What a blast this truck is!
The channels 1st ever bash video, made some mistakes in the break down 🙈
Called the servo the receiver and the centre drive shaft the diff😂
Overall for the price this thing is awesome!
I had so much fun on the jumps, it didn't end to well, landed in a big puddle 🙈
With that said I enjoyed taking it all apart, cleaning it and putting it back together. Really nice truck to work on.

100% these are awesome for the money. I've had about 7 or 8....and even put one up against a Traxxas La Trax Teton at the Skate Park, I don't need to tell you which lasted the longest! hahahaha
the little Subotech/GPtoys/HBX 1/18 bashers are pretty crazy tough little things too. the suspension arms are more flexible than the WLtoys 949-979 type, so they put up with more real abuse.

Comes with a different controller now with throttle rate and steering trim and steering adjustment/fast or slow steering/black shocks and 3 wire servo,crazy bright coloured pick up truck like body.

looks a LOT like WLtoys A979(a) version, but 979 has metal outer shafts, 390 power, needs ball bearing set for the wheel hubs (center section is all ball bearings). 979 may have the advantage, fill the stock shocks with light grease and they give great damping.
The A979a is a great truck, I'm glad this budget beast is based off something so durable!
I'm very happy with it considering it's only $40!

On January 2021, Amazon charged me over £70 for the red HS 18311 dune 4x4. 2 batteries included.
Then yesterday I discovered Banggood and found these for £45 with 2 batteries. So I ordered another one.

Hi. do I need a balancing charger for these batteries? as on lipo batteries. And do the batteries have to be handled in any special way in relation to storage? Thank you :-)
It comes with a usb balance charger included.
They are lithium ion so alot safer than lipo batteries.
Always worth storing any batteries in a safe place when not in use 😁

Good for the money and nothing more. You cannot chage the engine easy, it is a 380 with some kind of adaptor. The pinion is glued, it is not water proof and with 1h of use, the wheels has play, the servo not but the servo do little. Sometimes you turn and the car goes near straight.
It is a bit slow, but despite that it is very unstable, the dampers are ... springs. But it is enjoyable. UI have fun until I discover that water is not his element and now has some problems to run, sometimes do nothing other owrks ...1 week ...1 week it have last perfect.
Research the xinlehong ,(not the brushless ones, too powerful for their own good in my opinion) they have the throttle trim , not much more expensive then these HS ones
Bad part on the xinlehongs are the 500mah batteries for the cheapest in the 1:16 scale range. But for children its not bad, low throtle power, more playtime.
I'm eyeing this up, on sale till the end of the month, cheapest brushless I've seen.

Is this car waterproof. Did it work after you drove it into the water?
Its did stop working, but I took it home and sprayed the electronics with wd40 to clean them and now it works perfectly again 😊

Nice video mate. Is it still running after that puddle accident? I learned about waterproofing the hard way, driving a WLtoys 124012 on the beach near the ocean waves.... yeah, don´t do that! xD

@@THYC hope you painted with conformal coating or similar waterproofing treatment. for boats especially essential, do the board in the steering servo, and close up all the servo case seams with a little grease (even more inside at the output shaft). nothing worse than a wet steering servo in an RC boat.
Got one of these myself. Good little trucks. Needs better tyres though!
Yes I did say in the bad points it could do with softer tyres, easy to upgrade those though 😊
