@@kwok how were you able to write an EE in category 2 when none of the works you have written about are originally written in English? I’m a little confused, have the criteria changed since you last were in the IB?

Hey, I’m a incoming first year IB student. I’ve been wondering about which IB science to pick in. I’m stuck between Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. I’m studying economics in university, and from what I’ve heard is that math is a crucial component. I’m not that good with mathematics because I haven’t been doing much since middle school due to transferring to many schools. So I’m a bit rusty. I thought of the options; 1. English Literature A SL 2. Mandarin B HL 3. Economics HL 4. Business Management HL 5. Biology/Chemistry 6. Mathematics AA SL Option 2; 1. English Literature A 2. Mandarin B SL 3. Economics HL 4. Business Management HL 5. Physics SL 6. Mathematics HL ( IA ) Which one do you prefer? My goal is to score a 36 in the end. I would say that I’m currently sitting at the threshold of 15-18, and after solidifying my foundations to increase into 27-34.

Do we need to analyse the full body of the work for a non-literary text like for example, if I have chosen an article written by a specific author, do we also have to give a brief evaluation and explanation of the representation of the global issue in the other articles written by the specific author? 2. 5/7 in business, 5/7 in english a l&l sl, 5/7 in spanish ab initio sl, 7/7 in biology hl, 7/7 in mathematics aa sl, 6/7 in chemistry hl - these are my semester grades as of my grade 12 November midterms (was at 6 for business and english before this in class tests). I want to work up to a 39/42 and I know I can because I went from a 28/42 in the starting of grade 12 to 35/42 now in my midterms within 5 months. I want a 7/7 in business, 6/7 in English. 6/7 in Spanish and I'll be sorted. Could you please give me any tips as to how I can get my predicted scores up? I'll have one month and that is December to do so as my applications are due January 1st and I will not be able to get into the universities I'm aiming for with my grades. Maybe I can ask for some extra assignments/tests or something like that??

At the end of your summer break, which assignments did you finish? Like EE?
yes, i finished my EE by the end of summer! that was the only thing though :))
