In Russia, the temperature in winter can drop to -30 degrees Celsius, and in some regions up to -50. At the same time, winter lasts at least 3 months.

I'm glad you're gonna make a regular battery test of the phone because last year's 5 pro was coming out on top in other reviewers's tests with 5100mah, even beating iPhone

Love the new cold battery test, but a video test I would love to see more than anything is how long a smartphone can last for under 1m of water (or phones IP rating). Then push past the IP ratings to see the max submersion at that depth and would also be cool to see how long they last at deeper depth. I understand it will ruin a lot of phones and will be expensive. But there’s only a few water test on UA-cam with barely any extensive tests… we can normally trust the IP ratings, but seeing how much they can push past that would be really interesting imo and I think a lot of people would love to see extreme IP water tests too.

I have this phone and I can say that both battery life and build quality are top notch.
Hmmm. My region got some similar temperatures for a moment, around -20C and my iPhone 15 plus performed same as every normal day with positive temps. I was working outside the whole day in forest.
Excited with the big battery. Pls do a real life battery test, on mobile data, multi task. I wanna jump ship from Magic 4 Pro terrible battery 😅

I'm still running my huwawi p40 pro. Battery still lasts a day under heavy use. I'm glad we can still buy a huwawi (honor) phone with play store. Great phones but maybe a little more fragile then other phones. Maybe it's the curved glass. Looking forward to global release on the 25th. Will buy honor magic 6 pro

@PhoneBuff while honors battery does perform really well in this test, I am more concerned about the cycle life. Is it much worse than currently used phone batteries? Could you please provide some information about this aspect of this particular battery honor has developed? Thanks for the interesting test and technical background infos.

Frankly, as a person who lives in an area where the temperature sometimes exceeds 50°c I do not care if he can withstand the cold, but it may be important for people who work or live in freezing places.

My phone hit 52°C watching a Twitch stream when I left it under a pillow for an hour or 2. Tbf the ambient was already pretty high as it was a pretty hot night at around 20-25°C ambient.
I'm really curious how the OnePlus 12 would stack up next to this phone and other Flagships

This is twice as much battery life as my Pixel 6pro while on normal temps
You could have charged the phone again after the experiment to see how it performs

But iPhone Also can perform well in -20+ . I personally have an IPhone 13 mini with 86 battery health and l live in Russia. For past weeks we It was -20 - -27 degrees and my phone never switched of but of course l have never used it more then 10 minutes on this cold. But the fact that old iPhone can perform well at that cold is amazing

-20 °C is pretty much a normal winter weather here in Finland, thus this video was funny AF.
The phone heated itself during heavy load, lasting way longer than if you let the phone stay there over half to an hour and run the tests.
I wish honor had 4 years of os updates or more
They dont even have 4 years? They need to match not 4 but 7 years now to compete with Google or Samsung.
