EXCELLENT job with the 6-pin waterproof connector. SOOOO much yes there. Can't tell you how many times I've pulled a door panel and had to balance it in my hands while I'm jerking around trying to unscrew speaker wires from a crossover.
Glad you guys have finally started this series! Looking forward to hearing some of these setups even if it just thru a camera mic and compressed via UA-cam. I am putting Audiofrog GB60 & GB15 In My Q40 ( new G37 ). Yes to get to the other door skin one has to take out the window, the actuator, and full assembly lol.. tons of work for sound deadening. Hope Fernando is happy!!! What DSP are you running first?
Paul most take good care of you guys, cause how are u able to keep ur sports car with a family 😁 I remember having to get rid of both my race car & my 75 carpric convertable when my second son was born, nice
Had to get the jdm kit directly from Japan for my son's 03 G35. Came with the TV monitor and was @ $250. The Kenwood double din looks great in it though
My preference would be to put the crossover under the dash. As for mounting it to the door panel, lets hope someone doesn't get overzealous and yank the door panel off without looking.
How the hell did you stuff all that roadkill in the door Fernando? I just spent 2 days on 4 doors of my Grand Cherokee and it's got big openings. Bought it because you guys recommended it 😎you guys are the bomb!
Burying passive crossovers in the door is kind of a waste of a DSP. Good idea to use that weatherpack connector in the door though. I sometimes use the 2 pin version for door speakers
If this is a system for testing DSP's isn't it a mistake to hide your crossovers in your doors? Don't plan on running the system active? I would think you would want them at the back where you can get to the wires easily.
Up To Bat Entertainment i would definitely still install them so you can test other stuff besides dsps, but I just thought you would want them in the back so you could change how you wire it all from the trunk quickly and easily.
Hey guys i just added a 4 channel amp and i have like static coming out of the speakers. Even when the volume is all the way down its still there. Anything i could do to eliminate this noise. Its driving me crazy.
Alec Kennedy your door panels and setup is different. Crutchfield should have good info if you are seeking info on how to install or what to install where in your G37! I am going with Audiofrog GB60 & GB15 run active off Jl Audio twk 88.. figuring out Sub stage now! These cars have a metal wall that separates the trunk from cabin with a ski pass thru only. Something to think about as far as bass output. Have fun with your G and audio!
Alec Kennedy nice man there is a few ways to approach what you want. I would definitely access the signal before the bose amp, that way it’s clean low level signal and you can feed any amp With that! There is a lot better out there than the bose for not much $ especially when you add dsp and go active. Have fun with your new system bro!

Wish you showed more videos of how you take the door panels off and wire in the components. This video was excellent!
Awesome install for the speaker x-over, you guys are really challenging everyone to step their install game up...next level installs!!!👌🏼

Love the new segment. I think Test n Tune would be a cool name for it
Nice title to the show. Looking forward to the videos in this series.

Do you guys have any videos on Nissans factory systems? Particularly a pathfinder or maxima?
Burying passive crossovers in the door is kind of a waste of a DSP. Good idea to use that weatherpack connector in the door though. I sometimes use the 2 pin version for door speakers

Keith Anderson yeah when he said testing dsp then installed passive crossovers I got confused as well.

Good stuff!

I have a g37 sedan with the bose system. Can't wait to see the second part to this. Are you planning on running a sub?

Up To Bat Entertainment I'm going to keep the bose. Maybe sound deaden some. But I'm wanting to add an amp and sub to the system.
