Fun fact: We showed prototypes of the later levels in this trailer, but since we knew no one would make it that far we just stopped halfway through developing the first level and used the rest of the budget on a pizza party.

i beat this game when i was like 9-10 years old. i am from germany and didnt understand english back then, so I didnt know to beat it twice :D

I used to watch my grandma play this game at her house when I was a kid in the 90s. This set me down the path of enjoying video games up until this very day. She passed away last year and I think if she were alive today we would definitely be playing this together. I am getting this game no matter what in her memory. I love how video games bring back nostalgia.

The real dark souls game
Hard game indeed LOL but fun.
Funnily enough, it's confirmed that magic is not tied to specific armour and when you wear full armour, you can take up to three hits before dying so it's easier in certain aspects. That being said, the skeleton murderers got a huge buff by making it so they can accelerate on a single path. It'll make the Execution Grounds... fun.

Aha! The torch is a challenge though! That's what makes it awesome. In Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts, the Torch has the best damage potential in the game, but it's quite risky.
The closest I'm getting to a Demon's Crest remake.

Original was pretty much the hardest game ever, I used to snap.
Demons Souls players: "This game is too hard, we can't beat the game!"
Ghosts N Goblins players: "We can't beat the first level."
@2005 Cool Year One summer it was me and my brothers favorite game (on SNES though). We played it over, and over, and over until we beat it daily. With true ending.
honestly, you can't even compare... Demons Souls and all the other From Software games are a laughable piece of casual gamer cake compared to G&G

Hey guys here’s a quick fix get a can of air like for dusting keyboards and electronics. Make sure you have a straw for your air can.Start by going to settings and find the control calibration screen. Then hold the analogue stick with your thumb either right or left and put the end of the straw on the opposite side of the sticks base and spray it all around while you move the stick 360 degrees so you clean it all works every time. If you understand the flaw in the joy con you will understand why this works.
Imagine trying to play this with anything other than D-pad

This timeless game I first played back in 1985 in the arcades and instantly got hooked amazingly this new version seems to keep the original game play this is crazy 36 years after just amazing can't wait to play the switch version

This game was so hard it gave me nightmares. This game, Mega Man, and effing Golden Axe are so challenging that they were god damn unplayable.

One of the most challenging game ever. As a kid I heard someone knowing someone who knew someone who beat it, but probably it was an urban legend
Since none of the games feature a continue system and has checkpoints it's mostly a matter of patience than consistently being skillful in each level. Super Ghouls n' Ghosts is the only game to have continues but it's pretty easy to earn more as money bags respawn in each level if you die.
Ah yes, this brings back so many memories... Of the first level at least.

I still can't believe it but im so happy to play another ghosts N' goblins game I also grew up playing and enjoying this series of games I remember playing hokey from school to play at my favorite pizza shop next to my school yeah when the acarde version of the first game came out my teacher caught 😳 me playing i got hit by the belt but sooo worth it😅

One of my favorite games, my friends and I use to challenge each other in 2 player mode, and the first person to beat the game won. We did that hundreds of times.

Yeah i agree with the animation. The other replacement for a similar, but much better in my eyes could be Vanillaware art style and animation.
The New Art Style reminds me of Joan of Arc and Monty Python... Honestly fitting.
As much as I like the PSP version and the Classic NES and SNES games, more GnG means more games on the way.

I think they were trying to mimic the style of old medieval paintings while giving it a picture book aesthetic, but it does look fairly awkward in motion, I have to agree.
@@LonesomeDevil Agreed, it's something that was probably a better idea on paper than in practice. Still, it's neat to finally get a new GnG game after so many years, it was arguably the only interesting thing at the Game Awards!

Ahm... What does the joycon problem got to do with the announcement of a new ghost'n goblins game?
Sure I know it's a biiiig problem, and it's very annoying when you are playing, and there are these ghost moves and weird behaviors (I had to learn how to replace the analog sticks myself because it was bugging me to the fullest). But I think it is a bad habit of today, to run up to a group of friends, that are enjoying themselfs over something and start yelling what is bugging you... Wrong place and wrong time.
You might face the reality of it and accept the fact that nintendo screwed up big time with the joy con drift and move on. Maybe learn how to replace the sticks yourself during quarantine? I can tell you some of these replacement sticks on amazon are better then the ones the joy cons came with. This is the truth...

This game on NES was/is awesome! So many great memories. Proud to say that I beat it over 30 years ago. I remember having to leave the NES on, so I could continue playing the next day. I had to leave a t-shirt over the NES so my Mom wouldn't see the power button on and turn it off. LOL I look forward to playing this new G&G game. Thank you Capcom and Nintendo.
I like how this is the only comment saying they beat the game, and everyone else is talking about not getting past the first couple levels. I don't remember ever getting past the ice level.

@@tylerreardon5866 Bloodsouls games actually mainly require patience. If you go in in hack ´ n slash mode you´ ll die, no matter how good you are.

@@TonyTonyRedgrave Souls games are unforgiving. One mistake usually leads straight to your death. What´ s "easy" about them is the predictability of enemies. Once you have memorised their movement and attack patterns you just breeze through the game. The same goes for bosses. Once you have a strategy you just execute it regardless how long it takes to chop down the boss. Some fights are really long (yes, I mean you, Shadows of Yarnham) and if you do something wrong you die. And I think that's why people think these games are hard.
