My first failed battery after 17 months of new ownership. I rarely use the bike, maybe 2-3 times a week, indoor parking garage. I rode it, parked it, was working fine. 4 days later, dead. Weird though... my battery shows 30.2 volts but button shows nothing. When I press the button, voltage drop to 3.0 volts. Eskute says battery failure, but they're giving me a good-bloke discount for new battery. Waiting on price. It's a shame they designed it in a way to make serving difficult. Inside both end caps, the end panels are glued shut. Issue likely just a circuit board, yet they don't want the old battery returned. Still, love the bike and quality. Bought mine on sale for £900. Will keep old battery in case I can repair in future. Cheers!
Yes. £159. Can only pay via PayPal to a Gmail account. Talk about a shady way to provide warranty service or parts, but it does appear to check out okay. But now I have to pay for a battery I may not receive until Christmas as all are backordered. They said the end of this month, but you know how that goes. After more research, I carefully disassembled the battery and located the BMS board that many state is the problem. For only £20-£25, it worth a try. The Samsung batteries and their condition are in top shape. I'm not yet sure what the board's part number is yet, but I'm unsoldering the old board this weekend. Now I'm going to have to become a certified Li-ion battery reconditioner person. Bloody hell! @@StopTheStinkTV
@@jayshah1165 I was advised not to mess with it myself. Eskute EVENTUALLY agreed to either repair or replace it and I’m sending it to WheelieWorld for them to take a look.
I am having the same issue and just emailed Eskute for support (I guess today is an UK holiday). My warranty ran out, hoping I can get the same deal and shipped to the US... the battery goes for $360-400 USD on their website.
