Because of the mindset there are a few that people kept these cars as over special and drove them only for special occassions. People in those days only bought them as a prestige asset instead of having a daily driver. Second is that german dealerships cost a bomb in maintenance because germany has the highest cost of labour and also their policies are if a small part if faulty, change the whole unit. With upcoming multi brand workshops, service costs have gone low and in last few years only people have started driving these cars
Also, there are folks who buy car mostly for office/ work trip, like daily as low as 10 20 30 km and upto like 50km, all within city। They buy luxury just because they can। So it ends up running less
MH is one of the costliesr re registrations like others as well. The hack is to get the car transferred to your name in the same registration ( agent will do it even if you won't have an address by using his own address ) and you can drive the car just like it. You will be owner hence you can take noc for yourself or for the next buyer whenever you wish for in future as well. Save re registration costs.
