Ben, how you've changed in 3 years in knowledge, muscles, and ownership of that boat.. its rather incredible actually. Youve gone from beginner to expert
Your dingy is really awful, but Frankenstein will stand the test of time and you will grow to love him, I cant wait to see you launch Yaba and follow the second part of your journey, I found you on your first day and have followed you all the way,
That Dinghy is a perfect Dive Boat, it will never sink, won't bend over in waves or when a diver is climbing on board, and the rubber won't rot in the sunlight.
Your underwater lights make Yaba look like a Super Yacht. Beware this will attract all manner of sea life to the hull and the area around you at night? (Particularly shark and squid.) And to the dinghy - it is sturdy and safe. If you don't love it, paint it. I believe it is a very, very good tender. I already love it for you!
Wow!! On the crib now. It's really getting close to launch now. What a journey. I have enjoyed watching all you have been through and have done with Yaba. Time now to reap the fruits of your labor.
Guys all looking great ,BUT please have a look at your rudder steering system there is a missing component , you need a spring tensioner for each side to take up the slack when the opposite side is applying the tension. look at your video and the slack wire bowing as the rudder moves ,it will come off the wheel if you do not guide it.
that dingy just needs the Niko touch! a good sand, filler, sand, prime, then paint, and paint it the same color as the boom, and use the white rino liner material for the floor! then your wife will be beyond happy i guarantee it! God bless from Kansas ✝️♥️🙏
Nice work m8s, pleased as at this end. MP and MP's Dad on Electrics, Ben's Dad Alan and his Mum, Luic and Nicco. Another closer to Splash. Looks like Bens goin to swing between the masts, like a sailor of old. Thanks m8s, keep up the good work and stay vertical.
Another great video to enjoy. Great to see the Solar Panels in place. The electrics are working. This channel deserves over 100,000 K subscribers IMHO. Lets help them get there. Keep well and safe. James.
I am saying congratulations in advance. It has been a pleaseure watching over the last three years. Wishing you guys fair winds and following seas. Be blessed.
COLREG: ANNEX I: 5. Screens for sidelights: "The sidelights of vessels of 20 meters or more in length shall be fitted with inboard screens painted matt black, and meeting the requirements of Section 9 of this Annex." Here we go and I hope that helps. Basically that means you need to build a box out of two boards and mount it on top of the wheelhouse to comply with that rule.
Your Dad is right. The tubing brace would be greatly improved with a vertical brace. And I have talked to you guys (till I'm blue in the face) about the concept of a truss system. The combo arrangement (cable/tubing) etc. that you have in the back could have been two rugged truss systems welded and attached. Tubing is great. Also again on the fore part of the boat (the bowsprit) a vertical (up and down metal post) like a "spreader system" only horizontal. Would add the strength of a truss system to the bowsprit and total rig of the boat. There would be much less flexing. I'm blue in the face here. Oh well time will tell. Set your sails and see what happens. Steve from New Hampshire.
It's all about safety, MP put stickers on it paint it, dress it up and make it better name it Franky, it won't be long now. So excited for you. Be safe stay healthy 🎉 soon.
Ben the last time I saw somebody that nervous they were waiting for their child to be born MP you excelled at every task that you’ve taken on it’s so nice that both of your families are there with you at this time Yabba glows your adventures you’ll have on the water will be epic. Keep on keeping on.❤😊
Perhaps your step father can check out the rudder cables for suitability. They look insufficient but the cables must be stronger than they look. Progress is great and can't wait to see Yaba hit the water
@@billhanna2148the cable they use is very strong and could pull a few tons with just a couple of strands of it the fasteners will most likely fail before the cable I work in the oil field and we use steel lines for everything.
Been watching from the start...and now the fruit's of your labour are nearing the boat launch time, can't wait till next Sunday. Stu...( Isle of Wight ).🎉🎉
This is the first time I believe I have seen both of y'alls parents together. Must be fun listening to their embarrassing recollections of when you were growing up. I do not recollect an anchor light being installed with the other navigation lights. Did I miss it or is it up coming?
What a great heart warming episode. Really enjoyed your family pitching in. Only thought on this episode was how your boom may act with your solar panels, I have used up quite a bit of deck wrestling a sail down on to the boom. About your dingy? Guess it can not sink. Always thought they would make a great rain water collector with a hose in the drain plug. Bet you get an all electric like Capt Moore has before long. He used a cheap winch and cables for a good retrieval davits. Every time I see Yaba from a drone shot My blood pressure shoots up 19 points.
Brupeg built a ali dingy then filled it with foam .. water ingress through leaks made it incredibly heavy . Just a friendly word of caution .. amazing channel great work ethic .. I wish you well
I like the idea dingy and will never sink maybe paint it bright colors and embrace the ugly, or reach out to highfeild and see if they will partner with you and your channel and help you getting a new dingy. and is it possible to splash on episode 200 how awesome is that you guys have done great over the last 3 years i started watching after episode 2 found you though Odd channel and so glad i did. I love Sunday mornings because I know I am going to get to see Yaba come back to life again you guys are amazing and have learned so much and grown even more i wish nothing but full sails and clear waters for you guys and many happy adventures along the way. I watch so many ship building and sailing channels here on youtube but Yaba is my favorite ship by far she is so big and roomy and beautiful I look forward to seeing her sail and I hope you bring us along for the ride. and to see you guy able to go diving again living your best life while you are young enough to enjoy it. best wishes from your appreciative fan.
So excited for y’all for the launch. I remember that sail to this yard and the state when it was winched out the water. So much respect for how far it has come.
You have to be careful with some of the underwater lights since many of them can only be used for a short period of time out of the water since the water cools the lights.
17:15 LOL! I loved that: one minute the camera is struggling with low light, the next it's like "OH! Too much! TOO MUCH!" She is going to be one very fun boat :)
The platform is too large and placed far to low, I seem to remember that you put the beams straight through the hull in the aft, instead of bolting it on?
Hai sodaraku luar biasa kemewahan tersajikan di dalam dan luar kapal nya,, suksey selalu sodaraku dan semoga kita selalu di berikan ke mudahan❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Worth checking that your LED water lights can be run for long periods out of water. I installed some years ago, tested for 5 minutes and 1 burnt out. They were cheap ones so maybe that is why.
as underwater light on stern should be covering propeller so when tangled at night you can dive down and cut free with light--THINK-THINK dont rush it all.

I think your dinghy would look great if it was painted orange.

Ben and MP, it is good to see both your parents involved in restoring Yaba.
WoW things are getting really exciting . Anti fowl and in the water she goes .. Well done all
MP will have the equivalent of an electrical engineering degree by launch date!!! Soo close!!! Thank you for my Sunday morning coffee with Yaba!!! ❤
Really!? An electrical engineering degree? After 4 weeks of wiring work?
@@frankd2301 Need to get organized for the launch ,see my post

I can just see you and MP trying to pull this dingy up on the beach and back into the water.
Woohoo getting Close Now , Gotta love the flexability Solar Panels give ya with Power these days
Paint the dingy pretty colors , gotta say that seeing the crib move over and knowing how close you are brought tears to me
So nice to see your mom again @Ben. Yabá is looking just perfect already.
Please guys love what you have done consider taking to someone about your steering maritime Engineer 😊😊🎉
I am saying congratulations in advance. It has been a pleaseure watching over the last three years. Wishing you guys fair winds and following seas. Be blessed.
Ben: I'm happy and excited, very excited
So great to have help from your family. It’s always a joy. My best memories are doing projects with mine.
I think the dinghy idea is perfect. No need to worry about keeping a patch kit around.
Does MP have a sister? 👩🏻
Do you know of any other MP’s in this world?
MO, you’re very rare and one of a kind.
Ben, you hit the Jackpot with MP!
Nice to have your mum n dad aboard 😊
So much progress 🎉❤
T minus till Splash 😊

Just think, Sooner than it was before this channel will become all about Sailing Yaba.
It's been awesome watching your journey :)
American cartoon reference…the Flintstones…Dingy should be named Dabba Doo. Yaba Dabba Doo when together.
This is perfect!
I was getting on here to say the exact same thing.
Good work ❣️
Of course it must be.. make it so. ;-D
This is getting very exciting, the launch is coming soon and we can't wait. You guys ROCK!
It's incredible, the dingy, that is.

Highfield you have to do something about this! 😉😉😉
Paint your dingy sea foam green and you’ll love it MP!
Perhaps your step father can check out the rudder cables for suitability. They look insufficient but the cables must be stronger than they look. Progress is great and can't wait to see Yaba hit the water
I am glad someone else noticed this. I know NOTHING about boat building but would love an explanation as to why it looks so flimsy?
@@billhanna2148They have changed it to Dyneema probably that will be strong enough

@@chadstinson9886 thank you sir
I’m excited for you two too! I’ve been tuning in since you first brought her out of the water, this is fantastic!
Love the dinghy... can't wait to try it going "Foilboarding" 🤣🤣🥰
Am impressed by these two years of energy and dedication to the boat !
I guess you have the worlds first un-deflatable RIB!😊 I so look forward to splash. Exciting. Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪.
Exactly 😂😂😂😂
Paint the dingy the same color as the boom"
It'll look great.
It's getting close! After watching this channel for 3 years, it will seem unreal.
😂 Love MPs brutal honesty!
You guys are ROCK STARS! Great job by the Yaba crew.
Those two dogs are going too go crazy when they see clear blue water.
Been watching from the start...and now the fruit's of your labour are nearing the boat launch time, can't wait till next Sunday. Stu...( Isle of Wight ).🎉🎉
Getting very close to splashing. Thanks for the video.
Wow great to see all Parents on board with this project 😅
Ben, use a hose clamp to compress the cable as you slip the nut on. Good Luck with the launch
Waiting anxiously to see YABA float...fantastic work ...and your dinghy does look like a big sausage...greetings love you guys.
Annnnd, now we know where Ben gets his nose from! He looks a lot like his mom! Can't wait to see this boat finally get launched!
Good morning favorite UA-cam folks! M.P. has become quite impressive with her electronic work! She’s a star!! Closer and closer!
She IS the star.
I want her to start a different channel where she reviews different tools and how they work lol.
I won’t cut my hair until Yama gets into the water.. like you Ben.😊

If you're using a caliper, you should consider getting a tabletop lathe/mill combo
Hi, I would have thought that it would be easier and better to have the bowsprit turnbuckles at the top rather than at the waterline.Cheers,Roly🇬🇧.
Give the dinghy the same teal-ish color as the boom!
The dinghy is not ugly, it has "character".... This is getting so exciting!
"Yabalita" Paint it blue.
Time to get the anti fouling done.

Don’t forget about your handrails on top of the living area. And when are you going to get the anti-falling on before you get into the water?
I cant wait to see You on /in the water... such a journey you have had... amazing
It looks like your rudder cable connections still need some attention
You could name the Dinghy "Bleurgh!" and paint these on the bow At least until Highfield sponsor a nice shiny new one for you. ;-) x
"...together with MP, this boat has been rebuilt."
Good to know that MP has been rebuilt, too. ;-)
Well guys I take my hat off to to you the boat is stunning 😊😊😊
Slow an steady wins the race

Congrats making this far omg almost time.. very happy for you guys
Good work! Maybe cinsider using some anti-sieze on threaded hardware. There is a good chance those cables will need adjustment later on
Watching you both grow more confident in your skills is inspiring. I look forward to watching the boat reach the water.
Frank is a great name for that boat. You don't want a nice dingy that get stolen or beat on.
So very close to launch!! As always, thanks for taking us along on your journey.
Resurrecting a dead inflatable with foam is a brilliant idea if you're not concerned about the weight!
17:15 LOL! I loved that: one minute the camera is struggling with low light, the next it's like "OH! Too much! TOO MUCH!"

Great videos - but where did the exhaust pipe exit the stern and did you fit sacrificial anodes? - keep up the good work - anyone know the answer ????
MP pesquisa o sistema da SPOT..comunicação via satélite...muito útil pra quem velejar...boa sorte😊❤
The drone view was awesome, Yaba is looking ready. I love the way the windows look, so nice.
You could call the dingy Yeuh-ba
This is all a bit surreal. I can’t believe you are so close, now. Exciting times, for certain! 😎🥰❤️❤️❤️🥰😎
Yes MP, it is ugly!!!! But you and Ben make everything beautiful!❤
That episode was simply d-light-full.
It’s been a huge while since the dive platform was installed and I still have massive concerns about it, with a following sea.
You have thought of everything, Hats off to you ALL!
