Woww...great video! I had no idea that Topsail had that issue as well... it's always nice to see the beautiful water, but sad to see the issues they are having there. Loved the pier!!! I have only been to the ones in the Outer Banks. Have you ever visited Jennette's Pier in Nags? It's huge also. As you know, we are OBX people at our house.. it's my home away from home, but I'd love to visit Topsail😊
We vacationed annually at Topsail from the mid 60's to the 80's when the beaches were huge, and the houses were (with few exceptions) small. Sand everywhere, but that was then and now is now. People need to think twice before they build their big houses on a coast that can't possibly last. [Southport, NC].
Hey, I'm from UK 😅 absolutely love your videos... appreciate it and thanks so much for showing us beautiful Carolina ❤Love the USA 😀 I'm new sub from about few months ago or so! I am researching north and south Carolina for while now as I want to move out there in four years! So glad I found your helpful channel. Any chance u can advise some safe areas to live with children, less tornadoes 😂and floods? Show some videos of safe places to live and nice areas if u can?... Thanks again ❤
Hello Hayley! It is so cool that I am here filming videos in North Carolina. And you are thousands of miles/kilometers away watching my vlogs. If you want to live close to the beach. I love Wilmington NC. It really is a great community. If you decide to live closer to the mountains maybe Clemmons NC or Huntersville NC would be nice options too. It will take some research. But that is some places I would start with. Thanks for subscribing and have a wonderful day my friend!
Love your videos! We spent last summer vaca at Rodanthe and it was pretty sad and spooky. I know not all of the outer banks are like that, but this year we are coming back to our favorite: Sunset Beach.
Sunset Beach is my kind of beach. I love the small town vibe. It is so nice and laid back. I hope you have a great trip. Thanks for taking the time to watch my vlogs. It means so much to me and my wife for the support.
My aunt and uncle had a house that is now next to the water. When we would visit back in the 90's it was a hike over the dunes via a boardwalk to the beach. Fortunately they sold the house before the beach was washed away.
Your videos always look so nice and crisp! Can I ask what equipment you're using to film or do you have a link somewhere? Love NC beaches and enjoy watching your content!
Hello Maggie. Thank you so much for the compliment. Most of my videos are filmed using the Canon G7X Mark 2. It is great in low light and the auto focus is really good too. The Mark2 can be hard to find these days. I use iMovies to edit. When I make the movie I select PRO RES for best quality. I hope this helps you. Thanks for watching and have a great day my friend.
We owned a condo at the north end of Topsail Island (the now blue buildings near the dome house) from 2018-2022. At high tide, there is absolutely no beach at that end of the island. When you walk down the steps to access the beach at high tide, you'll in water about knee deep.
Hey friend! Next time I visit your area. I will be sure to try Coffee Haven. Thanks for watching and feel free to share this video with friends and family. Have a great day!
They sold their sand dunes in the 80s. These dunes were enormous and helped redistribute sand lost due to erosion. Erosion that is now unchecked and it shows on the dwindling beaches that now have to be rebuilt yearly.
@HitchHikingYeti Topsail island actually got it name from the fact that pirates would hide in the inlet with the island dunes hiding their ship from view when seen from ships at sea, but the 'topsail' of the pirates ships would sometimes become visible just above some of the dunes, so that's what authorities looked for. The topsail. And as I'm sure you've seen, there are no longer any of the dunes left. While the southern end of the island has increased slightly, the Northern end has lost 2 rows of houses and 2 roads since the last of the dunes were bulldozed for development.
That is a tuff question. Carolina Beach, NC is my sentimental favorite. The most beautiful beach that I have seen is Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands. I love our beaches in North Carolina. All of them offer something unique. Thanks for the question. Do you have a favorite?
Its the same story here i hope there can be some change in the currents or some artificial reefs. Views are looking great. Not a bad day on the beach! No pets on the pier!? 😅😅 👎 ellie will be disappointed! lol i hear you the beach is in my blood. Grew up on the Atlantic coast my whole life. Also try to stay away from jellies especially the man o war. That definitely looks like spaceship earth from afar. The sand is more like Long Island sand. Fluffy
Beach erosion is a big problem. Beach nourishment plans seem to be a good option for now. But that can be pricey. Hey thanks for watching and have a great day my dude!😁 I hope you gave Ellie some turkey😊
Charged 2 bucks just to walk? 5 buck for access to the beach? Can't do anything these days without people reaching in to your wallet, greed is what ruins everything.

Topsail is a beautiful place. I am trying to plan a trip to the OBX over the winter. There is so much to see out there. Have a great day Mel!
Wow! That pier is long! The dome looking roof was cool! Beautiful beach views. Thanks for sharing another great video!
I love exploring new places. I had a wonderful day out at North Topsail Beach. Thanks for watching and have a blessed day!
I fish there, for King Mackeral, off the end. From leaving the pierhouse, to the end, is 1200, to 1300 ft.

Saw the biggest two sharks i have ever seen off that pier. Definitely be mindful when swimming.
That is excellent advise Joel! Have a good day buddy. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for your video, the island look beautiful and clean ❤️
You are welcome my friend. Thank you for watching. Have a great day!

Hey that’s where we live! Love NTB, if you’re ever back up this way try coffee haven in sneads ferry.
Hey friend! Next time I visit your area. I will be sure to try Coffee Haven. Thanks for watching and feel free to share this video with friends and family. Have a great day!
I love how we have become so arrogant that we think we can defeat mother nature.
I’m going next week for vacation, did the hurricane mess anything up?
I have not heard of any damage at Topsail Island. I do not live in that area. Thanks for watching and have a fun trip.
Coffee shops at stop sign to right across-bridge in Snead Ferry
Hey John! Thanks for the directions to the nearest coffee shop. Thanks for watching and have a good day my friend!
Unfortunately this can happen when you just have to build on the coast
Hey James. Thanks for watching buddy. Have a good weekend!

There was a lot of bad builders down there at one time
Thanks for the information Christopher. Thanks for watching my friend.

It the beach! Waves never stop, so the eat away the beach part of mother nature. Only a fool builds that close to the ocean, yes it beautiful.
Wow this is expected and happening on most barrier islands. Lesson learned DO NOT BUILD ON THE EDGE OF THE OCEAN!!
