Hey Jeb - great video and an amazing flight experience! The seat is certainly a step up from the retro cabin on their A340. Those windows look good but I think you, Paul Stewart and I need to discuss over a bottle of that Swiss whiskey!
Really like Mr. Brooks' channel. Unlike some other flight you tubers, he actually tells a story of the hard and soft product, the service and food, and he adds in a touch of good old American Southern Charm. Stopped watching Sam Chui as I believe he went 'Hollywood'. By contrast, Mr Brooks offers a really awesome, honest and wholesome experience, as if you're there with him. This is what the new standard of flight reviews should be.
I am also 12 years old and have a passion for planes. Glad I have found someone who is my age and has a passion for planes. In my class I am the only one who loves plane.
Very well done Jeb! So nice to see you get to try one of the best first class products in the sky at the moment. And I totally can’t wait to see how you and Bose work together. 😁
A couple of years ago I flew from San Francisco to London on British Air. Expecting to be in Economy for the long flight. To my surprise I was bumped to to first class. Wow what an experience that was!
I flew SWISS's A330-300 from chicago to zurich and the flight was the best i ever had! It was soo smooth and the food was very good aswell. But the landing was soo smoothe that it felt like I haven't even landed untill i felt the brakes toggled. I am soo happy you reviewed SWISS because its my favourite airline! Keep up the great work!
Wow! That was surely an impressive flight. Lounges looked amazing! How I would love a nice view out of all 3 of those huge windows! Thanks for taking us along on your amazing journey Jeb!
It's been a couple of years since i've flown Swiss, but not much seems to have changed, when they are good they are darn good, there is something about the reserved Swiss cabin over the bling of say EK. ZRH is a great airport, how I wish LHR could be a 1/10th as good.
It would be perfect if SWISS offered caviar in First Class. When flying SWISS, be careful when choosing your flight so that you don't end up on one of their ancient Airbus 340-300 with their very old first class product. Although I hear that they are being refitted.

Whilst watching this amazing first class experience and that venison which looked fantastic, I am eating an apple and choosing a seat on Ryanair. Not jealous at all.
Thanks for your awesome report about our First class! On behalf of my company please do accept our apologies for the little inconvenient (forceful service, bad quality headphone...) I will forward immediately your imputs. We are looking forward to meeting you again any time soon Mr Brooks!
I was eating breakfast when I was watching the amenity kit segment and when you put the Ricola in there I shot some orange juice out my nose both in fright and laughter!
I flew LH last year from Frankfurt to Singapore. The first time I have ever flown anything other than economy and it was amazing! Doing it again in May and can't wait to do it again and to see your trip report on it. I feel truly blessed to be able to travel this way.
Just took this same exact flight today: Swiss Zürich to Hong Kong. However it was in economy. 😅 Very nice flight overall. I was able to comfortably sleep for 8 of the 12 hours of the flight. Between Swiss and their competitor Cathay Pacific for this route. Overall quality is the same however there are a few key differences. Swiss has a 3-4-3 configuration in economy whereas Cathay Pacific has a 3-3-3 configuration on the 777 which would offer you more room in your seat. I was comfortable on the Swiss 777. Also please note I did read that Cathay Pacific was planning to change to a 3-4-3 configuration on the 777; I do not know the status of where that’s at. The other notable difference is that Swiss does not serve an Asian meal in economy but the same could be said about Cathay Pacific as they typically don’t serve a western inspired meal in economy. Swiss also did not really have much language support for Cantonese/Chinese speakers. They played prerecorded announcements in I believe Cantonese. I don’t think they had a single Cantonese speaking crew member on board. I also agree with you that they could have more on the entertainment system. It’s enough but it’s not a large selection compared to the one on Cathay Pacific or Emirates. Overall though had a great flight and I would recommend Swiss.
Great work usual from Jeb. But what I appreciate even more is his sincerity, his attitude of gratitude and his respect for his viewers and readers. Keep going! : )
That's a good point you made about the food differences between your two Swiss flights you've taken. Food is typically always better on flights departing from the airlines hub city as opposed to returning to it. This is because the airline itself has more control over the catering for the flight. Also a lot of airlines pack the food on for both the outbound and inbound flight so food that is perishable typically isn't as good returning to the airlines hub city. This is particularly a problem with salads and it would make sense that it would be a problem with fish too.
I really like SWISS' take on first class. Rather than the gold on gold style of the Middle East carriers, they have a ultra modern approach which I love! I always have said SWISS should be the 5 Star airline in the Lufthansa Group, not Lufthansa themselves 👀
6:15 Hahahaha What you ate is as you experienced yourself, a sort of spicy jam. It is traditionally put on a tiny plate or spoon and it serves as a dip for the cheese. Its best with cheese, especially Swiss cheese because it has a very strong flavour in comparison to American cheese. The sweat and spicy mixes with the strong flavour of Swiss cheese and makes it a lot more enjoyable and delicious.
Not a whiskey drinker but I were it would hard to leave. At around 6.10 with the cheese you would have been served a fruit paste which goes with the cheese! Often fig paste...maybe apricot...great with cheese and biscuits. 22 out of 25 is pretty good. Another great and honest flight review Jeb. And they must be an awfully efficient airline being Swiss!!
Another awe inspiring video. Sir Brooks, in regards to service, when you compare with most US base carriers. Swiss is far beyond the competition. Thank you for talking us on the journey.
*hi Jeb. You are always excellent. Your comments are always amazing which show your passion for travel. So I will love to recommend you to travel to Pakistan and check out its hospitality and airlines.
