How Do You Feel About Soloing in 7/4?

Do you feel comfortable soloing in 7/4? or is it tricky to you?
This is a little excerpt from a concert I recently played in Austin, TX with Adriano Santos' band. The tune is called "Amoreira" by Brazilian pianist Jovino Santos Neto and it's in 7/4. When soloing over odd bars like this I'm always trying to phrase in such a way to create longer statements that crosses the bar line, instead of landing on the downbeat of the measure at all times, which sometimes these type of time signatures tricks us into doing.
