "No"
Getting sales and bundle discounts is a great budget plan.
lmaooo
I’m hoping to get it for Christmas this year, but I don’t have a PC, anyone know what pc I would need and if the sims is worth the money?

My first was City Living, Vampires and Backyard Stuff.
My first expansion pack was island living

My first stuff pack was my first pet bd I had cats and dogs
My favourite packs are island living get to Together seasons discover university and vampires
my first expansion was: get together
My first game pack: vampires
My first stuff pack: cool kitchen stuff
From a Builders perspective:
If you like making magical builds (cottages, taverns, villages): Get Together and Romantic Garden are the best.
For European townhouses, classical mansions and castles:
University (the windows and doors are sooo good, so are the stone walls.
Julia you forgot to put get together for european townhouses!
Thank you. Those recommendations were very helpful.
Those things seem to theme together pretty well.
for christmas, my dad bought 6 dlc packs for me:
-cats & dogs (for the pets, mainly doggos)
-seasons (for the calendar & weather types)
-parenthood (because i love playing families and legacies)
-spa day (for the wellness skill, yoga and bath soaks)
-laundry day stuff (for the general home-ly lifestyle tbh)
-toddler stuff (again, i love playing families, particularly children)
i have loved these packs for ages, and i’m so so grateful to finally own them. recently, because of the new year sale, i bought discover university with my own money, and i adore that pack also. 🥰
Sounds fun.

I agree with this 😆 Especiallly if you're a builder, you'd be surprised how many packs could go into a build.

My must haves are get together, discover university, fitness stuff, get famous, island living, and fitness stuff
Seasons are definitely a must have. Its by far the best
Kelsie Eaches yessss!!!
@@melonymelon1357 I would buy City Living because I have both get famous and city living. Get famous is fun when you first play through it (in my opinion) while city living never gets old. It adds more cultural and fun stuff to CAS and the gameplay is so much fun.

Agreed!
As she said, it's best for experienced players. Newbies would find the different temperatures a bit hard to cope with on top of regular gameplay. It's fine if you know the game, but maybe too much if you're just starting.
I hate seasons so much. It depends really on how you play the game.
I love how there is a kid and toddler pack but no teen pack.😂
Omg thanks for 100 likes!
333 likes... creepy
Thanks for almost 500 likes!
Simply Jessified we 👏🏻 need 👏🏻 an 👏🏻 elders 👏🏻 pack 👏🏻
Parenthood feels like a teen pack. The clothing is certainly more tern focused
We really need pre teen pack toooo
I think we need to have a teen pack and elder
prettyxfaith we don’t have pre teens...
i really like get together, i love the ability to make clubs and the world is beautiful... my worst expansion is island living because there is nothing to do. i agree with outdoor retreat is the worst, i barely ever use it. i still think my first pet is the worst stuff pack, and its because i don't like any of the items except for the blinds
Or become a dolphin or shark in the buoy
My first packs were Cats and Dogs, Seasons, and Laundry Day. Then I got Vampires, and now I have University and am currently planning on getting Parenthood.
The packs I have are:
Cats&Dogs
Vampires
Moschino
Laundry day
Toddler Stuff
Vintage Glamour
Backyard
Kids room
I would suggest all of those along with
City Livving
Seasons
University
Parenthood
Realm of Magic
Spa Day
Fitness stuff
Cool kitchen
And perfect Padio
I always get them when they’re on sale haha, I bought seasons and pets for 20 each, just gotta be patient ;)
Yes! Luckily they do sales pretty often.
Yep! Recently got Seasons, Cats and Dogs and City Living (and Tiny Living) all at 50% off, and the basegame was half off on Steam too, during the summer sale. For me, those are all working out great, but your own mileage may vary.
There are pages that sell it for around 15... Dont pay there. EA are awfully overpriced
I got cats and dogs, parenthood and toodler stuff on sale just for €25! (I play on ps4 and I got The bundle)
As a parent, this is a great, informative video for other parents whose children may be asking for Sims this holiday season. Well done Deli, wonderful as always!! Blessed be! 🙂
I love you deli!! This helped me a lot because I am getting packs for Christmas!
I LOVE you soo much Deligracy, keep doing what your doing, cause your doing AMAZING!
💜💜💜
My mom was actually asking me what ones I wanted for Christmas😂
Suggesting packs to parents who want to get the game for their kids:
" I use this stuff pack when I want to have an affair with my butler..."
Lol 😆
LMAOOO
Domt forget seasons, its the best no lie
11:20
“You can duel and learn spells.”
My brother: you can jUll?!?
i heard that too lol, my mum was walking into my room and just looked at me lol
I know that my first pet stuff wasn’t something that everyone liked and they thought that you should just get it with Cats and Dogs but on console you can’t own it at all which is annoying if your trying to recreate a build by someone else and they use that pack you don’t have the option to buy it which is really annoying and I think they still should have still released it on console
isobel warhurst Xbox
deli christmas is the only christmas i celebrate ❤️
OMG 🥺🥺🥺 DELI HEARTED PLEASE
My first ever Expansion pack was Cats and Dogs
My first Game pack was Vampires
And my first Stuff pack was laundry day!
But don't the jobs get boring after a while?
Vampire is not really worth it, unless you play as a vampire you wont use the objects
I low key asked my grandma for seasons before I got the sims so I could force my parents to buy it for me.
That's smart! I just wnet to my step dad and talk about the Sims and 3 days later it arrived in the mail ( I don't mean to sound rude or like I'm bragging)
Muffin Llama wow ahaha
@@leahdoherty2090 did it sound like I'm bragging? {=(
Muffin Llama Nope!
@@fuji6364 oh good!
If you like supernatural I suggest you get Get to Work for Aliens!
I always wait for a sale, they have 50% off sales pretty often and the base game gets really cheap from time to time.
i get so mad when i buy a pack then the next day it goes on sale
My opinion:
Expansion Packs
*Seasons*
This pack introduces the 4 seasons. There's special events, holidays and you can get new items of clothing and hairstyles. You can even pick a warm weather look and a cold weather look for your sims!
*Cats and dogs*
In this pack cats and dogs are introduced into the game. You unlock a lovely new world, outfits for your pets and lots of very cool clothing. There are many breeds of dogs and cats alike, and you can even create your very own mixed breed!
*Runner up*
Get famous
This introduces simstagram and fame.
City living
Unlock apartments and different festivals!
Game packs
*Parenthood*
Discipline your child, unlock hairstyles and clothing, learn the parenting skill... this pack has it all!!
Stuff packs.
*Runner up*
Outdoor Retreat
This pack isn't for all, but for those who love the outdoors, this is a must have. You can take your sims camping, unlock tents, eat meals at picnic tables...
*Tiny living*
Create your own tiny home, unlock tiny furniture and special traits! This pack is a must have.
*Runner up*
My first pet stuff
This is a rather underrated pack. I mean, who wouldn't want hamsters in their game?!?! You can also unlock more outfits for your pets (cats and dogs expansion pack is needed).
My fave packs are cats and dogs, island living, tiny living and eco lifestyle
4:54 anyone notice the two MEN getting married? My heart was so happy for them even though it’s virtual 🥺❤️
Theyre last name is Heck loooool.
You can be friends with them in the pack "cats and dogs", where they live in a house in Brindleton Bay (the world we get with the pack) with a pug :3
But when I realized that they werent roommates but husbands, I got really happy. Its so wholesome
Should I get the Discover University or the Get Famous expansion pack? They both look AMAZING!
Omg this really helps I have been doing chores to save up for a pack while it’s on sale I’m so happy you made this video it really helps and I didn’t know which one to buy 😂🤣
woah, cats and dogs and city living were my first packs.. and I got them like after this video came out....
deli knew everything :0
I have:
Get to work
City living
Parenthood
Seasons
ha ha, i have seasons, parenthood, cats and dogs, jungle adventure, and spooky stuff
Is city living good?
I have all the expansion packs except for Get together and I honestly have to say that Get Famous, City Living, Seasons, University, Get to work are the packs that will make you play for hours without the use of cheats. Island living is eh, I enjoy the mermaids a lot
@beeily I know I’m late but I would say City Living, the apartments are really fun to play with and there’s lots of fun stories you could play using the neighbor system😊 I have that pack and I love using the apartments
Cats and dogs and city living were both my first packs and parenthood
This is so helpful deli!! I planned on getting sims 4 for a Christmas gift for myself and now I know exactly what I’m going to get!
I don't play this game, but I love how calm you are in your explanations. Too many gamers act crazy with the visuals and clips and think they have to be so damn "crazy". Thanks for the clear and orderly and handy overview.
Deligracy: "Vampires don't drink blood in this pack, they drink plasma, so there isn't any gore-"
Caleb Vatore: **Chömp**
Not mentioning Get Together as prime for builders was a crime
Hohoho! Merry Deli Christmas!🎄❤️
Las december I got the sims, my first expansion pack was “Get famous”, my first game pack was “Parenthood”, and I still haven’t bought a stuff pack, haha 😂
Me who has bought almost all the dlc already: [clicking on video] ah yes this is useful for me
Adds a Subtle flex into a funny comment, noice
Me still watching with all expansions and game packs: OOoOh tHAt oNE loOKs niCe
i think it would have been good if you mentioned some of the inherent problems with some of these packs that would deter people away from certain packs and toward other packs!
@@sandipjawanda9252 Ok, thanks! I think I'll get parenthood cuz Im gonna do the 100 baby challenge. Thank you❤
I can't get every Expansion Pack, Game Pack, and Stuff Pack, but I can get some, I really have no idea which pack to get next, I was thinking about buying Island Living, ParentHood, and Laundry Stuff all together but I don't know if those packs are the right ones to get, I don't wanna waste my money buying something that is really bad, so this video really helped! Thanks Deli!
My Favorite Packs:
The Sims 4: Discover University (Expansion)
the Sims 4: Seasons (Expansion)
The Sims 4: Parenthood (Game)
The Sims 4: Cats + Dogs (Expansion)
The Sims 4: Vampires (Game)
The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat (Game)
I feel like Get to Work changed the franchise, though.
I personally thought Get to Work was the best addition the game could get. Watching Let's Plays of those on UA-cam made me finally buy the game.
I have had the Sims 4 for 4 years, I own every pack, why am I watching this video? Cause it’s Deli obviously
This is how I see it
Expansion packs: A permanent change to the game, has more impact on the game as well.
Great summary.
My fave packs are: (I don’t actually have all of them though)
Tiny living
Seasons
Island living
Get together (I don’t know if it’s worth it but I love the world/build style)
Laundry day
Parenthood
Vintage glamour
Nifty knitting
Outdoor retreat (I like the vacation add-on)
City living
Perfect patio
This is actually a very good video deli! Love this!! I'm getting a bundle now of seasons + parenthood + tiny living as my first add-ons to the basic game. The upside of being in quarantine 😅
Deli and I have the same favorite packs
I have no self control I’ve bought all the packs...
I know same
I am in a similar boat. I just buy them whenever they're on sale rather than when they first come out.
Girllll u could have just downloaded it from Simitups channel 😭😭 but atleast u went the legal way which is always better
omg are you broke now?
Madison Mason must be nice to afford it 😂🥺
No one:
Deli: You should buy these packs.
Me: *buys every single pack at full price”
Yes. If my kids knew how much money I've spent on this game, I'll be in big trouble. I will have to buy them everything they want.
Sameeeee
I have a few packs already like cats and dogs, parent hood, seasons and more so I decided to ask for university and laundry day thanks Deli! But I am going to look on my game to see some more xx!
I love it how you've gone through all the packs and chosen which ones are best for each type of game play
