This was my 27th outing with the mini boat. I put it in the Willamette river, which is home to some of the coolest floating homes. There are also some pretty cool spots to put around in and the occasional speed-boat will produce some fun sized wakes.

Small waters hold big adventures for tiny boats. These look like a blast to putter around in.
Have you considered putting a bigger stronger engine in?
I can see that the range gets shorter but I can see myself cutting through the small waves of a lake.

I didn't design this boat for speed. It's just a simple flat-bottom cruiser. It would take an excessive amount of power (I'd guess at least 10 HP, or 7.5Kw) to get it up on plane, and even then I doubt it would perform well at those speeds.
Just have fun bobbing over the wakes instead of cutting through them.
;-)
If I were building something for speed, I'd start with a jetski / seadoo hull.
