I'm from South Jersey, now living in Southern California. Love these videos and your enthusiasm and care for these treasures. Thank you for continuing to date each video-very helpful. Our challenges are similar in household management and while you are seeking to meet financial goals, I am seeking to overcome medical challenges. We are strong, well-able, and a child of the most high God. Take care.
Our Goodwills here in my area in Michigan were half off everything, they do that every so many months, we also have Friday coupons, and a rewards program. You should check and see if your area has any of those deals.and every week there is a color that is half off all week.
I love those porcelain roses! I'll definitely be looking out for those! Been watching since my freshman year of college and now I'm graduating haha, felt like I grew up with you guys.
Today my mother's bestfriend gifted me with two vintage 1950's chenille bedspreads that belonged to her mother. It was such a wonderful gift & appreciated. She & my mom work in a community thrift store & she heard me ask my mom to keep an eye out for chenille bedspreads.
Great finds! I like the pheasants! And the print! Most younger gals don’t appreciate tchotchkes and such. Heck, when I was married I received China, crystal and silver. Now women don’t even own China Cabinets to go in dining rooms they don’t have or want. And I’ll bet many don’t even know what Henkel Harris is. Thrifty, practical and clutter free is in right now. Everything I’m not, but wish I was. I think there’s a happy medium somewhere. I’m still looking for it. Good luck with the shop! Maybe you’ll enjoy it and keep it for the long run. I think it’s the perfect side gig for you. The hard part is “parting with” your deals and steals! I know it would be tough for me, lol.
As soon as I saw the country rose bowl I knew it was Royal Doulton, my mum owned a much larger version when I was a teenager and we were not allowed to touch it unless dusting it with its own special paintbrush!🖌😂 to get into all the delicate flowers. It was her pride and joy along with a large collection of Lladro. Hope you were able to recharge and relax whilst looking for interesting finds. Love from the U.K.💕 🇬🇧
Rt 37 East in Toms River takes you into Seaside Heights NJ (boardwalk rides). My husband is from Toms River and when we got married our first house was just a couple blocks north of Rt 37 but further east from where you ate. That Jack and Jill lamp you bought gave me a flashback memory, those are the same type figurine style on my crib mobile and light switch cover. I just looked up that style, early 60's hand painted IRMI. Very nice finds!
Thinking of you today, Sophia. We have to start prepping for out vintage sale. It has been too cold, and then we were busy getting the yard cleaned up. I am looking forward to seeing our neighbors as well as meeting new people. We dropped off more clothing donations, but I am down to the bone on household items.( We are seniors)
I worry a little about one adage that goes 'if it sells out faster than you can stock, it's underpriced'. I know you want to move, move, move stuff, but are you short changing yourself a bit? If it takes one day longer and yield a higher return, that would be even better than fastest turnover
Thanks for taking us on the shopping trip. It's funny I found you through searching "FlyLady routine:" or something like that and I watch Crazy Lamp Lady, too.
I went into my Restore today and found an entire set of Lennox china 12 place settings plus the tea and coffee pots, cups, saucers sugar and creamer a butter server , bowls, and serving bowls and platters, $225.00. I didn't buy it because I have China but it was a great price for so many pieces.
My sister used to live in Bayville. I’m glad you said the name of the town. I’m from New Gretna, 7 miles south of Tuckerton, where you once visited and posted a video.
Dang! Why can’t we live closer to each other!! We would have so much thrifting!!! You find the best stuff! & not to mention - you find yummy places to eat!!🌻🌻
While you are out and about Sophia, I've (Virginia) have been trying to find pie birds for my sister (Wisconsin). Maybe you ( New Jersey) can find some in all your travels.
Sophia! The next time you go to that shop can you check the price of that crystal egg. I would like to know what size it is. I’ve been looking for one so long. I want a large on though. It was the one you went to after Shut Up and Eat. Jean from Arizona. Thank you! 🌴🦎☀️🌵🦂🏜
Hello Sophia, your videos never disappoint! :) Do you know anything about antique pewter jewelry? I have a pewter necklace that is pretty old & would like to find out more about it.
Don't worry about specializing in one thing, sell what ever brings in the $$. Even think outside the box, like 1980's stuff animals are big money makers right now.
Great finds Sophia, but, I would like to know what you paid for each item. This would be interesting...unless you don't want to tell us. Hugs to you and Scott.
Broaden your scope beyond milk glass, please. It's a very limited audience for that. You passed by a gorgeous glass basket vase next to the unattractive milk glass pitcher.
Disappointing , that the establishment shut up and eat has no public rest room. How unsanitary that is for the public that choose to eat there, I would have passed on that ...even if it was quaint... just me. Lol love the video and thank you for sharing.-)
cocochicone All some people can afford? I bought a used wooden cabinet at a thrift store for $40. It’s not perfect but it’s solid wood. Something similar at IKEA that is made of cheap particle board would have cost at least, at least $200. I am being generous, it would probably be more like $400. I think your comment is ridiculous! It may be all some people can afford but I can’t afford it and it’s junk!

It was good you asked the antique store about the Henkel Harris dresser. I hope you can sell it to an owner who will appreciate it!
I truly enjoyed shopping with you! It's interesting to learn what is collectible.
Love these videos! I’m thrift shopping vicariously through you 🛒

Glad to see you enjoyed the day while finding new treasures!
Sophia, you are an inspiration to me. You never know what you will find at a thrift store.
Love shopping with you without spending a dime. Lol
Fun video today. Loved the vase (with the girl in front and square vase in back) you didn't buy. It's amazing what you can find at the Goodwill!
I love those porcelain roses! I'll definitely be looking out for those! Been watching since my freshman year of college and now I'm graduating haha, felt like I grew up with you guys.
OMG my Florida grandparents lived there. I was there back in the 70s....imagine a lot of changes since then.

When I was a kid we vacationed in Toms River my Aunt and Uncle had a big house on Longfellow Ave. What a fun day you had, wish I was with you.
I just purchased something from your shop Sophia...I’m so excited! 😃 Can’t wait to get them! What did I buy??? A lady doesn’t click and tell! 😂
I love these videos. I'm a full time poshmark seller and it is fun watching your finds.
I am so happy for your sales!!! We scope out antique shops and shows to keep up with prices to set and trends for our sales.

Looks like you did really well. Great video. The stuff you are buying reminds me of when I was little. Take care.

Lovely Sophia 💜, great finds 👍🏻. We love y’all 💜♥️💕🐶🐶🐱
I loved the Christopher robin winner the pooh bookends. That was at the second stop they were adorable.
Me too but one rabbit ear was broken.

Lots of smalls. Unless it's something very collectible or will add to my own collection I try to avoid them.
I would take that Harris thing in a heartbeat if I was close to you. 😀
My kind of day out! Looks so fun!!!
I don't think there is anything that you can't do! You amaze me, Sophia
love the video. Thanks for taking us on the tour.
Lots of fun stuff! Love the little figurines! 💖👍

Great stuff! I love going thrifting with you! 😁
Terrific haul. I call it Frenchy’s Finds 💕
Hey Sofia, you can always haggle in the antique shops, they can only say no, just a thought.
My good will does not have as much good stuff as yours do. Once in a while I will find a goodie
While you are out and about Sophia, I've (Virginia) have been trying to find pie birds for my sister (Wisconsin). Maybe you ( New Jersey) can find some in all your travels.
I will look for them

I want the Pyrex casserole. I have the bowl set to match.

@@mygreatchallenge will think about it. Thanks for your honesty.
Great haul!
Great goodwill haul . 👍💁
You could be The Lamp Lady store!!
Many good things!👍🏾
Yayyyy good luck

Sorry I don't.
My Great Challenge That’s ok! :)
These vids are so fun. If something had no markings what's the best way to find out who it's by?
Reverse image or Google with as many attributes as possible
I would have bought the Winnie the Pooh and friends! That was cute. I have a 6 month old grandson now. Deb in GA.
The rabbit ear was broken. :-(

She does she shows the price when she is looking at the item.
I really enjoyed this video. I’ll share it on my Facebook Timeline, and hope you’ll get many views as a result.
Love ❤️ from Iowa,

Hi Sophia, what are your thoughts on Bristol Blue glass and Wedgwood?
They re collectible but wedgewood was massed produced a lot as knick knacks etc. Large pieces are worthy though.
Did you already sell the copper bowls I would love to have them if you have not sold them
I have the large one that jas the stainless steel inside left.
Can you tell me the price
Hi Sophia, you have a good eye for finding treasures! I was wondering, do you have to pay taxes on your earnings, as they are an additional income?
Yes after 200 items or once you reach $4000
💜

👍👏👏👏😍😘🌹💞💝
First comment yay
I've been watching you for the past 4+ years now. Missing your cleaning, cooking, etc. videos. Not into your thrifting/selling videos. 😕

What it means is that the restrooms are for customers only. They do not let people from outside walk in just to use the bathrooms.
Thank you for clearing that up for me. Now if I ever have the occasion to be there I will visit, the food looking so appetising.
Ikea furniture is pretty much junk!
