I love Singapore Airlines and their cabin crews. I flew with them business class from Vietnam to Houston via Manchester 2 weeks ago and it was an awesome flight. The crews are attentive, professional, and friendly. I was waiting to use the lavatory and was able to have a good conversation with the crews. At the end of my flight they gave me some souvenirs. It was a really nice gesture.
I flew Suites Class JFK-FRA. The $2G surcharge from B Class to Suites was worth not having to lounge in JFK’s Swiss port. Instead I had access to Virgin Club. You forgot to mention the two storage pockets with plastic liners. I asked what these small storage pockets were for; little garbage, i.e. used toothpicks, etc. How was this NOT an enclosed suite? There are doors and the aisle “windows” close as well. I totally agree Singapore’s F class food is the best. They, as most other international F Class Airlines, if available, let you sleep in the unused suite across the aisle. Love that! Nice video!
I experienced this older Singapore Airlines suite at Tokyo Narita outbound to LAX. Quite the design -- the work of a yachtbuilder, I understand. However, the new SQ A380 suites upstairs are THE better product and, like you, I can't wait to try one. I saw this SQ jet at JFK outbound to Frankfurt as I was awaiting (at the new TWA Hotel, natch) the Emirates 10:30 am A380 outbound to Dubai then onward to Mauritius. Like you, we Southerners love our jets. Can't wait until they rush back into BHM which, at last brush, was as quiet as the mice at Piedmont Triad. Cheers, Suites Style!
Singapore is one of my go to carriers for Asia travels but on this particular route, there’s no contest. My choice is Lufthansa 👍🏻. ❤️ to get to the airport early enough to really enjoy the First Class Terminal and start my flight/s off on a good note. Being chauffeured to the plane in a Audi A8 or Porsche is awesome. Oh yeah, when I fly Singapore, I usually “book the cook” 😋
I appreciate your sense of gratitude for having this opportunity to fly in an A380 First Class cabin. For most people this would be the flight of a lifetime. SQ has always been my favorite airline since the '80's when I lived in Asia for ten years and discovered them. Looks like they are still exceptional and especially in their cabin service. Unfortunately, knowing about their new First Class suites, I would definitely prefer that over the older version. Though I must admit the older version is still spectacular! Thanks for a wonderful review! I truly envy you for being able to enjoy this level of service. As always, take care and Happy Travels! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
What a humble and genuine guy you are Jeb! Great video. Currently saving all my points fly with Singapore to Australia. Hope I manage to save up enough for first. No doubt this video made me even more excited!
This was by far your best video you did, not to mention the flight and the experience by itself. What made in my opinion this video so great is the attention to detail and the music to it which for an Asian airlines was just perfect. The flight delay came in handy to experience this trip even in more deeper detail. Overall your best video and report so far. Best regards
I’ve just completed the trip of a lifetime with SQ in Business Class 😍 LHR - SIN (A380) SIN - PER (A350-900) - PER - BNE (Virgin codeshare 737-800), BNE - SIN (A350-900), SIN - LHR (777-300ER) - I saved up and paid for it myself - and watched loads of flight reviews before I went; I was totally impressed with SQ - the service was amazing. The A380 was tops for comfort and IMO a First Class product; the 777 had probably the best bed option but the tray table was tight for space. I found the A350 seat tight with too much “pod” which was a bit claustrophobic. But all in all, I thought SQ were absolutely great - the food, quality of service, friendliness and professionalism of the crew were outstanding! If you get a chance, def try SQ
I flew with Singapore Airlines, Frankfurt-Singapore-Brisbane and Adelaide-Singapore-Frankfurt, a few years ago, and that was just an (almost!) perfect experience! Why only almost? Because on the returntrip from Singapore to Frankfurt, I had planned it, so I would be flying with the A380, but, as it turned out, they had changed the flightplans the week before, leaving me with an pretty old A340...major bummer!! I still haven’t flown with the A380! 😢
Probably incase it takes a few takes to get it right, he doesn't wanna be drinking from a half empty glass, or end up being drunk because he can't get the right angle or lighting haha
Greetings from Boston...flew with my wife few months ago from Newark to Singapore and back in business class..almost 18.5 hours flight..Great experience considering the fact that it is the longest commercial flight in the world now..but we have flown Emirates as well as Lufthansa business as well ..we liked the food choices as well as the Entertainment from Emirates better, then Lufthansa followed by Singapore...Surprisingly no amenity kits given out to passengers in business class in the Singapore airlines .. but will rate the staff from Singapore and Emirates a tie. In my opinion, Singapore needs to work a little harder to catch up with Emirates and Qatar airlines.
Nice video Jeb!!! I have flown on this flight maybe 10 times and I've got to say: all the things you liked about it and your review on this flight was super entertaining and accurate!! Great job as always!
That's a pair of Bang and Olufsen - these speakers used in Audi. What did you expect? Also, there're quite a few headphones better than Bose QC-20, even QC-35 II is far better, as well as the Sony 1000XM3.
I've flown on an A380 once, from Singapore to Zürich on Singapore Airlines on economy. Comfortable, but not as comfortable as economy on Singapore's A350. The Singapore flight attendants are the best! (Also want to point out that the approved inflight headphones are Bang & Olufsen, a Scandinavian company :-D )
@@keneferdinand9761 It was part of a round trip from Norway to Australia, so I don't know what the price would have been for that segment alone. But the whole journey OSL-ARN-SIN-MEL and MEL-SIN-ZRH-OSL was around 9200 Norwegian kroner.

But Chris, Air France hasn’t installed the great new lie-flat business modules upstairs on the 380. I had to tough out a flight to JFK from CDG in the old ones, 2x2, with the funny little reading lights on flex sticks. Such suffering!
Thanks heaps Jeb for the amazing review. We can't wait to get to the US the "long way"! Was considering putting a review together but I don't think I'd be able to match up to yours!
Jeb, great video! I took that flight albeit in Business Class but was one of the most memorable flights I’ve ever taken. Now I know, thru you, what it’s like to be in those suites that I was only able to see from afar! Happy flying!
You will have a great flight with Singapore Airlines no matter what class you are in!! I flew in their premium economy on this route in 2015 and it was hands down the best service I've ever experienced. I will always choose Singapore if available!
I’m very disappointed to learn SQ isn’t running 380 equipment between FRA and JFK featuring the new suites. In a perfect world, every aircraft would be kitted out identically, but it’s just not doable. I was going to take this flight just to experience the new upstairs suites but will delay until another trip. I have enjoyed Singapore’s 380s many times between LAX and Tokyo Narita, and between Changi and Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai. I toured the old downstairs suites on a layover at NRT and found them a good bit sterile and utilitarian, especially when compared with the boffo new configuration. (They were, nevertheless, the product of a yacht designer!) Alas, I’m looking forward to the day when I fly the upstairs suites, and - being a fellow southerner - I’m waiting for Jeb to drop out of the sky in Birmingham and whisk me away to somewhere fun. Glad You’ve tried the new Emirates suites too, JB, but I was pretty happy with the old ones from Moscow to Dubai and, a few days later, onward to Shanghai. It’s a big old world out there! Glad a W&L man is making his mark on the world!
I’m flying my kids from Fresno to RDU to go see there granny and Pa. We take the trip twice a year, hope to see you one day in the skies. We love your channel. Take care
The one thing I find personally about flying First Class that it’s incredibly lonely and feel very isolated. I know a lot of people will like that to rest/work etc but after 10-12hrs being shut away in a suite without having any real conversation with anyone I find I get very bored.
Looks like an amazing flight, phenomenal seat, food, and service. I can only imagine this flight would set the bar high for any future flights taken. Love watching your travels and reviews!
haha nice Jeb! You were so excited that your whole body (and camera) shook with emphasis during the intro! haha The lounge looked OK but it certainly wasn't up to first class standards.
I just did the exact same flight but in Business! Flew into Frankfurt 2 weeks ago and arrived yesterday, only to be met with a 5 hour delay on top of the 3 hour layover for my flight to Boston!
I recently flew on an airline that was not Delta, which is my favorite airline. While taxiing, we passed the terminal where the Delta planes were and I started to hide because I did not want Delta to see me on another airline’s plane. I felt like I was cheating on Delta.😔 Anyhow, the shot of a Delta plane taking off while you were taxiing reminded me of that.😊
