Yeah exactly 😅 I don’t like needing to call out their crap, but it seems like I have to take that role. People will probably dismiss what I’m saying though simply because I’m expressing it all in a bold tone, some just don’t wanna listen if it “sounds toxic,” which is why we’ll likely stay in this mess for a long time. Nothing will change unless we speak up and stop investing into their products.

Well said and I agree 100%, there used to be something special about earning your armor through completing challenges. Not only has it lost all meaning now, but 343 charging customers this much is ABSURD and needs to be called out. They've done so much damage to Halo as a franchise and brand. 343 need to be taken off Halo, man.
Halo’s been changed for the worse and I believe it’ll remain this way until action like that is taken. The franchise has been run so deep into the dirt that all Microsoft hopes to do with it is have it run indefinitely to squeeze out the last remaining drops of money. If business is booming from going this route, why would a company stop doing it?
I'm glad that the game was unplayable for me on Xbox One so that I never got the chance to fully indulge and unintentionally boycott. Not surprised at all, definitely the current state of a lot of games nowadays. The competitive scene and personalities will continue to carry the franchise for me.
Gaming’s been getting overrun by business men/women who only perceive the world in numbers and their company in profits. As the years go by, more and more developers & publishers are going this disappointing route of “Do less and make more,” despite how predatory it is. It sucks man, and I so desperately wish it weren’t the case.
I tho k the battle pass system is fine, considering you buy it and you get your 1000 credits back. Considering the mp is free I don’t mind buying a 10 dollar pass one time
Yes, but “*just* not buying” isn’t so simple when there’s a couple thousand people mindlessly playing the game and consuming what’s thrown at them. For me, it’s not hard to refrain from spending money or playing the game. For you, it could be the same case. For every other person on the game though, they’re all their own case, and most of which don’t care about what’s the right decision, they’ll just do whatever they desire.

Your point about how the developers' focus is not where it's supposed to, if they just focus on cosmetics that sell, is a very good point. I think your best argument on shifting away from the pay-to-look-cool is how you had to earn it like the way it was in Halo 3. I remember grinding for hours to get an overkill in lone wolves just to get that awesome elite head.
I'm in a situation where I want to support Halo but I don't want to support the greed and overpriced cosmetics. I think I'm making the right choice by refusing to buy anything that I don't truly want. Haven't bought anything in a minute.

Supporting the game doesn't necessarily mean to spend money on it though. In the state that Halo's in and considering the financial support it already has, I think we should all help keep the franchise alive and in a healthy state by doing our part in encouraging *quality.* By that, we shouldn't be throwing anymore money into the game as it'll only give them a reason to continue their trend of cosmetics over content.

You can fix your crosshair in the MCC settings, down to the correct position. No need to play with a handicap.
