The Panthers have not faced the penalty killing, power play, and offensive power of the Oilers. How quickly people forget how well Ottinger played in the previous two series. The Oilers are faster than the Panthers and are capable of skating around much of Florida's vaunted hitting prowess. The fact remains that these two teams almost never see each other in the regular season so we really do not know how they will fare against one another until they actually play the games. The Panthers are better in goal, I'll agree with that. But Skinner is young and, while he has a lot to learn, he's getting better game in and game out. The Oilers' penalty kill has been excellent and seems to run on a team concept as opposed to laying so much responsibility on the goalie. This is a necessity due to Skinner's youth and inexperience. Barring injury, I see these teams as a saw-off on the penalty kill. But the Panthers have not seen a power play this explosive in any of their three previous series and Bobrovski will be tested at a higher level against Edmonton. Before the start of the Dallas series everybody was speaking of the Dallas team depth and DeBoer's penchant for running four lines. I think Edmonton surprised a lot of people with the quality of their third and fourth line play, not perfect but certainly adequate. The Oilers have better team depth than most people would credit them having. Include me in that number. It will be an interesting series, regardless who wins. Will it be a Panthers runaway or an Oilers runaway or will it be a six or seven game barn burner? We'll find out in the next three weeks. One aside I've taken from these playoffs so far; maybe Vancouver is a lot better team than anyone is giving them credit for. The Canucks certainly played the Oilers tougher and closer than either team in the other two series the Oilers played.
Barkov is the most complete center in hockey? You guys just rooting for Eastern conference teams huh? The oilers not only beat talbot, silovs and otter, they beat the kings, canucks and stars. Didn't you guys all say the stars were going to run through the oilers?
I really hope the Oilers win it - any Canadian team winning it is LONG overdue. I won't be convinced there isn't something funny going on behind the scenes until a Canadian team finally wins it again. Having said that, my prediction is the Panthers - probably in 7 but it might not go that long. I just can't see them losing in the final two years in a row. They've really surprised me - I didn't think they'd make it back to the final this year but they're better than I thought. Hopefully the Oilers will be able to do the same and make it back again next year. Their odds will probably be better then.
They will need to score at even strength and get more than 10 shots on goal to beat Florida, I want a Canadian team to win, but Florida looks very good and look a lot more tight than the Oilers did this playoff season. I want the Oilers to win, but this panel is looking through rose coloured glasses when speaking of how they think the Oilers will dominate. This will be a tough series
so you watched one game, gotcha Oilers have the most 5v5 the most PP and the best PK all playoffs, they have one of the highest shots too, 1 game that they have 10 doest show anything, also skinner has a better SV% the bob lol
@@jamess1021 Hey, I am cheering for the Oilers too, but Florida is going to be tough, they do not stop for the whole game, Edmonton has got all the ingredients to win this, but they have some big lapses sometimes defensively and seem to stop playing sometimes. They will need to keep the foot on the gas every game from start to finish. Hope they do it.
I'm a fan and I'm genuinely shocked they made it this far! All year, I've been betting against them and all year, I've been wrong so what the hell, I'll keep 'er going and bet against them again. Can't hurt.
Oilers in 6. They displayed they can play in tight close games, They showed they can bend but not break, they showed a indestructible wall of a PK units.....and of course.... the power play!!. Remember they have played against Tkachuk MANY times. He's no worry. But the hidden gem no one talks about - our coach! Knobs ability to adjust and tinker with winning results was on full display all season and during the fire of the Playoffs. Like all the high foreheads were throwing roses at Dallas, saying "their the Fav to win the cup", "they'll dispatch the Oilers"... Blah Blah. Well you go ahead and throw roses at the feet of Florida all you want...OILERS in 6
It's pretty hilarious to listen to 'experts' talk about two teams, one which they've clearly watched, one which they clearly haven't.

Panthers beat the oilers 5-2 the last time they met

If officials call the game by the book,Oilers PP will win them the series.GO OILERS!!!!more importantly GO CANADA!!!!
We'll see how 'mean' Florida plays after the Oilers go a couple games in a row with 3 PP goals.

These guys got a hate-on for the Oilers. So much so Canada has a chance after years and they side with America.
Will never know cause the CBC does no longer shows Hockey Night in Canada.
Theyre showing the finals at least
The CBC was great for camping when they transmitted the signal through air and when Don Cherry was on!!!
I remember everyone was gushing about the Rangers’ PP and PK before the conf. final and how did that turn out
I does not matter who how good the goalie is. Too much skill and determination on the Oilers, they will back door PP the panthers every game
People hate Oilers far and wide across Canada, the TSN narrative of Canada is pure gaslighting. We in Edmonton don't mind the hate, its flattering ;)
Lol I'm from TO and no they don't. Maybe in Vancouver and Calgary but that's it.
I love the Oilers!
Where are you getting the hate??? I live in NS and have a lot of friends in Ontario and Quebec. All cheering for The Oilers.
@@patrickriordan8617 Leaf Nation, Calgary, Vancouver can't stand us.
no they don't
The Oilers know how to take on Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk. Years of experience in the battle of Alberta.
It was clear the Oilers were going to the finals as soon as they hires Corey Perry 😂😂
Hope so! Go, Oilers ! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Not likely. Just like Toronto of the past, Edmonton used to have a hockey team. Now they have a few players with a supporting cast.
EDM stars show up un the playoffs, the leafs stop playing when the paychecks stop. Massive difference

They have the most even strength goals in the playoffs🤷
It’s just classic narrative from weird people. Same old same old, they make no sense
so you watched one game, gotcha

The Oilers will win the series!
CBC doesn't show the Oilers from the west. If it was the Leafs I am sure they would show the Stanley cup finals!

The best offensive centre in hockey vs the most complete centre in hockey... Mcdavid vs Nugent-Hopkins?
The real question is... How much Trudeau will tax and tariff the cup coming back home?
hey loser this isn't about Trudeau this is about the Oilers winning and bringing the Stanley cup home to Edmonton and Canada. Go Oilers
The Oilers will shat the bed like they always do.
And Florida will win like they never have lol. What a tard lol
I'm an Oilers fan and I thought for sure they'd have.... done that thing you said.... long before now but somehow, here we are.
11 years and four subscribers no one gives a shit what you think loser!
They shat the bed all the way to the cup finals?....LOL

Let’s go Oilers
Hell no! Florida all the way! So the coach can say Winnipeg sucks!
Delusional, ex flames and how did they work out against the oilers . Panthers out in 5!
Go leafs go ...?? ..... anyone ??! 😂😂😂
Eastern sportsters are like the libs. Wow. Deranged. Get outta town once lol.
Bigger question is: is there any point in bringing it back to Canada?
Sure. Hope Not....Florida is the better team!!!
That's what they said about Dallas
Born in Edmonton now live in Ontario I hate the conservative virus but hope the Oilers bring the cup home to Canada where it belongs
You need to touch some grass
