the lemaire square heel sandals are hands down the best summer shoes I've found so far, with a comfy padded footbed - finally squishy-chic summer shoes
This was so great! I am so tired of the trend focused fashion influencers peddling the same boring poo. This was interesting and inspiring. I am not a kitten heal gal, but I am looking at the Loewe with new eyes.
The breadth of recommendation in this video is mind blowing, you know Ms Tuba knows her stuff and has done her research in line with what’s fashionable to her personal style.
wait... tea... summer shoes are literally so hard. and not to be tmi but i have THICK stocky meaty ankles, and i feel like strappy skimpy shoes look so strange on me... also my budget is like basically $10. i would have to be albert einstein to figure this out
Then maybe you feel better in strappy bold sandals? With thicker leather straps? Or just some open cuts to let the air through. They have been in fashion years ago, maybe you get lucky with a used (or deadstock) pair.
I love gladiator sandals. I love shoes that are open in the front, but closed in the back. My favorite kind, and most comfortable. Mary Jane shoes are 100% comfortable. Also, flip flops are super impractical for anything other then the shower.
Absolutely! It took years to learn. I now have only beautiful and comfortable shoes. It's difficult to enjoy life with pinched toes and blistered heels.
I’ve seen people recommend the Loop Toe Hi from United Nude, saying they’re very comfortable walking all day in it. They’re kind of a mule, the design is interesting without being too in your face. They have a bunch of other designs/models that range from pretty classic to very original, too.
I have the Loop Hi (not the ones with the toe loop, the ones with the lower strap that goes all the way across the foot) and can testify that they're a wonderful shoe
Flip flops are torture devices. They feel like they are about to fall off your feet all the time. I have no idea where your shoe experience comes from, but its 100% the opposite of mine.
My wardrobe is about 90% pre-owned, including purses and coats. All natural fabrics and well made, but the price I pay is time and energy. But shoes I love shoes. That's where I spend.
Can you do a video recommending shoes that a person can walk all day in, like in the city or while on holiday? Maybe other city accessories like hats, sunglasses, bags.
Tuba! Thank you for the video! I am always so happy to see that you have posted. OK, some notes…The term you were searching for when discussing the ballerina flats regarding the very low vamp is ‘toe cleavage’….note two, and I promise this is true as I was a very early adopter…I mean Rickys in NYC in the late 90’s or early 00’s where I got my first and only pair of kitten heeled pink flip flops….they will not only cause blisters, they will slice your feet in two…reason.. the sole, in order to have a heel is quite rigid, believe me….ouch…and I am very small and in shape…OK now, I hope I can remain a subscriber but I wil tell you what four shoes I got for this summer and I love them all, and the whole four pairs clocked in UNDER $40…not each…all four 1. White ballerina tabby’s from SHEIN, 2. Also from SHEIN, a pair of denim thong (dressy flip flops,…) with rhinestone straps…very pretty 3. Baby pink over sized fake crocs from the dollar store..$8.99 super street and cool for sure, and finally white classic flip flops, basic plain original style for the beach. Coney Island Here I come! Xoxo
I have some Hereu mary janes and I absolutely love them. I didn't know G.H.Bass so I got curious... 200+ euros... I am sorry but you lost me on "of course you pay nothing for these shoes"... it's already a big price tag for summer shoes!
I do like the disruptive function of shoes idea very much. Perfection is so boring after all. As for choice of Summer shoes, it would have to be the flip flops for me. We call them thongs here in Australia, speaking of which, did you know that the rubber thong is the national shoe of Australia? Our feet are perfectly primed for the strap thing that sits between the toes as a result of wearing them all year long as children. As a child of the 80s it is all I wore when I wasn't at school where the fully enclosed leather lace-up school shoe was mandatory). Nowadays I wear the Birkenstock Gizeh (again, a thong style) of which 4 have four pairs. The kitten heel thong kind of defeats the purpose of the thong, I mean flip flop, imo though. They don't look very stable.
Thanks for another great video Tuba! I have the hardest time finding shoes for summer so appreciate the inspiration! Definitely going to check out the JW Anderson moccasin in the kitten heel. Merci x
hi, not all the Repetto ballerinas are showing the beginning of the toes, actually this was a request from Brigitte Bardot to Rose Repetto when she launched the hype of ballerinas in the 60's. They are a few models of Repetto ballerinas, I think that the one with the "décolleté" on the toes in called "Cendrillon" (or BB)
thank you! I needed this. I really love the small heeled ballet shoes pictured in your video that do not look like patent leather (as they Repettos are.) Do you happen to know who makes those? Love your videos, thanks for all you do~
aw man, its depressing how I have been saving up to afford gh basses and now I hear they are cheap and bad quality and I should pay double. Anyway, love your videos, keep it up, kisses
Porselli is a good alt to repetto. You don't get the toe cleavage (still relatively low compared to what's in right now) but the quality is better and they're cheaper
I used to love havaianas for summer but I have high arches and flip-flops f*ck up my feet. so for summer shoes, I still look for support. martinianos have a bit of support and are soft, breathable leather.
I bought a pair of ST. Agni square toe flats, that was almost identical to the Lemaire Souris flats. The condition was horrible! There was so much visible glue and weird constructions, that was not visible from the product pictures. They were even scuffed and the leather just felt like cheap faux shoes. I absolutely did not keep them, and I still see ST. Agni everywhere.. I like the look of many of their items, but no.. Wont go there again! I bought the Lemaire Souris instead - so words to myself "do not buy the dupe, save up for the original"
eek I live in a big city and it is not practical for me to wear flip-flops even in 30 + because the city is too gross to have my toes out and I walk miles around the city and need more support. I wear closed-toe shoes allll summer long.
My bass weejuns were just glued on. And the glue did not hold up making the heels come off after about a year. i thought they were terrible quality. even some designer shoes look hand-stitched but are just glued on.
love a little strappy sandal, mule, mesh loafer or fisherman sandal in the summer (washing your feet once you get home should be common sense in the summer). other than that, leather slippers are also always a good choice. once worn in leather shoes are the most comfortable garment in the world. i honestly don't get the stifling obsession with trainers: they make my feet hurt, sweat and of top of that they're butt ugly. trainers are ok for doing sports, nothing else.
i hate summer! i hate everything about it, but esp ALL summer clothes--shoes, sundresses, shorts. allergies, air conditioning chlorinated pools. BATHING SUITS give me a chicago winter & my doc martens all day everyday
How do you know the Loewe Sandals are comfortable? They look comfortable but it’s a different thing to actually wear them in a few occasions especially under heat. I wouldn’t blind buy any of these shoes because they can rub the feet and become a nightmare really fast. Also, the shoes you showed are so dark, actually mostly black… Hum. As much as I understand that your style is on the darker side, it would be great to also have recommendations in color, perhaps.
The brand is named after Enrique Loewe Roessberg, a German merchant. According to Loewe website: It wasn’t until 30 years later in 1872 when the technically gifted leathermaker Enrique Loewe Roessberg arrived from Germany, took the helm and consolidated the operation under a unified banner. *everyone excuse the sound please, I made a technical mistake and did not realise it before the upload*
Thats OK. Im just amazed at your show experience. How id a flip flop ever going to be more comfortable then a Mary Jane flat.
don't forget to leave a like in the comments

Sandals in the city mean dirty feet 😩 I always wondered why guys wore timberlands with jean shorts in nyc now I know
This was so great! I am so tired of the trend focused fashion influencers peddling the same boring poo. This was interesting and inspiring. I am not a kitten heal gal, but I am looking at the Loewe with new eyes.
I've audibly laughed at least ten times and I'm not even four minutes into the video. You are truly the best, Tuba. 💗
Same here! Her jokes always catch me off guard, I love it
Thank you for describing wedges so eloquently ❤😊
omg i love how you left one side of the collar inside
Such an iconic tuba moment.. “but I’m a loafer”
Perfect timing on this video, have just started running into this problem once again 😪
The breadth of recommendation in this video is mind blowing, you know Ms Tuba knows her stuff and has done her research in line with what’s fashionable to her personal style.

The St Agni sandal is 100% guaranteed blister - steer clear
No sandals with open back are blister free.
Flat ones with strings are the only ones that don't give me blisters though @@marissashantez6051
I love this channel so much omg

You are referring to "toe cleavage" when you talk about the Repettos.
Those Loewe fisherman sandal wedges 😍
Quality and comfort, followed by design should be the guiding principles for shoes in general. Cool fit and hairdo as always!

Still trying to get MY summer shoes !
This video was so needed, you're our saviour Tuba! Crossing my fingers for a video on how to keep your personal style in +25 and above degrees 🥴
My wardrobe is about 90% pre-owned, including purses and coats. All natural fabrics and well made, but the price I pay is time and energy. But shoes I love shoes. That's where I spend.
I love loafers or flat sneakers even in summer. Very comfortable and perfect for pants or skirts.
God, this channel is so cool. ❤
whaaa ok 🤧
Tuba - the raffia woven slippers from your homeland, Turkey, are charming & fun.
The shoes you’ve shown are So so so chic. Love youuuuuuuu

This topic is soo relevant for me , thanks!!
I have the canvas moonstars- comfortable right out of the box.

much wow!

I was literally going to bring up the COS loafer kitten heel is cool, I have no idea the quality but I LOVE the look
Only comes in whole sizes; runs wide & thus I cannot wear.
Great video, thanks for the humor!
Love this video, thank you ❤
Thanks for another great video Tuba! I have the hardest time finding shoes for summer so appreciate the inspiration! Definitely going to check out the JW Anderson moccasin in the kitten heel. Merci x
this video is above my tax bracket but i'm eating it up nonetheless
The mic/ audio comes out a little fuzzy makes it a little less enjoyable when listening but I love your videos!

For ballerinas take a look at the brand Josefinas. Their customer service is amazing and the shoes have beautiful quality.
Porselli is a good alt to repetto. You don't get the toe cleavage (still relatively low compared to what's in right now) but the quality is better and they're cheaper

Great video!
I want them allllll
all the shoes you recommended are gorgeous, but no f ..ng way you can wear them in 27 + degrees of summer and be comfortable
All impractical except for the Haviaiana flip flop 🙄
In the heat, only flat sandals in a very smooth leather (calf) work. The simpler the better.
eek I live in a big city and it is not practical for me to wear flip-flops even in 30 + because the city is too gross to have my toes out and I walk miles around the city and need more support. I wear closed-toe shoes allll summer long.
I guess I just mean that a lot of her recommendations would actually be very comfortable for me to wear in 27 +
like, comment and subscribe for more videos guys

GH Bass loafer...$175 usd - hand stitched-all leather, including the soles. Last forever.
My bass weejuns were just glued on. And the glue did not hold up making the heels come off after about a year. i thought they were terrible quality. even some designer shoes look hand-stitched but are just glued on.
I try to never pay more than 200 for shoes and I thought I was extravagant. If 175 is cheap I wonder what Tuba finds expensive.

One collar out is fucking with my ocd so hard I actually can’t watch this. 😂
another perfect video 💜
Love the recos!
Tuba what are your thoughts on fisherman sandals on men?..
I'd love to see a video focused on men's fashion and what you like and what you don't like mainly because I'm selfish
What about the mesh ballet flats? Are we up for this trend?
Loafers all the way!!

There’s something different about the audio quality in this video. It’s clipping
I think the brand “Aeyde” is pronounced “aye- dee.” That’s what I’ve heard from others. correct me if I’m wrong peeps! 😊
why is the audio painful to listen to on this video isnt the mic the same ? (idk how mics work)
She made a technical mistake !
Socks with shoes in the summer!! Helpppp too hot🥵🌞
Linen socks are actually bearable ! Pricier but they last a long time.

@@jenjen789 yes! but Enrique, not Henrich ;)
The designer that created Loewe is half German, half Spanish, so both pronounciarions are correct.
