When he picked me up at the airport he gave me a paper that had a list of things we would be doing: Statues, Museums, Old homes.
I looked at him and said, I want to meet real people, in no-go zones, including gang members, and Cite Soleil. He said with a smile "let's do it, I've been waiting my whole life for a tourist to say that."
Sean (my guide) has been working for various charities over the last 15-20 years, so his charities have visited the places less travelled (including Cite Soleil) and therefore he knows the elders. Which made it much easier to get approval to enter and film.

I innerstood everything bc I’m Haitian I can explain more better than the guide because iknow how difficult it can be translating creole to English which can make you not say certain things right or at all and not make any sense. ( great guide tho love him). The zombie powder works like this. The spirit and soul is not physical. It exists on a different phase of matter, the gas phase, the body is on the solid phase of matter and so everything else you see with your 2 eyes that’s physical(solid). That’s why when you think you see a “ghost” or feel a presence after one pass away is because they no longer in a physical body. They’re in their true form of existence as sprit and soul on the gas phase. You’ll have to have your spiritual eye( first eye or third eye, or the pineal gland) to see spirits. When a person pass away, the moment they pass, their spirit and soul is no longer in their body. While at a funeral when the family members cries, they basically calling upon that person giving that person attention & energy to come back. that’s where he gets capture inside a glass bottle or the pot shown. Once capture, at midnight you’ll go to the graveyard, smack the ground 7 times with that thing while saying/ repeating that person name. Tie the body before Pouring the spirit onto the body and make the body smell the powder then it will rise. The sprit need to be in the body for the body to be able to have consciousness to function. Once they rise they can make that person do whatever they would like them to do in that body. The spirit isn’t in control anymore. It is only put back into the body for it to have a consciousness to be able to function. It’s similar to mk ultra or the sunken place like in GET OUT. The voodoo dolls can be use for many other things Than making couple split or reconnecting couples together. To split a couple apart you’ll put their name (1time for male)(7times for female) or picture in both of the dolls and put them back to back and put a tie around them. Same thing to reconnect a couple together but face them towards each other and ties around. We aren’t being thought beyond this physical reality that we live which is hard to innerstand about magik. Nice work brother. Watched all your videos from Haiti. Any chance you visited other Departments like Grand'Anse, Sud, et al.? We were in Grand'Anse earlier this year. It is much more rural. While still poor it was not as miserable as the poverty in PAP and there are no armed gangs in the Grand'Anse. Thank you for doing this travel series. More Americans should visit Haiti.
My time in Haiti is limited and this is my first time here. I will return again one day soon, to see the rest of the country, because I'm sure this country has alot more to offer than the little I've seen in PAP. One thing I can say, I've met many wonderful people. Thank you for watching
