I watched both the episodes and i would like to congratulate whole team to bring this amazing content to us specially Nishant Dhaiya, i personally belong to Charkhi Dadri but spent most of my life in punjab due to father's government job position.... both of the episodes were so relatable to me..... coz it was really a challenge for me as i was growing to get know more about my identity as a Haryanavi coz even after living 14 years in punjab doing all my study there i always felt apart from the crowd.... it's very true that Haryana is a separate identity and we as haryanvi should take this responsibility to research more about our roots and keep out legacy living by passing it generation to generation.... coz as we all know you can't learn haryanvi you have to born in this culture to adapt it......i just hope best for you guys and our state. As a Punjabi Hindu whose family ‘migrated’ from West Punjab to Delhi in 1947 - I honestly feel much much closer to Haryanvis than to Punjabis (from Punjab). Also since my surname is a very common surname in Haryana (and not a common surname in Punjab), people have always confused me for being a Haryanvi - so maybe that’s another reason why 😅😂
In united punjab Hindus were treated as unequal. On formation of Haryana again Punjabi Hindus were n are treated as second class Haryanvi. Punjabi Hindus in both the states are ill treated even now

I agree that casteis in Haryana not as bad as Rajasthan. But it still exists and needs to be removed. I’m 38 and I remember how government jobs were predominantly given to Jaats. Even when a non-jaat had money for the politician’s bribes, opportunities were not given. I had to leave all my family and friends behind at age of 20 to move to another country to make a life. Now have made a life but it’s a lonely existence without friends a grew up with.

This is a great and insightful discussion. I got to learn so many new things about my state and culture. Somehow Punjabi Khatris, who have more than a 1000 year of history in ambala karnal region and who have so much contribution in growth, history and identity of Haryana are never a part of the discussion and excluded from the story narration.
They are discussed in Gurgaon and Faridabad. I've got many khatri friends and they have also left speaking in Punjabi. Entrie Haryana (Haryanvi ethnic group and Punjabi ethnic group) have left their mother tongue and prefer Hindi to their mother tongue.

And khatris apart from the tribals are one of the oldest communities in Jammu, Punjab, Haryana, Pakistani Punjab, UP and Himachal region

Good discussion. Being from Jalandhar and worked in Haryana at a key Govt position ; I have extensively travelled this state. My observations are as follows: 1. There is a healthy competition between the two states. 2. Haryana has an economic edge due to proximity to Delhi. 3. Punjab has more liberalised society and better HDIs 4. The caste is taking a backseat in Punjab; slightly better than Haryana 5. Punjab youth does not confine itself to national boundaries whereas Haryana youth has aligned the self with future of India. 6. Haryana youth has better killing instinct, they are performing better in national competitions 7 Punjab is much better in medical, education and entertainment sector 8. Per capita comparison is useless. People who are not aware about Punjab think in per capita terms. 60 percent youth is NRI and minimum remittances per family is 1 lakh per month. 9. Haryana is having more youthfulness, honesty and sincerity. 10. Punjab has better adaptability.
While comparing Haryana to Bihar and Bengal, you have to consider the fact that those areas were under direct Company rule since start and then British rule for a much longer period

In Odisha, we used to have a culture of Pala where different stories, either from folklore or purana, are sang by a led performer and followed by other performers. This is nearly dead now. With education, we developed a demeaning view towards these folk art forms 😢

I watched both the episodes and i would like to congratulate whole team to bring this amazing content to us specially Nishant Dhaiya, i personally belong to Charkhi Dadri but spent most of my life in punjab due to father's government job position.... both of the episodes were so relatable to me..... coz it was really a challenge for me as i was growing to get know more about my identity as a Haryanavi coz even after living 14 years in punjab doing all my study there i always felt apart from the crowd.... it's very true that Haryana is a separate identity and we as haryanvi should take this responsibility to research more about our roots and keep out legacy living by passing it generation to generation.... coz as we all know you can't learn haryanvi you have to born in this culture to adapt it......i just hope best for you guys and our state.

As a Punjabi Hindu whose family ‘migrated’ from West Punjab to Delhi in 1947 - I honestly feel much much closer to Haryanvis than to Punjabis (from Punjab).

I agree that casteis in Haryana not as bad as Rajasthan. But it still exists and needs to be removed. I’m 38 and I remember how government jobs were predominantly given to Jaats. Even when a non-jaat had money for the politician’s bribes, opportunities were not given. I had to leave all my family and friends behind at age of 20 to move to another country to make a life. Now have made a life but it’s a lonely existence without friends a grew up with.

This is a great and insightful discussion. I got to learn so many new things about my state and culture. Somehow Punjabi Khatris, who have more than a 1000 year of history in ambala karnal region and who have so much contribution in growth, history and identity of Haryana are never a part of the discussion and excluded from the story narration.
They are discussed in Gurgaon and Faridabad. I've got many khatri friends and they have also left speaking in Punjabi. Entrie Haryana (Haryanvi ethnic group and Punjabi ethnic group) have left their mother tongue and prefer Hindi to their mother tongue.
Khatris are migrated people of partition from West Punjab (pakistan)

And khatris apart from the tribals are one of the oldest communities in Jammu, Punjab, Haryana, Pakistani Punjab, UP and Himachal region

Good discussion. Being from Jalandhar and worked in Haryana at a key Govt position ; I have extensively travelled this state. My observations are as follows:
1. There is a healthy competition between the two states.
2. Haryana has an economic edge due to proximity to Delhi.
3. Punjab has more liberalised society and better HDIs
4. The caste is taking a backseat in Punjab; slightly better than Haryana
5. Punjab youth does not confine itself to national boundaries whereas Haryana youth has aligned the self with future of India.
6. Haryana youth has better killing instinct, they are performing better in national competitions
7 Punjab is much better in medical, education and entertainment sector
8. Per capita comparison is useless. People who are not aware about Punjab think in per capita terms. 60 percent youth is NRI and minimum remittances per family is 1 lakh per month.
9. Haryana is having more youthfulness, honesty and sincerity.
10. Punjab has better adaptability.
West up and haryana should be two different states to be named as east haryana and west Haryana

In Odisha, we used to have a culture of Pala where different stories, either from folklore or purana, are sang by a led performer and followed by other performers. This is nearly dead now. With education, we developed a demeaning view towards these folk art forms 😢

There are two major issues betwin Punjab and Haryana first Chandigarh & second river water ,Chandigarh was built because Lahore was lost which was not just an administer capital but was also culture capital ,had Haryana built a capital of their own in central Haryana it could have developed a Haryanvi culture with their own administrive set up & as far as river water is concerned it should have settled as reparian law which is followed by international international & in other states in our country yes extra water should be given to nabouring states these are main reasons for unrest in Punjab
