I didn't watch this anime fully, I mean I'm going to watch from the start but I watched few things like 1. Levi Vs Zeke 2. Eren Vs other titans But don't know anything about this anime. But before watching I have doubt to ask. Who is good team here titans or humans.? What is going on here Anyway bro?
I love the fact that at 0:15, Zeke reacts so quick. He sees Levi and he instantly goes on the attack. He was no slouch, he was not acting dumb, he immediately went for the kill. It all goes to show how incredible Levi is. No matter how strong Zeke was, he was no match for him. He didnt get magically nerfed like in some other mangas. He had no obvious plot armor, he just destroyed him fair and square.
@@Nath-sj6mb but he was raised to be an incredibly skilled human. key word human, the ackerman's don't have "special powers". they're just incredibly skilled.
I love the fact that Zeke is asking himself things like “did he take out my eyes?” While Levi is already on to the next thing. This really illustrates how many steps behind Zeke is in this fight, not just in reaction time but even in thoughts. Utterly and truly outclassed, without knowing it until it was way too late.
Shit. Watching Sasha run laps for 5 hours was better than S8. And I'm a huge fan of the books and was a huge fan of the show until they introduced my favorite character and completely butchered it. Which imo is what ruined the show.
This shows how truly Levi cares for the scouts. You can see the pain turning into massive anger for the loss of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives 🥺
That’s what makes this entire scene so amazing. And what bolsters Levi’s character.. He’s so bad ass the remaining army gave up their lives so that one guy had a chance to take down the beast Titan because they had that much faith in him, because Levi is THAT good.
@@florenceowusu3669 originally zeke isnt helping eren to flatten the world, he tricked eren to use the founding titan power to end eldian bloodline. So there's no titan carrier in the future in other to stop the titan war. My favorite episode of the whole series. This episode made us feel like our heroes were completely surrounded and had no choice of surviving. It truly felt like the beginning of the end UNTIL this BADASS turns the tables and OMG it's so beautiful.
This is by far the greatest scene in Attack on Titan and one of the greatest 1 sided fights in all of anime. Levi really showed the Beast Titan what it truly means to be a beast.
@@lonelylama5222 i thought it did but no, it has a more chill soundtrack instead of this. The armored titan (this vid) soundtrack fits much better to this scene. Gives it epicness
now that you point it out it makes no sense to me why reiner would tell zeke about levi when in that moment he isnt a marlian but a scout (because of his personality switches) but idk maybe i need to chill
@@dumbtch-lk5yr Because he literally doesn't. What he actually said at that point was "Beware of a lone soldier". As in everything is normal until you see that a single separated soldier is attacking you, that will mean it's Levi, and you should take on him with outmost care as he might kill you faster than you realize otherwise.
Also his standing in the squad as a millitary member would be important to note. They trained under him for like 10% of their lives at that point at their age. Around Erins age.
@@nickwolf6544 Yes, I do read the manga as well. They are eldians but what do they look like when they arent titans? Humans. Zeke didnt see an Ackerman and remembers their origins and yada yada, he only saw a human slice him in seconds thus he thinks of him as a monster. Also throwing spoilers on the wind just to be an smartass in a random comment doesnt seem like a nice thing to do, right?
Can we just appreciate how brilliant of a strategist Levi is? His first attack on his nape was also positioned so that if he missed (which he did by Zeke blocking), he could immediately switch to attacking his other vitals. Levi is literally playing chess during this fight
@@joshgoodman9882 They did. You can see when Levi dives down on Zeke after getting him down to the ground. Levi does a shift in his maneuvering gear in order to compensate for Zeke lifting his arm to try and stop Levi
@@joshgoodman9882 There is thought behind every frame of animation in high intensity action sequences, especially based on information we already know about the character as well as the emotional investment in the build up to this prior. You probably don’t notice but in almost every fight Levi is in, they show him switching the grip on the blade usually in his right hand or whatever hand is going to be useful/be the follow up in the move he’s going to perform, it’s to put less pressure on his shoulder and allows him to do his little beyblade move. When he was being trained for the scouts in his OVA, they even tell him off for doing it. Levi’s fight scenes are actually known to be some of the longest pieces to animate.
I'd hate to be one of those guys riding towards Zeke yelling and shooting green smoke. If they would've told me I had to do that, I would've went my ass back home.
I love watching Levi in combat. You notice he rarely ever goes for kill shots immediately. He will always break them down first. Disarm them. In this case, he targeted the eyes and then the ankles before going for the kill shot. Zeke, being used to people going for kills first, protected his neck expecting Levi to strike there first.
he was going for the nape but realised that Zeke had it protected as he was going in. He wouldn't have cut him down if he did not protect his nape there, it was his quick-thinking to blind Zeke.
He actually does this exact same combo on Annie which I find to be more impressive because he isn't aware yet how intelligent those types of "titans" are. But his strategy isn't to kill but really just wear them down and remove all mobility from them and he does it so fast that they can't counter. His first attack is a feint to use the arm as a means to get close and follow up with removing their eyes. Destroying the arm is a bonus can now they have no means to attack. Levi is fast and hard to catch already and without eye sight it'll be near impossible. Then the legs so there is no running allowed and he can wail on them as much as he likes.
Levi strikes fast and hard, and employs misdirection to lure his opponent to take certain actions. He goes for the nape, knowing from dealing with Annie that Zeke would cover it with his hand, but also turn his head to try and see Levi, lining up his eyes for Levi to take out.
Its a mind game, like others mentioned. Levi is experianced and isn't underestimating his opponent; he know's that, THEY know, the neck is the weakpoint. So he predicted he would protect it, and went for other things instead until a opening came up.
Just now after rewatching for like the 20th time I noticed when Levi slashes through the Beast Titan's eyes you see Zeke rapidly blinking trying to check if he actually lost his titan's perspective
This scene was epic and all but what Reiner said in the manga literally made this scene even more incredible. He warned Zeke before the battle by saying, “There’s one more thing I need to tell you. If you’re ever attacked by one solider alone.....his name is Levi......he’s extremely dangerous.” That line sent chills down my spine.
The build up to this part is what makes this resolution absolutely unbeatable. The sheer desperation they were into, and immense sacrifices they had to do just to give Levi a window of opportunity... The frustration released in this moment had been stacked so masterfully that I (and probably many more out there) couldn't stay seated while watching this bit. What a brilliant piece of storytelling.
My first blind run on AOT, from ss1 straight to ss3, was the best anime experience for me. The thrilling story unfolds, kickass animation, memorable OST and the OTP that i worship: MikaEreh. Everything is perfect
Return to Shiganshina (Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2) is one of the greatest arcs/seasons in any form of media across any genre. @@VERGILGASM I read a comment that said playing this theme sure sounds fire but it also kinda gives you the idea that Levi will definitely win here but the original was so random that for one sec you will wonder whether Levi win or not?
@@aryanverma8344 Despite that it was also right after all their sacrifices, so the original theme fit more because it was much more depressing given the context, unlike something like Levi vs Female titan
People that haven't seen the anime wouldn't understand how powerful this shit was. There was a lot of things we didn't know and so far, zeke (the beast titan) appeared like the final boss, he had taken Reiner the armored titan in a 1v1, was the leader of the titan operation in the island and had never lost one battle, he was always two steps ahead of the corps, not even Erwin the commander or Armin were able to discover his plans. The amount of deaths and suffering this guy caused makes this scene being so epic, because you know you can't fuck with levi.
And the whole time he was keeping his distance, if you were like me and was waiting for Levi to make his move, the strongest titan vs our strongest soldier, a battle we were waiting for since we seen the beast. Very satisfying how he just destroys him when he shows up, we’ve been waiting patiently for this opening for so long in levi’s pov it’s not even funny😂 him not wasting time was the exact attitude we needed from him in this fight
It just proves why Erwin was so willing to stake his and the recruit's lives on this plan. Erwin didn't just hope Levi would kill the Beast, he had full confidence in his friend because an angry Levi Ackermann is scarier than any titan out there
Too bad it's undercut by shit writing at the end. So obvious the writers wanted to keep Zeke alive for later events so they refused to stay true to Levi's character and pretended he wanted to hear Zeke's answers despite having a sword in his mouth.
@deodrasshelios7957 I don't think that was shit writing. Maybe a bit cliché. But that was more of Levi revealing what they've learned about titan shifters. As opposed to S1 when they were caught off guard by the idea of transforming more than once - which lead to the death of his squad. It was also a neat reassuring of knowledge on how titan shifters work - which made the reactions towards Eren's 3rd consecutive transformation in S4 make sense. Also, I don't think Zeke's survival was blatantly obvious. It was possible. Although, not because shit writing. But of the circumstances. They needed to keep him alive, so they could potentially use the serum. However; Zeke's importance moving forward was definitely not noticed until he first spoke with Eren.
This is the scene Zeke learnt he isn’t invincible and it’s amazing. The actually genuine fear and surprise in his eyes as Levi cripples him so accurately shows how super humanly cool Levi is.
This is also beautifully seen the so called ''Devils of Paradise'' are fearlessly swarming around the Jaw Titan. For so many years, Titans were seen as the ultimate force of nature, and to see that a group of people rush you without hesitation is chilling.
It is the rule in war, if our forces are ten to the enemy's one, to surround him; and RETREAT if five to one, RETREAT; if twice as numerous, to divide our army into two, and RETREAT - Sun Zeke
The scary thing with Levi is that he's viciously smart with the way he fights. He always goes for the eyes first (like against Annie), then he goes for the ligaments before the nape. A titan who can't see and move is basically vegetable on a chopping block for Levi.
Would also like to add that he baits going for the nape, so they don't protect their eyes, then goes for the free eyes. Which means he understands how to fight with a titan, better than the people in the titans kinda.
@@cuchutrain Wow you're right. Of course, Levi is strong and fast af but tactic is as important too. Also this sounds more realistic now Big brain time
To be fair the distraction was needed. Range was the only advantage zeke had on Levi, so the scouts had to die. There was literally nothing they could do, not even Levi could have survived if he went with the assault
@@LeonSkennedy2005 yes, but not in that scenario. No matter how powerful Levi is, zeke would see him and kill him, just as he did to the entire scout regiment

Pretty sure that one goes to Ozymandias from Breaking Bad but let me check, I do recall there being a mild bit of controversy about this too Edit: This and the episode before it does sit at number 1 and 2, but the top 20 are all rated the same at 9.9, so if we're counting by the number of votes, it would go to Game Of Thrones "Battle of the Bastards" at 202k votes, followed by Breaking Bad's "Ozymandias" at 161k votes. AOT's rep here would be S4 Part 1's "Assault" at almost 70k votes. Please do be noted that I'm not 100% sure how the ratings system works so OP's claim is still technically right? Idk

I love that he wastes absolutely no time interrogating him about the nature of the titans. At this point, humanity has been in the dark for so long and Levi acts as a fine representative of the intense frustration and impatience of humanity, with a calculated, refined rage to match. He doesn’t waste a single second during this entire encounter. I get goosebumps from how masterfully he pins him after cutting him out, not taking any chances with this victory.
Yeah I think so too, he was holding his gas during most of this situation. The last time, he went straight after riener and nearly killed him on sight from then he was holding. He finally got to let loose here it’s probably why he does since he had some extra gas he could use😭😭
I love how Levi completely encapsulates the anger that we felt towards the Beast Titan. He was mercilessly killing the Survey Corps members. And there was a horror that was instilled in us because of that. For Levi to go absolute beast mode on him was very satisfying. Bigger goal or not, what Zeke was doing was plain wrong. He didn't just kill them. But the way he treated it as a game is what's bad. He took joy in successfully hitting them. He needed someone like Levi to teach him a lesson. And Levi truly accomplished that. And people still wonder why Levi was fixated on killing Zeke.
@@dreamiesnoona6423 There is a flash back of zeke stating he didnt like to kill people so he made it a game in his head of playing catch with the beast titan who came before him.
@@joshgoodman9882 You don't know what storyboarding is, do you?

I'd hate to be one of those guys riding towards Zeke yelling and shooting green smoke. If they would've told me I had to do that, I would've went my ass back home.
The last season has much better choreographed scenes than this shit.
@@nicison314 or, he predicted Zeke would think he'd go for the nape and protect it, so Levi went for the eyes instead. What a great moment.
He warned Zeke before the battle by saying,
“There’s one more thing I need to tell you. If you’re ever attacked by one solider alone.....his name is Levi......he’s extremely dangerous.”
That line sent chills down my spine.

The frustration released in this moment had been stacked so masterfully that I (and probably many more out there) couldn't stay seated while watching this bit. What a brilliant piece of storytelling.

That's so true. Try to fuck around with Levi, and he'll fuck you up so badly before you can even think what to do.
Levi not only destroyed the most terrifying Titan they had seen yet but also had time to trash talk. Fucking legend.
This is the scene Zeke learnt he isn’t invincible and it’s amazing. The actually genuine fear and surprise in his eyes as Levi cripples him so accurately shows how super humanly cool Levi is.
Yeah, Zeke! THIS is for Mike, you jerk! (I know that no one knows what happened to him, but we do, and I never forgot.)
This is also beautifully seen the so called ''Devils of Paradise'' are fearlessly swarming around the Jaw Titan. For so many years, Titans were seen as the ultimate force of nature, and to see that a group of people rush you without hesitation is chilling.

The scary thing with Levi is that he's viciously smart with the way he fights. He always goes for the eyes first (like against Annie), then he goes for the ligaments before the nape. A titan who can't see and move is basically vegetable on a chopping block for Levi.

I can’t believe this show is about to end I enjoyed every moment
@@dhruvsenju i have binged the whole 3 seasons in a few days i could not stop my self i did not excpect this show to be this good holy shit!
Me too.
I have watced this show more than 5 Times and enjoyed it every time
There is way too much content left for it to be wrapped up in 30min. Even a finale thats over an hour isn't enough. So we'll either get a movie a pt3 or an eternity of blue balls
I wish levi didn't get hurt
Well this aged poorly
0:13 it always gives me goosebumps 😆
Captain levi, there is blood on your face!
Levi: oh wait, you think this is MY blood?
Alejandro Portillo the fact it hasn’t started evaporating should tell you how fast this was
ugh copied comment
reminded me of when Saitama killed Boros and Genos though he was bleeding and Saitama said it was the aliens'
How Levi systematically undid this guy shows why he's the strongest character in this anime, not just raw power, tactically as well.
Being good doesn't stop you from being a dumbass.
He is ‘captain levi’ for a reason
@@assordante2205 I don't see how your statement is in anyway plausible
**Erwin Smith has entered the chat**
Well, he isn’t that strong anymore now is he?
Coming back after the finale...emotions all over the place. What a great show!
Yep I feel sad when eren was sitting silent all of a sudden on a bench eyes closed and few marks appear on his eye and face when he died in dream world when Mikasa and eren meet during the last conversation that scene really touch my heart.
In the end Levi completed his mission. It really took me by suprise how swift and clean Levi cut Zeke's head off while he was enjoying his last breath, what a savage.
@@KevinKurosaki777 It was on sight 😆
In the end, He chose levi and that would be honour for him to die from the person who always beat him in fight
I was so surprised they actually made it to an ending that wasn't terrible.
After you learn the truth about the titans I was sure it would go down hill and they wouldn't have a way to end it, like so many other shows struggle to. But it was satisfying all the way through.
This was the best episode hands down. That scene was incredible.
Memories of the future
@@Nico777_YT good episode but season 3 has better ones

@@WizardGCruz i was talking about the soundtrack in this scene , i think it not the same , if it is then im wrong .
0:44 the two heavy slashes was perfect match with this shocking soundtrack
Including the Donkey Kong head hitting the ground goes well, all too well!
