There’s no doubt that Vodou is a powerful spiritual tradition. The world’s first free black republic was formed, at least in part, thanks to the uniting spirit of Vodou. Vodou was the common thread that united leaders in the Haitian revolution, despite their lack of a common language, tribal bonds or country of origin. In the space of just a few years, in a seemingly miraculous feat against the odds, an army of slaves threw off their chains, overthrew the French colonial government, beat Napolean’s navy, abolished slavery, and formed modern day Haiti.
Today, perhaps not despite but because of these powerful roots, Vodou may just be the most maligned, feared and misunderstood spiritual tradition in the western world. This morning I was invited to attend a Vodou ceremony in Port-au-Prince Haiti to witness it for myself.

This day and tour was one of my favourite memories from anywhere in the world and i've visited over 100 countries. It was an emotional rollercoaster to learn from a man that is so passionate about what he teaches.

The day I filmed this video was one of the most incredible days of travelling in my life. I spent a good 8 hours with this priest, I watched a celebration at his temple, spoke with him in great detail (he speaks perfect English), and then he welcomed me into his secret room. I was very grateful that he shared so many stories and knowledge with a complete stranger. This is the exact reason I love to travel. The YT comments don't bother me, people speak openly about thinks they know nothing about. Thank you for watching.

Gosh I could go on forever. I wish I could find a way to convince these people that what they are doing is dangerous. I saw this type of stuff first hand in Central America too. How anyone could walk into that room, and look around and go "Ya this is great! This looks safe and like something I want to give my soul to! This is gonna work out just fine".

One of my favourite moments of my time in Haiti and one of my top travel experiences period.
I don’t really like this part of Haitian culture but it’s something that must be acknowledged and talked about. I remember when I visit New Orleans 3 years ago they had a museum dedicated to this and that’s when I learned this originated from west Africa I believe the country of Benin. I just always get bad vibes talking about voodoo culture, makes me super paranoid lolz. I guess it cause I never know if it’s something that should be celebrated or looked down upon/shamed.
You need to relearn life and the occult in secrets of it. Start with the laws of nature and polarity/duality. This is spirituality you’re looking at here.

Some of the men even had not guilty verdicts but due to poor record keeping, their court paperwork was lost, so they were never released. They let the devil in the door hoping for protection but all he did was gain access to ravage them. America is heaven on earth compared to a place like this; that's why hundreds of millions of people are trying to get into the US! BTW it's a shame many ppl consider Jesus the white man's God; he isn't even white, he's God, He's the Prince of Peace & belongs to every person, tribe & tongue.
