The wall where your doggie bowls are is wasted space. You could have a kitchen counter/island with opening underneath for the doggie stuff. It could be pretty big and it wouldnt take up the space in the middle of room .
Hi Amanda. I would have Joey build an island with wheels. If he has the skills to add a drop down extender for more room for food prep I would add that to the island as well. The extender will give you more space and the wheels would allow for you to move the island and push it against the wall when necessary. Happy building!

I would take out that half wall and get a island w/ 2 stools on the other side. Have a table where it is now but just wont be against the half wall and still can enjoy either one you like. Your house is sooooooooo cute and cozy. Love your vids!
I absolutely love kitchen islands! You definitely have plenty of open space for a permanent one! I don’t think you’d need one with wheels in my honest opinion! You, like me, love cooking and I think having one will be so beneficial for you! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I would definitely have Joey build you one which I think he already has! 🤭
I think I would get a work table on wheels like mentioned in other comments and keep against the wall but you can move easily when you want

Put a counter top/bar on your half wall where the dog food is.
The picture you inserted of that island I think that size like that would be perfect so I would have Joey make it. I love you grocery hauls always gives me ideas. I’m so ready for pumpkin spice too.
I love watching your grocery hauls I’ve been getting back into going to Aldi I love seeing what everyone’s getting, an island in your kingdom would be amazing you have a nice size kitchen I love the space 💕💕
If I was doing it, I would have someone build it for me like Joey. That way you can measure the space that you have and how much space you will have to walk around it and then he can build it accordingly. Remember, you have to open up your oven and your refrigerator doors lol I’m sure that’s common sense so you don’t want it to be too confining with the kitchen island.
A island would be great itll look cute in your kitchen 😊
Aesthetically I think an island would be cute. Functionally it would drive me nuts to only have a small space to move in. Mostly because my kids/dogs are always right behind me so I walk around them a lot lol

Amanda,if you are nervous and stressed walking the dogs they will feel that energy and be anxious also . Joey must be calmer walking them so they are calm .

I always love watching your videos and getting meal ideas. I started eating the blue cheese olives because of you and when I go to Aldi tomorrow I will definitely be on the lookout for the eggplants. I also recreate suggested meals that are pictured on the packaging. I think an island would be perfect for you!

Do something with wheels and you can keep it over pushed up against the half wall and pull it out when you need it.
Instead of an island what about adding countertop and cabinets on that half wall?

I love an island but I think you would be better off with it on the open wall where the doggie bowls are. I would tape off the area on the floor to get an idea. Remember you have doors that need to open towards an island. Just my thought, good luck with whatever you decide.
