You Told Us to Come Back! Black River Reservation
Вставка

- Erin and I rode our gravel bikes through the Black River Reservation between Elyria and Lorain. We rode the Bridgeway Trail and the Black River Trail. We went for a swim at Lakefront Park and grabbed craft beers at Unplugged Brewing. This was a great trail - I'd definitely recommend trying out this paved bike path. Cracking trails. Thank you.
Great job. Fun trail.
Thanks for another great video 🚲
So glad I found this channel, I truly love your trail videos. It's fascinating to watch you just take a casual stroll and give commentary on all the ins and outs and the local small-town details. It's something I like to do myself, just on the other side of the planet. And you make it feel so familiar. Amazing.
Thanks so much!
I'm from sheffield lake ,ride to the lorain pier, awesone
Super. Nice part of the world you have there, maybe even close to living the dream.
I like these chill rides. Gotta get my wife to to ride with me sometimes.
Those long bridges are cool! Looks like a nice change of pace after your bike tour.
It was perfect.
Looks like a great day of riding! Cheers 🍻
Thanks so much!
A ride and a swim - nothing beats it!
AWESOME video. 📹 Love all the views you showed. Bridge after bridge was awesome. Next time I go to Lorain to visit family I’ll have to take my bike and explore.
Thanks!
You should for sure - totally worth it ride.
I almost hit you up because I was just in Detroit but we finished the gig early and just went home. (I didn't drive)
Looked like a great day! Nice job. We will all be thinking about these swim days in a few months.
100%
The channel is great! If your coming to CT, I can give you a Trek frame, size 57cm, I live near Colinsville.
Thanks! We should be back for Nutmeg around October 26th
Great vid as always Tim.. Hope your all well.. 🍻 👍
Looks nice Thanks
Tim, so cool you're checking out more of the N,C.I,T. Slight correction, it's Black River Reservation, named after the might Black River that feeds into Lake Erie.. You called it correctly in the video, just titled wrong. You're cool 😎
Woops! I thought I fixed that! Thanks for pointing it out.
I think I’m going to ride the rest of the NCIT on my way to Michigan in a couple weeks.
I'm more like Erin on bike fit,I'll adjust as I go if needed
I do not think there are pedestrians those stroads 😂... Nice trail anyways
I rode those trails last year to do some mountain bike bike packing photography and I came back with some really nice waterfall shots they have out there
Unfortunately it took me quite a bit of time I didn't have nothing on my back I had way a lot on my back like camera gear
Hammock tarp and underquilt that was a simple stuff that was quite light The camera equipment not so much tripod Pentax k70 three different lenses or four tripod filters
Micro-adjusters and Macro-absorbers 😀
Just some catchy terms I read someplace . . . I’m definitely in the latter myself.
I always wonder if there is a bike fit nirvana 🤔but since I have no major comfort issues, I lack the motivation to go down that rabbit hole.
Yeah, Erin's seat height looked a tad high the first few mins of the vid.
Looks a lovely part of the world in full summer time.
You guys ever been to/ridden in Europe?
I’ve been to but not ridden.
Amazing to see the extent of cycling infrastructure.....does it get much daily use?
I would guess it does - but this weekend day was the only time I've ever been there.
@@TimFitzwaterAh, unfair question. But your video indicates a properly thought out trail that flows well. So I assumed it would be popular and busier on a weekend.
@10xZ00M it feels like it could work for certain commuting- but bike commuting is still not very common in this part of the country. So far more of a recreational trail at this point I would say.
Love your videos man! I’m really curious about gravel bikes. Do you have any advice for a decent entry level bike I can research? The options out there are over whelming and seem so pricy.
Thanks!
Everyone's definition of pricey is very different. If you want to buy a new bike I don't think I would want something under the $1000-1200 range. Below that you just are getting something that you will have to keep putting money into.
Fairdale makes reasonable inexpensive steel bikes that can be upgraded later. I would also look into the lower-end Surly's.
I do think used is by far the best bang for your buck but if you don't know what you are looking for that can be tough. I think its worth going to a local bike shop that isn't all about racing bikes. I even think it would be worth making a decent drive to one if there isn't something near by.
Check out the Bike Reviews on Pathless Pedaled - he reviews budget gravel bikes.
Probably just my imagination but in looking at the bottom of Erin's pedal stroke her foot seems really close to the ground. Love the view of the lake!
Gravel bikes typically have low BB’s.
Yeah -!getting to the Lake was what we wanted to do!
She is so beautiful, I do understand she make you make these videos.
Wonderful trail for sure.
@@TimFitzwaterExactly, and must say you are a wonderful story teller, and you make it seem so effortless.
Sorry But you talked to much.
I enjoyed the trial.
You comment too much.
