That was pretty friggin funny! Mr. Hooper in a Farrah Fawcett T-shirt & a toupee? And then the motorcycle? But everyone loves the old (meaning the original ) Mr. Hooper . . I sat here LOL though . .

    This was fabulous!
The music that was playing was the same music that was in the Ernie and Bert skit with the water dripping and the vacuum cleaner to try to drown out each sound..which is one of my favorite E&B skits. It still makes me laugh every time I see as if it was the first time.
Thank you for another great upload, it definitely lifted my mood today 😊

It was definitely the same music. By the way, you said it right....Ernie and Bert, not Bert and Ernie, which even today's Sesame Street goes by unfortunately. Ernie was the main character in the E & B skits and Bert was the secondary/supporting character.

Mr. Hooper looked awesome with the wig on. He looked awesome regardless just because he WAS Mr. Hooper.
This is what I loved about Old-School Sesame Street. It was so human and realistic. Mr. Hooper likely having a late mid-life crisis when one mourns the loss of one's younger years.
    RIP Mr. Hooper/Will Lee.

OMG, that Shaggy wig...and the Farrah Fawcett t-shirt... He looks like Bruce Vilanch, but slimmer.
This is like seeing your parents trying desperately to show your teenage friends they're "young" and "with it".

THAT'S who he was reminding me of. I couldn't put the name or face to it, but subconsciously, that's exactly who he reminds me of.

It was great to see Mr. Hooper be joined by Mr. McIntosh and Willy the hot dog vendor and the 3 of them take off in their motorcycles, regardless of age.
Be young, stay young and have fun.

I think this was to symbolize that just because you're a certain age doesn't mean you can't to be young in heart. Mr. Hopper was probably the oldest person on Sesame Street but loved playing games and singing songs just like the rest of the cast.

That's the same song on the Ernie and Bert skit where Ernie puts the volume button on bert after turning the radio up and down.

A couple things. I know full well the shirt was supposed to be Farrah and all, but the thumbnail made it look like Wendi McLendon-Covey in her over the top Beverley Goldberg wig. Secondly, the bit where he's trying to be young riding a motorcycle somehow is both lost on me and painfully realistic as I've yet to see someone under the age of late 40's actually ride one of those things. Motorcycle is shorthand for midlife crisis. Young people only ride motor scooters and off-brand Vespas because that's all they can afford.
