Its going to be an unreal engine switch because literally no one at 343 understands how to use the Slipspace engine. They fired every employee that worked on updating the slipspace engine and have no idea what they're doing. I would bet my bottom dollar its a port over to Unreal 5, and I believe all Halo games will be made on unreal going forward out of sheer necessity.

Happily, I got my nephew into the MCC first and he ended up hating 4 and we both had zero interest in 5 or Infinite. Both of us would rather go back and replay 3 instead.
