Thanks for your reviews and the great information you provide. In July (in Canada) I bought the Pixel 8 pro 128gb through my cell provider for nothing up front and 500$ over 2 years. They now have the Pixel 9 pro 128gb at 700$ up front and 800$ over 2 years. For 1000$ difference it was not a hard decision.
vapour chamber does make a huge difference if you're using resource intensive tasks or already live in a tropical country with a high average temperature take a look at all the reviews of the pixel 9 and then the 9 pro xl the vanilla 9 doesn't have the vapour chamber, and hence it heats up a lot during 4k video recording and warnings pop up on the phone, this doesn't happen with the pros
I actually thought the 8 Pro took better, more clear pictures. The 9 Pro really dulled the details and went for more of a "beauty mode". This convinced me to get the 8 Pro.
YES!!! Ours was delayed in transit, but you can expect a comparison video on that and the 9 Pro before the holidays and then a full 6 Months Later Review of it early next year. - Josh
9 pro and pro XL do have different charging rates. I guess you won't really notice. I hate how slow it seems but the more I think about it. In every day use. Those batteries probably charge up pretty evenly and fast enough considering it's supposed to be a all day lasting phone easily.
I have a regular Pixel 6 and Android 15 should be its last major Android version so I decided to upgrade to the Pixel 9 Pro. I've always wanted a regular sized pro phone from Google because I have smaller hands 😅. On Verizon because I have the unlimited 5G plan, I was able to get $800 off the Pixel 9 Pro without a phone trade in to make it $8.55 a month for 36 months!
Has anyone observed that Pixel 9 Pro XL is visibly dimmer than Pixel 8 Pro? I had these phones side by side with adaptive brightness turned off and yet the newer phone looked dimmer while streaming HDR content.
Is it possible that, because I transferred My data from the 8 pro to the 9 pro, that the settings are functioning like the 8 pro? I'm thinking about a hard reset.
Had my pixel 8 pro for less then a month upgraded from samsung s20 fe and not really impressed with the price tag to phone ratio with the pixel 8 pro not any noticeable difference from it beside speakers and display pixel has more bugs and dull color to camera and display defently gonna be going back to samsung
If you trade in your Pix 8 Pro for the $700 trade i and get the 10% discount if you have google one, you'll end up paying $200 and also get a $300 google store credit. It's a NO BRAINER!
Design and aesthetics alone make the Google Pixel 9 Pro superior, and it also feels more premium. I've been using the Pro XL for over a week and I like it, but like every phone out there, it has some flaws depending on your needs. I have both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. They are very close and comparable to each other, and it all comes down to your preference for design and operating systems. Don’t be fooled by the numbers, which you won’t be using 99% of the time in real-life phone usage.
Thanks Josh. TBH, I don't care for the iPhone and don't, in the least, appreciate a Google Phone that mimics one. Why Google is Again copying 🍏 completely escapes me. I happen to appreciate Samsung, "Hardware Only"! I don't care for rounded corners, (they look old fashioned to me). And, the 🍏 like sides cut into your hand when holding it for a short time making it very uncomfortable. I will be waiting till next year's Pixel 10's and Google's Custom Chip. I'll be broken hearted if they "IN ANY WAY" resemble an iPhone 💔 😡. JaneLee - in Pennsylvania 9/9/24
First. Samsung copied iPhone design before Google did with the S24 and S24+, and I'm pretty sure S25 Ultra will go that way too. Second, S24 is very similar to iPhone but worse, as the sides near the screen are not rounded, so it's sharper and more unconfortable than iPhone and Pixel 9. Third, Pixel 10 and 11 will most likely keep the new Pixel 9 design with some minor changes here and there, just like Pixel 6 to 8 did. Don't expect any different. Fourth, the boxier design actually allows for more room for the internals and add better cooling or battery.
It makes more sense to compair Pixel 6 Pro vs Pixel 9 Pro XL: average user doesn't change every year and mostly prefer the new design. Also, average american user prefer iPhone design, so Pixel 8 Pro is not an option. I won't buy a Pixel 9 Pro/XL but Google has made nice improvements: Tensor and Pixel UI lack of features are not for me.
This video isn’t for people upgrading to the pixel pro 9. It’s for people that can’t make up their mind whether to buy the pixel 8 pro over the pixel pro 9.
Should I buy the 8 pro or 9 pro? Should I upgrade my 8 pro to a 9 pro? It could be either scenario. Why should the video be made for just average Americans? UA-cam is worldwide.
I'm looking forward to getting my Pixel 9 Pro that I just ordered, my first Pro model phone ever and I'll be trading in my iPhone 13 for it which I got a $400 credit for it through Verizon.
Best buy was offering $800 for iPhone 12 and $1000 for iPhone 12/13 pro as trade in for Pixel 9 pro/pro XL unlocked phones. Also $200 BB gift card as bonus
I have the Pixel 8 Pro and will never buy another Pixel. Previously had iPhone 14 and didn't have any issues. The Pixel 8 Pro they can't hear me inside the shop, I have to walk outside. I did the noise clear calling thing, no results whatsoever. Now I have my tap tap to wake on the Pixel don't work. Very annoying! 😡
There's a bit more to justify an upgrade then improved skin tones. New SOC, better performance, better battery life, better charging, new vapor chamber so it runs a lot cooler. Which also help with the others above. The overall experience is much better on the 9 Pro vs the 8 Pro.
Curious what is your opinion on people who paid $1000 for a P8p last year, is it worth dropping another $1000 for the 9 pro even? I feel like its not. Especially since the used market value of the P8P tanked hard
If we were, it would have been disclosed at the beginning of the video along with all the other disclosures. Here's a link to the post we wrote about the teampixel controversy: ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxjLxG42yHljNWQiCn97z3MdbNULeFW2Q1?si=ePmJjM6t_u4WZaRH

how much you pay monthly for phone provider??
8 pro user for a year now and i love it.
Faced any problem with the phone yet?

I'm gonna stick with my Pixel 4a until next year. I plan to get the 10 and I can't wait!!
Man anyone ever tell you you look like Zach from saved by the bell... Great video
I was thinking the same thing.
That's who he always reminds me of 😂
This is the video i was waiting for.
It seems like no one really talks about the battery life of the 9 pro non xl.
I just want to know how the battery life is
It's awesome on both xl and pro, there are plenty of reviews mentioning it.
They improved massively the battery this year. It lasts equally to iPhone 15 pro max
Cheers for the review, after this video I purchased my Pixel 8 Pro for £414 after trading in my old phone. I’m very happy with my new phone!!!
What about the haptics compared to Pixel 8
What about the vapor chamber does it make a difference in the terms of thermals and battery life.

The one I tested got hot on Roblox no joke but other then that I didn't get no heat
Excellent video...the 9 PRO XL is a total upgrade...really enjoying mine so much.
I just bought the 8 pro for 600 I came from the 6. Love it
I just ordered the P8P today
Moving on from my S22U. Bye bye samsung.
I had the the P8P early last month, It's a fantastic devices for my needs
I have the P8P which I really (still) enjoy, and prefer the design over P9P(XL), but if a decent trade offer comes up, I would consider the P9P non-XL
The design is exactly what made me route for an 8 Pro. I don't want a phone that looks as ugly as an iphone.
I actually thought the 8 Pro took better, more clear pictures. The 9 Pro really dulled the details and went for more of a "beauty mode". This convinced me to get the 8 Pro.
Sounds like you have to change the settings. Because that's not normal
THIS IS THOROUGH AND EXCELLENT!❤ I'm subscribing
Which has better video?😊
Thank you for the fantastic video btw
Any chance you're gonna review the 9 Pro Fold?

Can you do a video of Tidal Vs Spotify vs Apple music Vs UA-cam music?
1 to 2 hours of screen time is such a small amount for a current users
Has anyone observed that Pixel 9 Pro XL is visibly dimmer than Pixel 8 Pro? I had these phones side by side with adaptive brightness turned off and yet the newer phone looked dimmer while streaming HDR content.
Max brightness is achieved with adaptive brightness turned on
👍👍👍 Świetny materiał. Lubię oglądać Twoje filmy. Pozdrawiam
I dont have a pixel but if i was to get a pixel it would have to be the 9pro XL
Is it possible that, because I transferred My data from the 8 pro to the 9 pro, that the settings are functioning like the 8 pro? I'm thinking about a hard reset.
No that's not a thing

still 6 years updates left

The $300 Google Store credit is gone by the way.
The credit was only 200 and that credit is gone. Also, even with the discount you end up paying like 367 with tax, not 200.
8 pro also a great phone in all ways

Paid $300 for the 9pro after trade-in. Can't beat that
What phone did u trade?
yep good video
1-2 hours screen on time??? WTF ... In 5 years they will force us to accept 5 min SOT.
Thanks Josh.

from pixel 8 pro to 9 pro is worth it to upgrade ?
No
8 pro in swappa for $500
I don't know what Google is paying ya but the pixel 6pro looks better then the 8 and 9 pro sorry
Keep the pixel 8 for 7 years like they promised
Which Should You Buy? None! There are better and cheaper options!
That's a silly comment because many people including myself buy a phone because they want that phone wnt don't care about the price tag.
This video seems more like an ad for 9 Pro than it does a comparison.
Not a gamer but all phones except iPhone sucks at gaming, this tells a lot I guess ;)

Both are same, but price is different,I buy brand new P8P for £549 😂
Best buy has the 8 Pro on sale for 625.
The day google makes the front camera small like s24 and makes cpu faster r I'm switching
I have an 8 pro and truly want the new fold, but cant jusify 1200. The 9 pro xl doesnt seem like much of an upgrade imo. Im on the fence

The 9 looks iPhone ish big time. They really copied Apple
And isn't it ironic how everyone suddenly loves it?!
Hi ! may i know which one is better on haptic vibration?
They're both pretty equal in my experience. Couldn't tell a difference when using their haptic keyboards - josh
Please compare pixel 8 pro vs pixel 9 as price come nearly same
??? Pixwl 8 pro ia 650 euros the 9 pro xl is 1500Euro..where do you take your stats? your ass?

$240CAD to upgrade from my Pixel 6a over two years to an 8 Pro, I wasn't even looking for a new phone but that was too good an offer to turn down.
Great deal where did you get that deal?
Google pixel 9 has one 8k camera, front camera is 48 Mp, RAM is 16 Gb.
I bet he is a member of #TeamPixel
