I never realized how wonky and unbalanced the official stereo release of this song was until I heard your properly balanced mix. Great job. PS. You're making me update a lot of my library!
Yes, so many of the recordings from this era have very strange mixes, sometimes due to lack of tracks to record on. But, by the time "Windy" was recorded the stereo spectrum could be properly filled. I guess, the vocals to one side was just a left over habit from earlier mixing techniques. Thanks for your kind words and I'm sorry about you having to update your library, but that's what makes it fun!
Your work is jaw dropping. Thanks for all of these great remixes. If you knew me you’d understand how much i hate typical remixes. But you keep the original flavor and make it pop!
Thank you! I've been disappointed with the vast majority of remixes also. I do try to respect the original and I'm very glad you enjoy mine! Thanks so much for listening!
One of those awesome pop jewels from the 1960s that seems to reveal something new with every listen. A masterpiece through and through. Thanks for this very interesting remix. R.I.P. Brian Cole, Larry Ramos and now, sadly, Terry Kirkman.
Thank you for listening! I still remember where I was the first time I heard "Windy" back in 1967. It's a song that you can never grow tired of. Sad to hear about Terry Kirkman.
There are several ways to separate vocals from the instrumentation using on-line software. MVSep is a popular one. It's much more complicated to isolate each harmony line to listen to each individually. I use RipX. It's a very long process.
Keep this golden oldies coming,
I'm like a kid today bathing in stunning remixes! I cannot stop smiling!!
😊this music makes me happy and gives me peace and hope ☮️😌✌️🙏😇🌈🌺❤️🌷

The last minute of the original mix is a great wall of sound of harmonies. Don't hear that here.

Trying to learn how to write vocal harmony parts for popular music
