I’ve tried immersive reading and i just can’t do it. When I listen I like to multitask on low brain level things. Following along just feels weird. I can also listen faster without.
Looks like you got a great batch of books! I picked up a few October Daye novels. They've been my urban fantasy reads since I caught up on Dresden last year.
Those “Hell Diver” book sound really freakin cool. So i have a question. I don’t have an audiobook acct. my self. I do have a Prime account. Are those separate subscriptions I have to pay for? And if I subscribe do I have to pay for each title as well as a monthly subscription? I generally use Chirp Books and Libby when I get my audiobooks. I pay for what I buy and that’s it. No subscriptions.
They are kinda wild. We’ll book 1… Yea audible is owned by amazon but different membership. Amazon does have “prime listening” which is a different smaller selection. Audible works on credits so you get 1 credit a month and each book is worth a credit. OR you can just purchase for the price, like what I did here with the sale. So audible does not subscription and not. You can also buy 3 credit packs.
@@AverageJoesLibrary so if you add money do you get more credits? I’ve been on the fence about getting it I’m just not 100% sure how it works and didn’t want to over pay
@@wordsonpaper3869 yea it’s prob explained there. You can get a membership, or buy credits (I think) or just buy the books individually. If you attack when there are those sales you can stock up good.
With ‘difficult’ books I like to listen AND read at the same time. It really enhances my experience.
I do the same.

Sun Eater is amazing, Ruocchio’s writing is sublime, and Roukin is one of my top ten narrators.
Yea I knew I wanted to read it for sure, just wasn’t planning on audiobook. Narrators can be very hit and miss but glad you hear this is a good one.
I splurged on the sale too! I think I bought like 30 books. 😅😅 obviously they were all much cheaper than a credit. But it still adds up.
I had to resist a little, I only listen to fast ha especially since I do one non-fiction a month.

Interesting, I have not hear of that one, will. Check out. I need to start the Alex Verus series.
@@AverageJoesLibrary I'll be checking out Alex Verus since I hadn't heard of it before your video.
Nice haul, I totally missed this sale
They do sales like twice a year and I always load up.
Sun Eater book 4 Kingdoms of Death releases on the 22nd of this month. Book 5 Ashes of Man releases in December.
