I was a kid in the 90s in eastern europe, after my uncle fled to NYC. At the beginning of the 90s when he was visiting back home once or twice per year, he kept bringing a new audio system everytime he came back, because he ended up giving them away to friends everytime he went back to NY. And the music he was playing was allot of Joey Beltram (I know of your existence since I was 5-6 and listening to this kind of sound from NY raves my uncle used to attend, I remember some of those parties took place in some ex church which became Limelight, I grew up dreaming of going there and feel the industrial sound at its home, never got the chance). I am glad to see your presence is still lively, the work you do is more than amazing. Glad to have grown up on this kind of sound

There was speak of the division of mellow and hardcore and I was both into house and gabberhouse but at party's there was gabber or mellow and I attended both hardcore an mellow party's when only 13 years of age. I liked the records of joey beltram at both gabber as mellow party's tracks of him would be played and the next step was becomming a bedroom Dj and I played both hardcore and also mellow and als blending the two styles together. And then, joey Beltram, operating at the border of hardcore and mellow , become's quite relevant. Common denominator for both the mellow and hardcore the populairity of the drug xtc while speed is a gabberdrug par exelance. Alldough i use it also when only listening to techno or club and techhouse.
