How do you get it to idle like that? I see them do it from time to time, but from what I understand, when they come to a stop they shut off since they have no transmission or starter so they then have to be pushed. I know they don't have a transmission or a starter lol I just don't understand how you could get it to sit still and idle like this without it dying. Unless the guy in the car is holding the brake really tight and the gas really light lol
@@acearcher88 Thanks for the response man! But what do you mean by pull it out of gear? Is there still a gear shift in the car to put it in "neutral" then? Cuz like I've seen guys idle them on track during red flags and stuff some times too. Even if you don't answer this thanks for shedding some light on it for me man! :)
Jeremy Subasic yes. When they are pushed. The driver engages the gear. Disengage when slowed down. They actually drift / roll back into their pit spot.
The worst is when the car is crazy ripe, the wing is on and you smash your head on the corner of the wing while you’re trying to get away from it burning your eyes, nose and throat. A ripe winged sprint car is painful to work on while it’s running!
Racing a micro sprint currently, I can only hope to one day wheel around one of these beasts.

They are direct drive, you just pull it out of gear.
