quick correction: at 3:28 I incorrectly said the range of each string was two octaves plus a few more. it's actually one octave plus a few more. also, I realized the three dots indicate the start of the next octave, so that might be helpful to know
wow as a guitarist this is impressively in depth for a fishing game lmao, Im very thankful that the dev took the time to implement all of this for a cosmetic item.
I really hope people start actually playing their music instead of using the midi player, it would be a shame to not use one of the coolest implementations of a playable guitar in a video game
I mean this in game guitar is so accurate that it will teach you how to play a guitar in real life... Like I can play guitar IRL, this is how you play guitar IRL...
Its cool that they added a guitar but as someone who actually plays a guitar irl it always strikes a nerve that theres people out there that would rather immitate than play the real thing cause I can tell yall this is way more complicated that playing the real thing... or at least on par cause not only do you need keybinds to have certain chord shapes, you need to strum it a certain way with your mouse if you want to play a specific song, and you also use qwerty1-0 as your fretboard. If you genuinely learn how to shred or play complicated songs on a virtual instrument PLEASE pick up the real thing the world needs your talent!
Counterpoint Good guitars can be expensive, up to $50 maybe more, and on something a person doesn't know if they will actually want to do. While webfishing is $5 on steam and is an optional side content that lets people see if they enjoy music creating process
I actually already know piano! that background is the main reason I bothered this much to learn the ingame guitar to begin with- it can essentially be bodged into a piano keyboard due to the string keybinds, plus the fact that the game allows you to construct fingerings that are physically impossible to do in real life. it's DEFINITELY not a good substitute for a real guitar, but I don't think anybody is taking it so seriously as to genuinely be considering if this is a valid alternative (or at least I'd hope not). to me, it's a silly gimmick for musicians to play around with when they're bored- and maybe an excuse for guitar players to talk about guitar
This might be asking a lot, not sure, but if you're taking any requests, could you perhaps make a guide for the song "Once in a Lullaby" from Risk of Rain 2? It's one of my favorite songs, and I'd like to play it, but I've got no experience with reading music sheets and such. Also thank you for the tutorial and the doc, it's been super helpful!
I know you can save the chords for one song but is there a way to save the song and make new chords on a separate song or do i just need to change the chords my self ever time?
checking ou the google doc to see you have outer wild and the last of us for webfishing, ready to traumatize everyone in game now, is there any chance you can do one of ah ha take on me?
can u give a tutorial how to read the webfishing-guitar site? i wanna put it into the chords, notes, whatever it is but im having a hard time figuring it out...

@@alpaxolotlthat's okay, you don't need a bass to play alba-core anyway.

Tuna fish? Have you tried a piano?

Is it actually playable? I can’t seem to make chords
such a cool concept. I don't even fish. I just join random lobbies and play easy songs in c major that I already know
It’s a shame people are already using mods to autoplay midis. I think this is super neat.
I mean, I think that’s still pretty impressive to set up tho 😅
@@thespeedyyoshi only someone who can’t play either would be bothered by one or the other

The disclaimer at the end is pretty misleading. If you understood that you can basically grab a guitar and do the same given you Google how to tune it
Thank u so much for the tutorial! I wanna practise playin dearly beloved on this game, my friends will lose it!

you can't use your real skills in game where you can play to other people to vibe with. you might find real friends irl tho.

@@christianmclean9891$50 is unfortunately cheap for a guitar too, most good ones are above $150
the world can wait, now watch me play Mary Had a Little Lamb for the fifth time!
I hope this game accidentally creates a new wave of rockstars who'll have to point to this game as the origin for their careeers

I know you can save the chords for one song but is there a way to save the song and make new chords on a separate song or do i just need to change the chords my self ever time?
theres a mod that lets you have multiple sets of chords saved.
