With the separation of the guitars, you can clearly hear that both George and John play the notorious "Gretty chord" (24x355) at 1:21. McCartney: "There's a very jazzy chord . . . we used twice in the Beatles: once to end George's solo in Till There Was You and again when I used it in [Michelle]. It was a chord shown to us by Jim Gretty, who worked behind the counter at Frank Hessey's where we used to buy our instruments on the never-never in Liverpool. So Jim Gretty showed us this one great ham-fisted jazz chord, bloody hell! George and I learned it off him."

Wow - I am floored at how much detail there is in each guitar. I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was just born. (she's now 21!) She came to me one day and said "Did you used to sing this to me?" when she discovered this song on Spotify a few years ago. :) Thanks for the wonderful memory jog.

This song has new life now like it was recorded in 2025 it even sounds great on my cell phone like an expensive stereo! I'm impressed! what do you use to pull apart the mix/instruments?

The early 90s Furmanek remix is still the best mix of the song with a genuine stereo lead vocal. This one is derivative of the Giles Martin mix with the fake stereo ADT guitar which does belong in a song from 1965. Evidently Giles did not use the pre-bounce 4-track so he had to cheat with ADT.

Nice mix.. could you possibly do a mix of this song with the combined mono and stereo backwards guitar bits in stereo. There is a mono "French EP" version which would sound amazing in stereo. Keep up the amazing work.
