- Welcome back to my first Halo 2 Anniversary mod showcase! In this video, we will be checking out an overhaul of the campaign level Uprising. Uprising Evolved completely revamps the AI spawns on Uprising, featuring a starting lance of Spec Ops soldiers, Jackal allies, randomly selected Elite Specialists, increased ally and enemy numbers and much more! Play Uprising in a whole new way and experience the iconic Great Schism!

There was actually a Drone Sniper class in the pre alpha version of Halo 4 but it was cut. There are real 343 concept artworks of them on google. They’re really cool looking

This is a neat mod. There were actually some Jackals that did side with the Elites during the Great Schism, but most of the Jackals stayed loyal to Truth and the Brutes. It's nice to see some good Jackals on your side for once since they're usually with the Brutes. Too bad we didn't have some Grunts or Hunters fighting on our side in Halo 3, it would've been nice; maybe some Grunts or Hunters could've fought by your side on the Ark.
I’m lowkey hoping we see that as a mod for 3
Especially if these Covenant have some differences to show they’re with us (imagine Hunters with Flamethrowers or Jackals with ODST symbols)
James Burgess, Gamecheat13 did a video one time with an AI Battle of the Great Schism; the modded Jackals that were your allies had their shield color as green instead of red/blue, and the allied Hunters were the color green instead of navy blue, so it is possible.

Mario The grunts in that video also wore UNSC helmet with the higher ranking ones wearing command caps (what Sergeant Johnson wears).
Ruby has made a rebalanced mod for halo 3 that adds more friendly elites, friendly grunts, and friendly hunters.
i would have given all the ally jackals beam rifles and just watch them do all the work

im a simple guy, i see an entire groups of elites, jackals and grunts fighting together in the great schism and i NUT.

I love this mission and always wished that there were more allied troops, would been hella cool for there to be more enemies throughout the mission but either way this mod looks great

This mod make this mission more fun and tells that some of the fight against their true enemies ✊
I wish the game set up these large AI fights by default, instead of giving you like 15 allies total vs like 300 enemies per level, even if it was just ocassional or in the backround, would've made the whole game feel like a proper war.
It probably would have made the OG Xbox burst into flames.

Always wanted to see a mod like this would love to play it its awesome my only suggestion
would have been increase grunt allies kept jackals as just enemies and added more drone enemies I just wish halo 3 had stayed like how halo 2 ended and left the covenant with just just jackals drones and brutes they could of added drinols instead of hunters and introduced tough boss drones
This is my favorite mission in Halo2 in the story, taking revenge on the brutes was satisfying.
Halo 2 is technically a stealth game because arbiters camo
Of course not. It's actually an action game with visibility tactical advantage. The sounds and lighting and other stuff remain as action game oriented, in contrast to a real stealth game.
I imagine a mission with ex-covenant (all creature) and master chief in Halo 3.
Man I really wish they would've included the variety of allies during the campaign this is what I always wanted and I never knew!

This looks very easy. It's a cool concept for sure. I just think the spawn scale should be increased for enemies. Perhaps giving brutes more vehicle spawns too. I am impressed by the mod I just think it would be cool to see it be more difficult for the player.
The mod creator actually updated it the day after I posted this with balance updates. I also only played on Normal difficulty, so it wasn't super challenging lol.
The newer version of the mod is balanced for higher difficulties because I realised this version doesn't require much player interaction at all, though it makes for a great spectacle. This version of the mod is still available for download, it's now called the 'Chaos Edition'. So you can basically choose if you want to play the mission starting with either a huge army or a small squad

This mod is simple. Changes up encounters. I wish u wernt limited on how much u can do In a mod on mcc. That's why halo custom ed still rules. The epic mods

there should be a better way to differentiate between jackal enemies and allies. Perhaps give Ally jackals only carbines? Or perhaps to show solidarity to the elites they only use plasma rifles.

During the vehicle segment when you get outside, perhaps you should put a warthog near where those two ghosts are parked (since the brutes have an encampment with stolen human weapons and equipment, why wouldn't they steal vehicles too?)
Overall: EXCELLENT mod. It definitly shows the uncertainty of who are your enemies and who are your foes in the first hours of the great schism.
Hi, thanks for your feedback! I did actually consider a lot of the things that you've suggested here - I decided to keep all Jackals looking the same to maintain the illusion that they literally switch sides the moment they see you, so unfortunately I couldn't have them wielding different weapons or having different colours
Also, unfortunately the Warthog vehicle tag is actually completely missing from Uprising as it is never seen in that level. So far I haven't experimented with porting tags over to other levels yet, but if I get round to it in the future I'll definitely give it a try!
Could give ally jackals blue shields and enemy jackals yellow shields.
Finally elite majors honor guards grunt heavy jackal sniper as allies
wow I came across your channel and it is incredible I subscribe and I leave my like the level uprising was always my favorite level for having many allies on which I would have liked because more an intense battle like the one you show but with more difficulty for the player I would like to play it as you did this is amazing and thanks the one who made this mod nor did I install it haha well that's great a like and a subscription
There are absolutely friendly Jackals I'd have blasted with 0 hesitation.

And here's me thinking this mission couldnt get any better, I still don't understand why grunts and hunters helped you but then decided not to in halo 3 when the elites worked with the humans
Because of gameplay, imagine playing halo 3 but you don't fight grunts and hunters, you're left with fighting Brutes, jackals and drones... But I would have loved a big on the ark with alied grunts elites and hunters fighting other grunts, hunter and brutes
I take it the "Anniversary" part was a gimmick? This may be with the MCC where H2A debuted, but what was displayed was original H2.
It's technically H2A since it's in MCC, and this was the first Halo 2 mod I covered so I just called it that. Unfortunately my recording was being super choppy with anniversary graphics on, so I had to play in OG graphics.
So besides adding some enemies and some allies is there anything unique about this mod? All I can see for differences are more people on screen...
It adds allied jackals and drones to the arbiter’s team, and enemy grunts to the brute’s team, which subsequently makes the level closer to book canon.

This mod is its own legendary mode on the campaign but if you go on legendary the game is going to be stupidly hard if you play on it😐
Did you just increase the size of the squads using assembly or did you create new squad blocks.

Is there a way to tell from enemy jackal to friendly jackal?
Really want to play this but I get a fatal crash from mcc whenever the level is loading with this mod installed(both with 1.2 and 1.2.1). I downloaded it from moddb since on nexusmods it says it's hidden when I click on that link even though I have an account.

I thought the jackels were going to have different shields, ie white for friendly, yellow for foe. Would be great if the creator could modifiy a red colour for foe but cool nontheless.

I don't think it is unfortunately. Mods break after each MCC update and this mod is pretty old.
I want more allies too, but this is just ridiculous. it it ruins the flow of the level & the overall premise.

Probably the graphics being too much for your computer. Halo 2 classic graphics are from 2004 and much easier to run

Really wished somebody else played this mod, For people who can’t play awesome things like this, The guy played it way too serious smh.... Most of the time we can’t even Admired the Mod & new allies due to the guy trying so hard -___-
Care to explain how I played it too serious? I could have gotten through the level in half the time but I thought I slowed down enough to show off some of the changes.
