There are better video's than this. Them wheels will fall off the first bump you hit. He stored all the timber for the fire in the bottom. So the fire is going to be where the chimney is I assume. Where does the pizza go?? On top of the fire?
To make your video complete...wouldn't it have made sense to show a pizza cooking in the oven and seeing the cooked pizza? As previously noted, it's not obvious WHERE AND HOW the pizza would be cooked. I originally assumed the fire would be in the bottom, and the pizza in the top! I'm actually very confused by the outcome.
This is how wood-fired pizzas are cooked - you heat up the stone and brush the fire aside, but keep it burning. Turn the pizza every minute or so until it's ready. The bottom and the top should be ready at the same time. My issue here is the stone surface appropriate for a pizza? I would have put in a quality cordierite stone in there.
Even as steel mesh reinforced, I do not believe the concrete base will hold up under that weight. The casters, unless you have a perfectly flat patio, will end up transmitting tremendous cracking forces to the base and I see a scenario where the entire oven, when moved, could dangerously start breaking, fall over and smash into pieces. I think you are better off not using the casters and leaving the pizza oven in one place.
@@dmxumrrk332 ... I thought it looked like, there was clay added to the mortar which is the recommended additive for brick oven mortar. If it was straight portlan cement mortar, you would be right

There is a mistake in your design bro . There should be a chamber underneath the stove so you burn the woods and make an 18mm iron panel as a ground with slits on corner for the heat . But i liked the idea of wheels
magnifico humbre! Great job. I am looking to start making portable units such as this but a little smaller that can sit in the kitchen, using ventelation.
I am so so so .... Not stupid, but I wish I could be more organized have a van etc etc.. I let go several times some old shabby material but it would have been useful to build things. For exemple the top of the oven made with an old metallic sink.... People have so many things to teach to one another.... Some leaders just go live in the past and block life of the world in civilized nations. But anyway those things are nice. Thanks. I would like those to live here. I am from France. I have the idea that those people used to live not in Europe. I think. I would be happy to live in neighborhoods with people like that
Thanks for the video, I got some good ideas from it. However, I don’t like the casters, u should find a permanent place and put it there. Plus, too much extra work for the wood storage! Plus, Not enough room for a large pie!!!
The concept is very attractive. I would have beefed up the casters to account for the weight and I think I would have increased the height of the top portion by another two rows of bricks creating a higher arch. As someone else pointed out, the chimney should be further forward for optimum heat swirl. Like I said though the concept is basically sound in that it can at least be moved on those casters. Good job!
those casters wont survive the first attempt to move that thing. bruh used tiny 1/8" screws to keep em in place and just pressed them against the concrete. theyre gonna snap off. hell, you can see that the front right caster is almost sideways already during the video.
The cement won't even trap heat that well, they needed to use fire bricks or some kind of temp resistant material, the cement will start cracking after a few uses
Amazing skills demonstrated by this man, he is good. My only concern are the casters that don't seem to be strong enough to move this beautiful oven all over the patio, if needed. I wonder if this project can be built with adobe which it is not toxic at all, and more affordable. Other than that, this is a piece of art. Greetings from Toronto..
My brother wants a pizza oven by the pond but this is silly, I've been cooking pizza on my BBQ for years (and Today actually). Just keep it low and mind it doesn't burn. I'm sure that advice applies here also, but you have less control over the heat...Seems like a massive waste of time, materials and space...
Fireclay i would think. The bricks should be fire-bricks too and the mortar fire-capable or the heat up there in the firebox would be breaking the top "soon".
If the nail on the wheel is small, it won't last long. It looks like it may need reinforcement to be preserved and stored for a long time. Brick masonry skills are great, and they are so dexterous. I'm also in the construction field, but I'm rooting for the publisher in the video

I loved this video and subscribed. The idea you had of putting it on casters is BRILLIANT!
