- The 2024 NFL Draft has officially come and gone and the Dallas Cowboys have a brand new class for us to discuss and assess. What did you make of how the Cowboys fared throughout the weekend? Who was your favorite pick? Which one did you not like so much? Most importantly, what grade would you give it all? RJ Ochoa discusses all of that and more.

The RB situation reminds me of when they let DeMarco Murray walk , signed McFadden for cheap and everyone expected them to draft an RB in a deep 2015 draft class and defiantly did not. The next yr they overcompensated by reaching for Zeke over Jalen Ramsey. My fears are history will continue to repeat itself.
Excellent point. Hopefully they hv learned and at least go heavy in the udfa and/or veteran rb gets cut or camp cuts
History has been repeating itself the past 30 yrs😢
Idk if they reached bc they dominated for a good bit due to how great zeke and dak were. I would’ve much rather have has Ramsey tho I remember being so upset we passed on him
Jerry Jones is losing whatever sense he had
I hate the stupid BS the pull knowing we Need a RB. Our RB room is horrible 🤦🏾♂️
I trust the cowboys when it comes to drafting offensive linemen. History shows that McClay knows what he is doing with the draft.
I give it a solid B+ also, like you said they have filled many needs with players who can play multiple positions so the position flex will pay dividends eventually.
That is fair.
CAN'T SAY BECAUSE i DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM, BUT I WILL SAY THEY GOT BIGGER ON O/L BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE TAKE MICHIGAN RUNNING BACK IN ROUND 3
C, Dak will be throwing 60x a game.
I'd give it a B. I was REALLY hoping to get Braelon Allen at RB. He's super athletic, built like a tank, and hes not even 21 yet. He would of been an amazing player to pick up
Adding a running back would have definitely been nice
Completely agree
Our run game on offense and defense was the issue last year because of the o line and d line, not the running backs. They drafter o line and LB and DT plus picked up Kendricks with Clark and Overshowne comin back. D Law contract is up so the DE is his replacement without having to be the main guy first year. People need to remember that if they could do what the front office of football teams do, they'd be working for them and not commenting on youtube 🤷 we haven't even got to pre season activity yet and some of yall are already giving up. Man the hell up and be proud to represent that Star🫡🙏
Excellent points except the whole you’d be working for them schtick. Lol.
1. Nearly impossible regardless of your acumen.
2. Most GMs miss all the time, which is why they’re always being fired.
I hope a RB shakes loose after the draft. A lot of teams have full RB rooms. I hope, I hope.
Jerry even mentioned a trade for an rb as a possibility.
I want them to at least go out and sign like a latavious murray or other veteran that can take some of the load off Dowdle
Me too
Thanks for the great vid RJ
Thanks for watching!
They get a solid B. Would have went Trey benson RB instead of kneeland in the 2nd.
He went a couple picks before
I would of loved to get Jaylen Wright or Braelon Allen in the 3rd. Wright has crazy speed and a over all great athlete. Allen is a absolute TANK! Dudes super athletic, great at yards after contact, and the biggest thing is that he just tured 20. That would of been a kid that we could have developed into a RB1
@@bren3682 Trey went at 66 cowboys got kneelend at 56
If kneeland turns out good we can flex Micah more and we’ll have another rusher when d law retires.
That's fair. But pass rusher is a far more premium position than RB so I don't blame them for that. I would have probably taken Lloyd or Wright at #87 over the LB if anything.
I think the adding a guyton and the center will help establish a decent run game. If we get zeke I think he can rush for 1,000yrd. Balanced offense means more rest for defense. I think mazi adding weight and the addition of the LB we stole will help the defense.
Zeke is done…let’s not repeat mistakes.
Zeke ain't running for 1,000 yards. He'll be lucky to get 600-700. Love what Zeke used to be, but bro is washed. And has been for 3 years.
@@jaybeezy6062 the line in Dallas past few years was trash and so was the pats. Zeke started to decline when his center retired, and we got cheap with Collin’s.
@KrisBurns22 i guess we'll see. I would love to be wrong. I'm a Cowboys fan and I love Zeke. But I see what I see. His explosion is not there.
I am not a cowboys fan I love to see RJ honest take. When I first joined it was to get some salty tears 😭 from a cowboys fan when they lost in the playoffs 3 years ago after being #1 seed. Instead I found a channel that was critical of the cowboys and I did not get to enjoy the loss but ended up finding a good channel good luck to themcowboyz
Thanks, amigo!
🤜 Thx RJ-Ochoa 🤜
Idk who was on the board when we picked to honest grade this fairly...
But
I'm willing to give it a B+...for now anyway
Appreciate you, my dude!
New subscriber. Looking forward to the content.
Welcome aboard, David!
Great job bud just found ur page and i subbed
Welcome and thank you!
Great analysis.
Appreciate it!
I'm more excited about this draft than any in a long time.
Fair
For those who didn't hear it, Zimmer spoked with Marist on the secret audio saying he was sold when he knew everything everyone was doing on defense. Im sure feared he wouldnt make it to the end of the 5th.
No running back? They desperately need one. Rico Dowdle is not the answer going into the season, and an aged Zeke doesn't move the needle if they pick him up. What are they really going to do at this position? I like that they addressed the offensive line and got some players on defense, but man, running back was the position they had to address and they did nothing. I give the Cowboys a C- grade for this.
The team with the #1 running back in the entire league lost the Super Bowl.
@pedrorodrigueziii4859 True....but they lost against Mahomes and Kelce. The Boys don't have a miracle QB nor a dominant TE who literally can take over a game. Lamb is becoming a force, but I have no faith in Dak in big games. This offense has no identity. The defense can be good, though.
That's a harsh grade for just not taking a running back, but I get the frustration/point.
@@sbnbloggingtheboys I am a firm believer in stocking up on players in the trenches, but you can't tell me a lineup of Rico, Zeke???, Royce, Malik and Deuce excite you. They need more of a punch at that position and they had the opportunity to grab a decent running back. There must be another move in the near future.....I hope.
@@pedrorodrigueziii4859 he also carried his team to the Super Bowl. Dak has a horrible record in games where he doesn’t have a 100 yards RB in the same game.
C- grade. Tyler Guyton is a raw prospect and you're gonna stick on the blindside during a contract year for your franchise QB? No way. He's gonna switch from right to left and have to do it at a near pro-bowl level from day 1. Then they got a guard that they'll switch to center in Beebe who's arms are too short. Good luck with the run game on that. Finally, they got NO RUNNING BACK. Not a single one to address one of our top 3 needs in the offseason (free agency and draft). Rico Dowdle is not an RB2 in the league let alone RB1. Malik Davis wouldn't make the roster on like 12-15 teams in the league. Deuce Vaughn is not making 25 other teams rosters.
Guyton isn't going to start bro. Tyler s moving to lt ND bass will be at LG. Bebe and Hoffman will compete for C Martin and steele in their respective places. This would have been a different story if bebe wasn't selected. Guyton woukd have been forced to start. Cause bass a s Hoffman would have been the centers . Guyton is going to be sitting unless there are Injuries. Tj bass a d Hoffman aren't bad BTW. Pollard was getting a bu ch of yards while they were in. When that useless edoga and tyler biadisz was struggling, thr running game suffered. Dak will be OK as long as people stay healthy. Cowboys needs a RB tho lol
@marlonestrella5054 actually I'm afraid the front office plans on starting guyton. Unfortunately the guy is going to get thrown in the mix to early and they will see what happens. At this point I don't think they believe they are going to get far in the playoffs if at all and they will just throw rookies out for development.
No automatic day 1 starters!!! Should have drafted Barton. Traded down in the 2nd for a 4th and still got the rest of the players. Bro saying B+ is completely crazy!
@@ronaldlove1913 bebe is a starter bro and so is Kneeland. Sam Williams is on the outs
@@marlonestrella5054your taking Guyton number one not to start him? Are you kidding me? If you’re not going to start him then you should have drafted a day one starter at center like the kid from Duke. Let’s draft at project first our number one e draft pick? Come on that’s stupid. Come hell or high water he better start or he’s another stupid pick like good old Mazi Smith. Another blown pick. We need help at line backer and this guy isn’t the answer. Unless you’re a QB your first draft pick in the first round should start. If not then you need to stop reaching for these project guys. The eagles draft made us look like a bunch of retards. I hate to say it but they have a great front office that clearly knows what they are doing. Yeah let’s bring zeke back lol. He’s the answer. Come on. Another retread. Just stop it.
I believe we have many guys ready to come in on both sides of the ball and contribute the last two drafts have been very good. Our RB room is ok but I think we will be looking at guys getting cut and fill what we need also the guys that didn't get drafted. Plus Trey Lance is in this draft I got us A- B+
I wouldn't count Trey as a part of the class, but that's just me
Zeke is better than anyone you could pick.
Trey Lance would be a better starting HB than Zeke at this point
Zeke is washed.
That's false unless we're drafting Duece again.
Not sure I agree with this!
Zeke is big slow and old….how does that help? Nostalgia doesn’t gain us any yards.
TRENCHES!! You win in the trenches and it was long overdue!
B+ feels about right. This draft looks like we are preparing to not have Dak next year. Setting up for a team in the future
I'm still not willing to agree that they are preparing to move on from Dak
B- I’d say B+ if they grabbed a rb
The only thing the jones are interested in is selling tickets and selling jerseys. Going .500 is fine with them. Cowboys fan here, since the 6th grade, in 72'. Tom Landry ended up being a Giants fan once the jones fired him. I believe I'll be pulling for the Giants now, just like Landry did. BTW, the cowgirls should have lots of compensatory picks next year by letting all their starters walk in free agency. Wish they'd have gone to the Giants instead of the skins though. I'll keep up with the girls since that's what I've done my entire life, just won't be pulling for them anymore. They are the joke of the nfl since the late 90's. All because jones is the smartest man in the room. lol.
I am so glad that Dallas Cowboys addressed the oline first without a oline. What is the point of getting a running back if you don't have an online first
i'm not worried about the RB situation at all. i have a feeling rico is gonna be the bell cow.
On any normal year, if you have 2 drafted players crack the starting lineup and play well in year 1, you have done well. The problem here is that the cowboys are now depending on several more of these rookies to make a larger impact than is realistic. Hopefully free agency will still be addressed.
All of that is fair
I'm going with a B/B+. The long stretch of nothing between Round 3 and the end of Round 5 was discouraging. It seemed like there were several spots we might have gotten a very valuable player for a reasonable investment, particularly since the Eagles were dancing all over the place. I'm not a fan at all of the LB pick. He looks to be a nickel LB and special teamer, pretty much wiping out the extra pick we got in the Guyton trade. Maybe they know something we don't, and he doubles at LS or something, but with what we know right now, it was a reach when we really could have used an RB and DT in the mid rounds.
Had we traded back our second third rounder and picked up a fourth aw man that would’ve been so clutch we could’ve gotten someone like braelon allen
My grade is a C+.
Guyton AND Beebee are great and the deal that brought both of them in was great. Particularly when one considers the other draft picks that they made. In that had they taken the Duke Center, while they would have arguably gotten a better Center than Beebee... and possibly better than the Center who left in Free Agency... they wouldn't have gotten a Tackle that could replace Tyron Smith. Not unless they changed their entire draft strategy and taken Beebee in the second round and moved Tyler Smith to Tackle, which didn't seem to be the strategy the Cowboys wanted to take. Which in all likelihood means that Dallas wouldn't have gone that route and that would have left Dallas WITHOUT a credible LT other than Tyler Smith.
However, while Beebee may start as a credible C or G regardless of development, it should be noted that while Guyton could develop into a great starter... the key word there is "develop." Guyton's ceiling may be higher than Beebee's... but his FLOOR is also lower than Beebee's and it may also take Guyton longer to reach his ceiling than Beebee. That in turn represents a major gamble that may pan out, but that's more due to Dallas's scouts and track record with offensive linemen being good. And while that's good, that doesn't mean they can't make a mistake. And to a too a degree, that lowers the grade a bit.
The Kneeland pick is fine, because Lawrence is entering a contract year, and we know that Dallas won't be able to keep either D. Lawrence or Parsons. Lawrence because he's going to be priced out and Parsons because he doesn't want to be here. Thus, having someone that would be able to be developed into a good pass rusher in the future is a major point of need. And the picks at the bottom of the draft from Carson on should do fine... and to a degree, they're also at spots where the expectations aren't going to be very high. Thus, if they make the team and do well, they're steals, and for them that could retroactively raise their grades.
The major problem is the Liufau pick and not getting a running back. While Liufau could develop into a good NFL linebacker... and some projections had him going in the third round... Others had him going in the fifth round, and the Texas Linebacker, Ford, was a comparable talent, and Ford went shortly after we took Carson. So, even if Liufau was taken by someone else in the third round... we could have gotten a comparable linebacker in the fifth round and still gotten a decent RB in the 3rd round... Either the RB from Wisconsin or Florida State. Both of them were available by our pick in the 3rd round.
And while boing back to Zeke isn't going to be horrible for the coming season... he's not going to be the answer in the long term. Particularly with Dak's contract hanging over the team. Dallas is STILL needing Dak to take a MAJOR step forward to earn the paycheck he's getting... or they need to cut him to move forward in a way that keeps them competitive... Or they need to start having MUCH BETTER drafts. They can't keep Dak and then have drafts like this where they do well on one or two picks and then have two three questionable picks that then are also picks that they're going to HAVE to depend on.
How are the getting tougher with a 7th round draft pick that wasnt on anyones board.
C. They had chance to pick tre Benson
Bebe amd Kneeland is a good pickup. Go eatch their film. Trey benson is good but not when you got a stud linemen who can play all.positions, (play well) and a edge rusher who can compliment draw. This can give parsons rest and he can now come at the middle or at the lb position. The problem with armstrong and fowler, they were too aggressive going in at the edge and rbs was washing thr cowboys when they over pursue. That's how GB running backs destroyed that D. Kneeland is a big dude who has super speed. Ochoa here isn't looking at the big picture. Dallas needs ro upgrade the NT or hope mazi actually improves. Kneeland, bebe 》 benson
I am a cowboys fan, I gave the draft C+, we will see come September, October and November if they live up to the cowboys fans expectations or they just like last year picks specially in Mazi Smith and Schoonmaker
The second year Wolverines need to step up
Zeke coming back would be great they should have never let him go. He’s a team first guy playing through injury twice is proof of that. He could have held himself out similar to Lamar Jackson but he didn’t. He had a solid year last year and if he’s able to do the same for Dallas I’d deam that a successful return.
Great point. I’m a big Zeke fan, like you said, he was a great teammate and consistently plays through injuries.
Hell yea bring back Zeke
Are you high?
@@agentorange3774 you probably think Duce or Freeman are better than Zeke. Your delusional
Yeah we really need his 2 YPC
They redrafted last year's class. This year OT, DE, Gaurd, WR, DT, LB and CB. Last year DT, TE, LB, DE, OT, CB, RB , and WR. The only difference is TE for Guard and no RB. Last years class was so bad they have already drafted their replacements.
We will be gvn up a 2nd round pick by the trade deadline for a dam Rb
The boys will be selling at the deadline, not buying. Wash, Giants and Philly all got much better in the draft. And if Dak gets an extension at $55-$60m we are Fffed for the next 5 years. Can't pay CeeDee $30, Parsons $30 and Dak $60. That's half the cap! Maybe Dak allows a trade mid season or maybe they trade Parsons. Regardless, we will be rebuilding very soon.
@@ronaldlove1913 Trey Lance is going to be the starting quarterback next year
I really wanted Audric Estime out of notre dame he had such a good frame and could catch the ball
Same
Stil lno quality DTs. spent the entire offseason, avoiding the weakest position on the team
RJ your sheer lack of enthusiasm tells me all I need to know about this draft. It was a C at best.
Haha sorry!
I give it a solid c+ , i dont know if the 1st rd pick is ready to start or at least be any good his 1st year because hes so new and raw at tackle, I dont think the 2nd pick will play much at all this year, I love the guard Beebe, but i think we passed on better talent for more picks and positions they find more important to fill, and i believe in drafting less player with more talent over more players with less talent. But the cowboys prove us wrong sometimes so I hope they know something I dont, Go cowboys
Draft and free agency : D
You're being generous. The Joneses shocking psssivity during free agency when the Cowboys' divisional opponents were loading up merits an "F". It is an indictment. The charge? Incompetance in the first degree.
Your wrong about Zeke. His last year here he had 12 Tds and countless 4 and 1 conversations. We missed that toughness last year. Yeah he won't break the big runs but red zone and short yardage he still clutch.
You can basically grade a draft class about two years afterwards.
That's fair
for everyone about the RB situation.
They had a shot at lloyd but blew it.
Take him. And worry about depth at linebacker later.
Some BPA is good and they did a lot of that.
But they couldve passed on that linebacker.
For the need and BPA there.
They were offered a trade back from the linebacker 7 spots, this is confirmed.
For a 4th.
You had a shot at getting that 4th take it. Move back.
Get a DT or gamble on wilson. Take the DT there.
Worry about linebacker in 5-6-7
And get your 4th where you know the big run on backs is gonna happen, just dumb.
You dont even have to trade up for brooks.
I wouldn't
You had a guy.
Or could've still gotten a good one in the 4th. If you move back not up.
Just dumb. That's all.
Now go get possible cuts. Or free agents.
You thought you had it all figured out with making the oline better.
And you did.
But you missed the other part. So now youre kinda back where you started before the draft with RB
You want to build the o line and not pay big money for free agent backs. Great.
But you forgot to get a back.
Unless anyone thinks whats on the roster is enough.
Have at it.
But now you put yourself where you were before the draft looking for cheap backs. Lol
Now, zeke, he could add a little something.
Go offer something for pierce in houston.
Watch mostert he could be a cut.
Etc
I'm tellin y'all to put some faith in the minds and machinations of the front office talent guys: Will McClay and Jimmy Johnson. Jimmy has been advising in his greatest role: He and Will are SHREWED evaluators. Jimmy stockpiled the team with a bunch of hungry, affordable, unknowns that became champs in 2 years. Go watch the films. Thomas Everett, Jame Washington, Kelvin Martin, etc., etc. They also went and got some HBS players too. Jimmy advised Jerry to stand pat with Big Mike and he endorsed Mike Zimmer. The new Mike & Mike Show will be impactful. Running by committee with a recharged Zeke (run, block and catch) & Company grounding and pounding on a refilled tank behind a big O line and Dak back to an MVP race. I'm not worried. They will exceed expectations. I just want everybody healthy. (Seems like) all they are looking for is better than 4.5 yards per carry from the RB position. They can get the kind of production Tony Pollard put out from the field of guys they DO have; instead of giving Tony the kind of money he got and was looking for.
Bringing Zeke back at 1-2 mill makes perfect sense. Keeping him at 16 mill didn’t make sense
Id give this draft a solid B. Mainly because theres a few guys that are gonna start from day 1
Great content. I can't wait for 2025 draft..lol 4 comp picks and are we getting 2 extra picks bc we lost 2 minority coaches, no one seems to know that answer??
Ok man...So you don't want Zeke back eh?...The Boyz never replaced His production ya know!?!...I don't believe anyone expects Him to be the 1000+yards ...5.0/ypc back lol...But He can be what he is...A Vet, A Leader, one of the best pass blocking backs in the NFL. A Power Back, and excellent short yardage back (Redzone n 3rd downs) a fierce competitor...After all He had 955 yards and 5 TDs in NE last season with only 5 starts. He is not by any means washed up!...I wanted Him back in conjunction with a Top 100 drafted Rookie, but Alas!...None the matter, at this moment in time, Zeke would be the best back on this team...and Hey, it's probably only a one year deal anyway!🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
I give it a B could be talked into a B+. The only real concern is no RB, but I do expect Dallas to pick up a RB. I don’t the teams rushing leader is on the team yet.
That is all fair
Like it or not, you need to add Trey Lance as part of this draft class Because he was our fourth round pick
Why? He's a fourth-year player
So are all the podcasts dead now?
Unfortunately we are still trying to figure out a solution on that front. For now we have this operation.
@@sbnbloggingtheboys best of luck seriously im an eagles fan and I have really grown to appreciate all your content on BtB
Roster looks improved right now except our running back room
Tyron Smith left and Guyton is no starter. Dak is going to take a beating on his blind side. Upgrade at C, WR and maybe CB. Luckily, Overshown is coming back. Liufau will be special teams for a year or two. I don't see the boys as improved from last season.
@@ronaldlove1913 guyton will be good Dallas drafts o-line men well their may be some growing pains this year but he will be very good
I see 11-6
10-7
I think Neelen frees up Parsons to not be locked in at DE. He can be off the ball on 1st and 2nd down and have him rush the passer on 3rd down.
Sometimes something happens. C.
C+
Draft was a solid B - Our free agent signing was a solid F -
Haha fair
First problem is everyone in the division had a better draft. Not drafting a RB does not bother me, but did they land any starters? Beebe is the only who will start year 1. The others are projects. The OT really needs to be coached up and the edge was not dominant in the MAC and ran a slow 40 at the combine.
Guyton will definitely start
This draft had Jimmy Johnson written all over it.
That was my thought and I have no issue with it.
I'm going with a bt
Here we are we think bringing back Zeke is a great idea. Zeke is better than Duce, Rico and Freeman.
My grade RJ is c minus I think they will be a lot of backups in this draft
Quality depth is never a bad thing
D+
im ok with zeke and committee. lb is a more value position than rb. especially in a poor rb class. every rb had either ball security issues, poor vision, ran high, after the first couple went off the board it was worth it other than taking a flyer on udfa.. fa wise either too expensive or older and rather have a rb we know that knows the playbook and locker room
ND LB might have been still available in the 5th. That pick should’ve been the RB. C+ grade. Have a fix though. Dameon Pierce is in the Doghouse in Huston. Go get him on the cheap.
Would love a trade for Pierce
Would have liked to have traded back into the fourth round to get a runner not sure why we didn't
Agreed
@@sbnbloggingtheboys I'm thinking Dallas might be trying to trade for a back I would part with a 2 or a 3 for a good young back
I want Zeke back! I believe it is a great idea! Goes with 2024 theme “LEGACY… Dak!” B+ for draft … D for free agency thus far
B- Could have traded down in the third and got a late 4 to get a running back. Stephen admitted that they could have traded down 7 spots from 87.
I would have loved a running back
We beefed up
C - unless the 2nd round pick is an all pro.
Lets be real it started as an A+ failed to get a great starting running back In round two . third round pick was Ok . In round three had a lat chance to get a good running back and lost out on the top 5 running backs and the remainder was far for a D -
The overall grade there is pretty harsh.
They should taken Jaylen Wright with pick 87. He reminds me of Demarco Murray with his speed and one cut and go style. They got 2 starters with Guyton and Beebee which is good. Team still has holes no running back and no number 2 receiver. Cooks is ok but he’s gone next season
they needed RB in the 2nd, and WR at the bottom of the 3rd.
Can you grade it philly’s draft ?
F Philly draft
Philadelphia is gonna stomp this sorry ass team 😅
@@vincesavage3086 stomp a superbowl you only got One FOH
@@vincesavage3086 🤣🤣🤣
@@vincesavage3086ya like they did last year with a better roster right?? Nobody is afraid of a QB that clearly can pass within the pocket, thank god for us they have a QB that can't pass the football locked up for the future.
Jerry Jones could have got Henry as RB for cheap! Now he wants to bring Zeke back who will not be the Zeke of his early days and will likely paying him as much as they could have got Henry for!
I can't believe we did not draft a RB
Same
the one position they did not draft a position they needed was a DAMN center!!
Cooper Beebe is an option there
Let’s be honest, outside making some big moves in the draft. We all knew the draft wouldn’t fix all their issues. They have bungled the offseason as far as win now. We have to assume they are aiming for a mini rebuild this year and are done with Dak, and to me seems like possibly Ceedee and even Parsons. I put nothing past the front office at this point as far as poor decision making. You could’ve let the same guys walk or cut. resigned Dak, and gave Parsons and Ceedee new deals and restructured them all to create a ton of cap space and added some FA LBs, RB, and filled some holes. Then you go into the draft and you rebuild the trenches as they did but maybe don’t reach for some of these guys because you had a better roster with less holes to fill. No matter what, they couldn’t fix all the holes they created through the draft
This is well said
Pretty disappointed honestly, but only time will tell how this draft plays out.
Draft = C
Had an A- up until they drafted that bum LB instead of:
1 trading back
2 picking Payton Wilson
3 picking BPA or HB
C+ to me
How could they afford to Not draft a RB? SMDH
I understand there’s no point in whining but it is infuriating that we could have had Aaron Jones or Derrick Henry for 8 mill a year but because we didn’t have the cap space we didn’t do it. Yet, we’re bringing back Zeke for what I assume will be 6-7 mill a year. You’re telling me the Jones’ couldn’t have been smart and made cap room earlier in order to have the money to sign the aforementioned backs? Wild.
A fair criticism.
Grade C
They should have drafted FLA ST RB😢😢😢😢
The Cowboys passivity during free agency and their mind-numbing failure to attempt to replace the franchise's starting running back says it all: they are rebuilding. The talk of Dallas being "all-in" after the playoff debackle was a convenient fiction to make fans think Jerry finally had a come-to-Jesus moment.
No, no, and no, again. The 2024 Cowboys are not going to be any where near as competitive as the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Dallas teams and even that wasn't good enough to be competitive at the highest level.
It is hard to say they are completely rebuilding. They did not draft as if that is the case.
Zeke is our starter😢 damn it draft grade ddddd
Draft class a B….an F for all of the other moves from the front office made and a -F if they bring Zeke back.
Hey, RJ, you can add me to the list of people who think bringing back Zeke may be worth it.
Haha good to know there are people there!
@@sbnbloggingtheboys I look at it like this. We're paying him $6 mil regardless, although, as you mentioned, we're now paying him twice, though probably the veteran minimum. Use him for his strengths, not as a #1 RB, but for leadership in the locker room, run blocking, short yardage gains, and receiving skills.
Where have you been RJ?
Here!
B- and no RB is ridiculous.
I definitely would have preferred that they drafted a running back.
A-. Some of these guys are steals!
They didn’t draft a RB because they are going to sign Zeke.
It’s weird Mike Zimmer has only 1 year contract but I think this will be lame duck season McCarthy will get fired mid season and zimmer takes over and we get a top 10 pick with Bill Belichick our new HC with Bills choice on d coordinator. Just my opinion
Will McClay talked about people like you grading the draft before these people even put pads on
We are just talking. That's the fun of it all.
I've been at Dallas cowboy fan since 1989 now I'm 50 some years old and I gave this 2024 a draft MF we're supposed to get a running back we never got a running back we're supposed to get a good corner and a good we drafted mostly offense online I know that's where more week at but still you can see what Jerry's doing he talks out of his ass what he's I think he's in this entertainment business than to winning championship business so here's my prediction on the Dallas cowboys and their season opener that I may win they may lose Total they're going to win four games and maybe 14 losses so not going to make the playoffs or when a division so I hope Jerry seizes when I'm putting and I think Jerry really talks out of his ass he doesn't know what to do when it comes to entertainment business then pair to business business so my theory is we should we should have got to run it back and we should have got offense align but he didn't get the running back that we wanted so I wanted the Michigan wolverines running back and he would have been great and we would have been dominant but since now Jerry thinks he knows what he's doing so I give it an f so😢😢
The grade was an A- thanks to the 2 new stud OL.... UNTIL they tried to get cute again and drafted a LB 3 rounds too soon instead of a RB/WR/CB/DT. This is why they are not the SF 49ers. FINAL GRADE? D+ for waking up and feeling kewt. but considering this is Dax final year and he will likely get MM and the rest of the staff fired and we probably win no more than 8 or 9 games this year anyway - who really cares? even tho JJ will never say it, the smart ones know that we are already in rebuild mode for the next 2-4 years now. the only reason they are bringing Zeke back is b/c they want to give Dax a good sendoff with his BFF.
