Prince knew how to switch it up in his music of any genres. When it came to the current era. When it was the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's and sadly 2010's. This song "Space" in the Universal Love Remix does have that Jazzy, Hip Hop, R&B, Mellow, and Laid Back feel to it. Damn this man was ultra multi-talented. So was James Brown, David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. This also has a TLC Vibe to it as well.
I was one of the fortunate people that got to talk to him and or just be in his presence throughout his career after the Emancipation album and on. Everything you thought of him..he was. I compare him to a Rainbow they come and go but everytime you see them you get starry eyed and hopeful. I drove around for about 6 months with this the only CD in the player, and I never got tired of it during that time. Several versions on this EP... and a remix that's really great too; find all the versions because this is the cool one, but there are way funkier versions too...
This is my fave Prince song ever, from his most underrated album. While I was happy that it was released as a single and had these remixes, none can compare to the original album version, both in production and lyrics, IMO. It is true romance. I hope someone uploads it as well.

This song "Space" in the Universal Love Remix does have that Jazzy, Hip Hop, R&B, Mellow, and Laid Back feel to it. Damn this man was ultra multi-talented. So was James Brown, David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. This also has a TLC Vibe to it as well.

I was one of the fortunate people that got to talk to him and or just be in his presence throughout his career after the Emancipation album and on. Everything you thought of him..he was. I compare him to a Rainbow they come and go but everytime you see them you get starry eyed and hopeful. He was mystical and magical but I also grabbed his shoulder once to the dismay of his security but that let me know he was also human. I miss him everyday.
