Trek never would have been my first choice, but I absolutely love the bike. Sure, it doesn't turn heads like a Yeti SB165, but it plows through the rocks and chunks and it jumps fantastic. It's turned this 51 year old into a flying fool and that's pretty damn cool
Ibis is super cool. I bought a Ripmo V2 last year after many demos and it's easily the most fun i have had on a mountain bike. I love the distinct look of the frames, sleek and recognizable from a distance. Ibis also is second to none when it comes to being cost effective and getting the spec level you want.
So wrong on Ibis in my experience they were one of the OGs in northern California in one of the best places to ride here formed 1981. I couldnt afford one but they were premiere and seminal to the industry.

Fun fact: The „rubbery hairy things“ are often called „Angstnoppen“ („fear pimples“) in German, especially if the tire is half worn and they are still on on the sides.
I’ll just say it. Ibis isnt in the same league as yeti. If we’re talking about X factor Ibis is way cooler than yeti. When I see someone on an ibis I think “heck yeah! That’s a bit different. They are probably as I to bikes as I am” when I see someone on a yeti tho “wow how predictable. They probably are just some rich dude who wanted to get a mountain bike and heard yeti bikes were super nice and exclusive” yeti just doesn’t do it for me at all. Just over priced and unapproachable.
I bought the first generation Mojo HD. I wanted Yellow or black but not the white. I was however offered an incredible deal on a new WHITE HD which I couldn't pass up and when I saw it in the flesh, everything changed. It was a stunning bike and rode like a dream. If they made the same-looking frame with today's geo and sizing (I'm 6'4), I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
The Yeti coolers are legit. They do what they claim to do, but they're crazy expensive. "Rtic" coolers are pretty much the same thing for a lot cheaper. Obviously just stole the design, but they work. Not condoning it but they are an option.
