100% agree with you on the kentro nerfs. Everyone told me “it’s not that bad,” while entirely missing my point. Yes, it’s good that Kentro can’t be used aggressively now. But the problem is it can’t be played defensively either. And because of the turning nerfs on traction, bal tail, and speed nerf on lightweight, Kentro can no longer escape other mid-tiers. It’s options used to be: • stand your ground, fight back • run and let them bleed themselves out on your tail • make sharp turns and escape Now it feels unplayable. A cerato can 4-5 shot kentro, an alio can easily avoid tail attacks, speed allo and pycno can keep up with you and kill you easily. The turning nerf sucks, but it’s fair imo. But the hp, hp recovery, and bleed nerfs are way too far. They should’ve just nerfed its turning and bleed before changing any hp stuff.
A speed allo coming and kicking my ass by chasing and biting my tail until I keeled over humbled me real quick. u__u I used to be able to have a fighting chance against even a speed allo before the nerf, maybe even get it to back off on death match servers... Now... Ouchies.
I agree but if u played metri before....against an kent....not a sparkle of a chance. He cant run away, less stam, less stam regen, only better cw but a single kent shredded u.

The only time metri loses is when it just bites the kentro’s tail mindlessly, without timing claw attacks between tail swings. And now, after the update, if metri is losing a fight against a kentro, then the metri is just bad at using game sense.

The stomp locking you in place for a second or more after the animation finishes is bonkers. Kentro was very strong but they should have exhausted other options. Making a traction+balance tail Kent turn like a base Stego is insane, among other things. Hatz is still good but I will certainly miss the dogfights. Very solid on ground. Lamb tail attack was too fast, but 4 seconds is too long. Cera is still tough but I only had it out for a few fights. Wasn’t held back by an 8 second thrash timer. RIP land speed dinos. Jump height on Meg was a thoughtless addition. And never forget, Make Alio Great Again
Honestly, stego turns better than kentro i feel, even if stego is not using traction xD Yea hatz are actually pretty damn scary on the ground now its suprising Yea cera is still good, i wouldnt even call it a nerf really, you get a hit, reposition, get a hit reposition like a normal mid tier fight instead of playing mini rex walking forward sneezing your opponents to death xD Lamb is gonna be a rough one for players to get used to. I'm sad about my pachy being slower mainly from the subspecies change, jump height is nice but.... y'know xD
The Hatz nerf feels ridiculous, the flying stamina is FAR too short. You're lucky to get about a minute of flight time before having to land, just feels so out of place for a flying dino.
And when you have one of the best PM turning in the game as an apex, AND can 5 shot or less anything smaller than you, you'd expect people to want it to be worse lol. Smooth brained Apex mains are the biggest problem in PoT, they complain about EVERYTHING that can even exceed a 5th of their power.
How to play kentro: 1: BE AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE! The slower you move, the better you turn. This is easy to do as a mobile or console player. 2: DO EVERYTHING TO MAKE YOUR TURNING BETTER! 10% from traction can make worlds of difference, and use balanced tail since wind-up tail is unusable and death rattle leaves you open to attacks and smart players can avoid you. 3: PLAY AS DEFENSIVELY AS POSSIBLE! Since kentro doesn't have a switch(the ability to switch from passive to offensive to defensive to aggressive anytime in a fight), you need to stick with defensive as you need turning to play passive(to dodge and hit when you can), offensive(To try and find weak spots to attack at the perfect time), and aggressive(Wasting a lot to deal as much damage as possible). To be defensive, face your tail at opponents and keep your distance. When they try to turn and face you, run in a straight line(use long-distance runner and speed hide to be able to run when you need to), and while your running use your tail attack to move your hitbox. Try to curve and time it to the point where whenever your opponent attacks, your tail is curved away and whenever they are on cooldown or their damage duration ended you could tail swing and hit them. Let them bite your tail tip and keep on swinging to output as much bleed as possible. If your fighting a pyc or allo or dasp, try to dodge charges(they must charge at a distant to deal good damage, so when you run more than a kentro length away, stop for a small amount of time and let them get at least half a kentro length away and continue to run) and use try to pivot your tail and your body to dodge allo and dasp bites. When they back off, it means they are usually out of stam or are damaged/heavily bleeding, so turn around and don't let them sit. If you are injured, run away. If you are around half or more health, stay close to them. If you're patient then they will bleed out. You should be able to win fights against mid tiers in this way. Apexes are a no-no. Hope this helps!
Can we talk about Achillo’s 180 base power Shred? That’s absolutely disgusting. A couple of Achillos now melt all sub/apexes. Especially with the new call.

Well, too bad, because they can push a button and you will reveal yourself. I guess people now need to carry something in their mouth to avoid calling. 3. I feel they did ano a solid by making sure it cannot be knocked out of hunker. More and more dinos have knockback at this point, that ano needed this lifeline. Its gameplay literally relies on being a fortress and hunkering down. I feel they should reduce the AOE a bit, so that you can attack their head without taking damage from the tail but that is it. In return, it really needs a reduction in food and water drain speed. A dino that has no choice but stay still during an attack needs to be able to do so for a long period of time, since they are not the ones choosing the combat. People come to them. Starving them out should not be easy. Especially since it is just a cheap clown move.

Overall I'm kinda disappointed that the problem child (ano) was not addressed at all, if anything made worse due to the KB immunity, while Kentro got OVERnerfed (sure it could do with a nerf, but they kinda nerfed everything at once, instead of nerfing it step by step to find the sweet spot), Iggy got a completely unjustified whopping 1000 CW and 100 health nerf, Hatz had it's stamina destroyed when it already couldn't hover peck anymore anyway, and far as revenge killing goes - there's better ways of preventing that, that don't involve nerfing a playable into the ground. Meanwhile Dasps are absolute monsters now, and I bet nobody is going to complain, because they're Dasps so they get a "be OP for free" card. The only silver lining is that community servers can fix the stats, but RIP to everyone who plays officials.

They made Hatz more unbareable to fight, peck barrage can be spammed making it impossible to trade with it or avoid to stop them from getting stacks it does 84 dmg at max stacks to things its size or smaller and 80 to apexs, peck being unable to be used in the air changed nothing barrel roll will still be used as a tactic to annoy anyone unlucky enough to be tall. They made hatz better on land which means its better as a petty dino.
I'm in Allo main I personally believe their turning radius was not an issue it was the amount of bleed. One Kentro can get me 60% easy... So when I see two I know I'm dead.
The turning and 3x bleed were the main problems, but I feel like the devs over nerfed kentro’s turning. Just nerf the turning by a small margin, then take away traction on kentro. As for the hp nerfs, those were way too harsh. The devs tried to say “Kentro is supposed to be a defensive character,” but now Kentro can’t even manage that. As a Kentro, I get outrun by allos and dasps, I have no way of surviving the hits, and I have no way of escaping by out maneuvering them…
I’ve noticed that happening on other characters too! The hitboxes are not right. I keep taking full body damage while being bit/clawed on the tip of the tail.
I'm really happy they fixed the ano getting knocked back while hunkered because it was absolutely pain in the ass because I never really played ano but I decided to because I wanted to see the new skin I bought and I got absolutely destroyed by a amarg and a spino in less than a minute and also got easily killed by a hatz
Im very happy with the kentro nerf , I don’t see anymore annoying kents, and hatz being unable to peck while flying is also amazing. Aside from ape packs the game has significantly gotten much more enjoyable
Ganna miss stomp sliding, but atleast you can use stomp while walking. 1 thing to note, it seems like its alot easier to get stuck in other dinos now, idk if its just me but collision is really bad rn. (Also fix lambeo hitbox, i get body damage on tip of the tail hits like what??) Last thing, Kentro and cera deserved those nerfs, even tho kentro got it a bit too rought, i hate kentro so im fine with it. Getting damage and 3 mins of bleed for hitting someone is wild to me.
The collision i think is the same, just that the low tick rates of most servers just made it very common for you to just slide/phase through people alot before the update. Now that servers are running smoother, there is less wiggle room for that kind of thing happening and getting stuck on people is way more common, the playable i get stuck on the most is sucho, drives me crazy. Though i do agree the collision is just not great. I agree with you on cera, kentro i would have liked them to atleast leave it's health alone xD

Same 4 me. The tails cooldown takes so long. The knockback is good but 20 damage???? The rodeokicks deals 100 damage but u have to slow down extremely to use it and uses stam. Thats why i change sub species to 10 percent better stam regen. Its better then just 3 percent heal.
I mean, there is still technically air combat for hatz but i know what you mean also, the ruler of the sky is probably thalassodromeus now, still dont forget that hatz barrel roll still hurts
Ye but I only use Peck to gain stam after barrel rolling other hatzes. I recommend using flail if you want to hover apexes and to fight in aerial fights.

I would say try reverting just the health and health regen back to what it was before and see how that goes as a test, i think players would be able to get used to it's movement with being defensive so long as they had the health to do so
The armored tail nerf was over egregious. Feeding into tail riding more than ever, it was already the meta but they effectively made every dinosaur in the game a "pack animal" and solo play is harder than ever right now🤷. Most dinosaur turning is too slow and stomp attack animations are so slow they just run away and right back to your ankles before you recover from the animation. The armored tail prevented this from happening over and over again as you could try to switch walking speeds and turn to get them off pace and create an opening. Now .... forget about it. Either you group up with randoms to keep people off of your butt or you're pretty much dead. Armored tail gave you a chance and now it barely does much tbh🤷 unfortunate this last patch was, especially at a time when the rumble about POT was getting louder online.

Yet they nerfed it tremendously and I ran around yesterday solo killing much of the largest dinosaurs because there is nothing they can do🤷 literally had some jump of a cliff rather than watch me bite them for the next ten minutes and there was nothing they could do about it. It was a heavy topic in chat and I'm not the only one that said it was currently a terrible change.
There were alot of situations of armored tail being the only thing being used for alot of the playables that had access to them for quite obvious reasons, cera was the biggest problem with it as far as i saw. I would literally solo eos by hugging their side and biting their butts, they would only be able to hit my tail which had hunkered ano levels of resistance xD I think it needed to be changed but sadly they did nothing to improve other options for the playables that used armored tail
Oh cry more with the Kent nerf it was well needed especially for your typical kos groups lol oh well upset you can't use the most overpowered Dino in the game anymore 😂 Kent was so op it could go toe to toe with legit anything without proper worry cause of how easy with a bit of practice it is to focus tail hits with the turning and overall dps

All you have to do is be grounded as Hatz. Hatz peck drag is STUPIDLY over-dragged and the damage and PM turning on Hatz would keep you save.

They made hatz better on land which means its better as a petty dino.
Because of the cerato changes I'm really hoping the Eotrike TLC mod makes it far more tolerable as a playable.

Its hard to say honestly, if you want to use a grab build on hatz, i would say yes though it's situational

I'm in Allo main I personally believe their turning radius was not an issue it was the amount of bleed. One Kentro can get me 60% easy... So when I see two I know I'm dead.
The turning and 3x bleed were the main problems, but I feel like the devs over nerfed kentro’s turning.
Just nerf the turning by a small margin, then take away traction on kentro.
As for the hp nerfs, those were way too harsh. The devs tried to say “Kentro is supposed to be a defensive character,” but now Kentro can’t even manage that.
As a Kentro, I get outrun by allos and dasps, I have no way of surviving the hits, and I have no way of escaping by out maneuvering them…
Also lamb hit box is broken you take body shot damage and get bone broke by just getting hit in the tip of the tail
I’ve noticed that happening on other characters too! The hitboxes are not right. I keep taking full body damage while being bit/clawed on the tip of the tail.
New engine things, i'm sure it'll get fixed :)

I'm really happy they fixed the ano getting knocked back while hunkered because it was absolutely pain in the ass because I never really played ano but I decided to because I wanted to see the new skin I bought and I got absolutely destroyed by a amarg and a spino in less than a minute and also got easily killed by a hatz
Yep, there is also the case that aoe does not work against things that are flying, so thankfully hatz cant just float above ano pecking it infinitely

Im very happy with the kentro nerf , I don’t see anymore annoying kents, and hatz being unable to peck while flying is also amazing. Aside from ape packs the game has significantly gotten much more enjoyable
Ganna miss stomp sliding, but atleast you can use stomp while walking. 1 thing to note, it seems like its alot easier to get stuck in other dinos now, idk if its just me but collision is really bad rn. (Also fix lambeo hitbox, i get body damage on tip of the tail hits like what??) Last thing, Kentro and cera deserved those nerfs, even tho kentro got it a bit too rought, i hate kentro so im fine with it. Getting damage and 3 mins of bleed for hitting someone is wild to me.
The collision i think is the same, just that the low tick rates of most servers just made it very common for you to just slide/phase through people alot before the update.
Now that servers are running smoother, there is less wiggle room for that kind of thing happening and getting stuck on people is way more common, the playable i get stuck on the most is sucho, drives me crazy.
Though i do agree the collision is just not great.

The "cactus" would get 1 shoted by half the roster. Im talking game balance, also... stego got nothing and it has way bigger spikes at the tail tip.

I’m a lamb main and honestly because of this update they kinda ruined it for me, the only way ima be happy with lamb again if the change the tail attack cooldown back to its original and get rid of the nb to the tail, I miss old lamb :(

Same 4 me. The tails cooldown takes so long. The knockback is good but 20 damage???? The rodeokicks deals 100 damage but u have to slow down extremely to use it and uses stam. Thats why i change sub species to 10 percent better stam regen. Its better then just 3 percent heal.

Ye but I only use Peck to gain stam after barrel rolling other hatzes. I recommend using flail if you want to hover apexes and to fight in aerial fights.

Why I immediately went into commands for my server and reversed kent's silly nerfs as much as I could. Cuz feck all that.
I would say try reverting just the health and health regen back to what it was before and see how that goes as a test, i think players would be able to get used to it's movement with being defensive so long as they had the health to do so

The armored tail nerf was over egregious. Feeding into tail riding more than ever, it was already the meta but they effectively made every dinosaur in the game a "pack animal" and solo play is harder than ever right now🤷. Most dinosaur turning is too slow and stomp attack animations are so slow they just run away and right back to your ankles before you recover from the animation. The armored tail prevented this from happening over and over again as you could try to switch walking speeds and turn to get them off pace and create an opening. Now .... forget about it. Either you group up with randoms to keep people off of your butt or you're pretty much dead. Armored tail gave you a chance and now it barely does much tbh🤷 unfortunate this last patch was, especially at a time when the rumble about POT was getting louder online.

@@peculiarpig It was in the game to prevent large dinosaurs from being solo killed by the likes of a laven. Yet they nerfed it tremendously and I ran around yesterday solo killing much of the largest dinosaurs because there is nothing they can do🤷 literally had some jump of a cliff rather than watch me bite them for the next ten minutes and there was nothing they could do about it. It was a heavy topic in chat and I'm not the only one that said it was currently a terrible change.
There were alot of situations of armored tail being the only thing being used for alot of the playables that had access to them for quite obvious reasons, cera was the biggest problem with it as far as i saw.
I would literally solo eos by hugging their side and biting their butts, they would only be able to hit my tail which had hunkered ano levels of resistance xD
I think it needed to be changed but sadly they did nothing to improve other options for the playables that used armored tail

Oh cry more with the Kent nerf it was well needed especially for your typical kos groups lol oh well upset you can't use the most overpowered Dino in the game anymore 😂 Kent was so op it could go toe to toe with legit anything without proper worry cause of how easy with a bit of practice it is to focus tail hits with the turning and overall dps
