😂 They are still pretty wild! I don’t know if you’re going to get that response from them. The older one that is by the lodge loves pets and snacks. You can get your reindeer snuggles from him! 😊
Hi, Sara! I absolutely loved your video. I and my 9 y.o. daughter are planning to visit Rovaniemi around Christmas/New Year’s time. I was thinking to stay in Santa Claus Village, but the prices are insane for the holidays 🙈 my question is, if we stay in the city center of Rovaniemi, is it easy to get to the Santa Claus Village and can we stay there until late in the evening? Is Uber working there or any other taxi services because I am not planning on renting a car. Thank you a lot in advance 🙏
Hi! I’m glad you found my video helpful. It is very expensive to stay in Santa Claus Village. I don’t blame you for looking else where! The city center is about a 15-20 minute car ride from Santa Claus Village. It is an easy commute via a share ride or taxi. We used Uber frequently in Rovaniemi. There are also a lot of taxis at Santa Claus Village that you can grab when you are ready to leave. I prefer Uber, because you can see the fare upfront. There really isn’t a need to rent a car. Most of the activities in Santa Claus Village close in the evening, so you could definitely stay until closing. Please see the following website for more information on times: santaclausvillage.info/info-and-tips/opening-hours-and-dates/?type=activities&lang=en I hope you and your daughter have a wonderful vacation. I’m sure you both will love it and find it to be magical!
I understand. I am glad you found the video helpful. Vendors are constantly changing their prices. Once that happens, the information is obsolete and potentially misleading. That’s why I try to avoid providing pricing as much as possible. The links to all of the tours and vendors are in the video descriptions, so you can do your own research and determine what is best for your group. I hope you enjoy your vacation! Thank you for watching!
Hi, Sara. Thank you for the video. My trip will start in Jan 2025. Question: Do you consider save to drive in Rovaniemi to Levi? Also, how long it takes to be around the Village? Thank you.
Hi, I think it is probably safe depending on how much experience you have driving in the snow. We did not rent a car during our visit. How much time you spend in Santa’s Village just depends on your interests. There were long lines to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. There are a variety of other activities as well (reindeer ride, sleigh ride, petting zoo, Snowman World, etc.). If you are just going to walk around, grab a meal, and visit the shops, Arctic Circle and Post Office, maybe 2-3 hours. Thank you for watching, and I hope you have a wonderful trip!
It is safe to drive on my opinion, depens on the weather. If we get 30cm snow just before you drive it will be hard and slippery and the road may seem narrow due to all the snow on the side of the road. And be prepared when a truck comes to the other way u will not see anything for couple of seconds😂 but if its a beautiful day with sunshine its a pretty road to drive but make sure to bring your sunglasses, the snow is hella bright. Usually the rental cars have good wintertires. I'm a finn and worked in rovaniemi for one winter
@@anandhiramasubramanian3989 Once you get out of the Helsinki area, they stop making announcements. I don't remember any announcements after we left Rovaniemi to head to Helsinki. The train stopping was enough to wake me up, because it does cause you to move around. In addition, if you have electronics plugged in, the power goes off while the train is stopped and turns back on when it starts moving again. This may cause electronics to make noises or to light up, which may also wake you up. I was able to get some rest, just not as sound of a sleep as I would have liked. However, the excitement of the adventure and the rush of the adrenaline allowed me to continue to enjoy the next day in Rovaniemi.
Oh my, beautiful and super informative video!! You have convince me 😂😂😂I will follow your steps. Thanks a lot. ❤
Yay!! That is my goal, to help people get out and travel to new locations. I hope you enjoy your trip! I am glad you found the video helpful. 😊
Another informative video! Thanks 🙏
Thank you for your kind words and feedback!
Very good video 👌👌👌
Thank you so much! I appreciate your feedback.
What if your reindeer nuzzles into you demanding attention!? How are you supposed to ignore that, eh? 🤣😆

Im flying from cali, which airport is closest rovanviemi or hellskin? Thanks
If you are trying to go directly to Rovaniemi and not spend time in Helsinki, I would fly into the Rovaniemi airport.

I always thought Rovaniemi was pronounced differently. 😮
Yea, me too. Creating videos always opens learning opportunities for me!
Im a light sleeper. Is it very disturbing with stop announcements in the night train santa claus express?
They didn’t make a lot of announcements throughout the night, but the stopping did wake me up. I am a light sleeper too.
@@sarasscubaandtravelchannel thank you for your response. Is there no option to turn off or reduce the volume of the stop announcement? Lol
