Great video as always, it's a refresher to see someone play Omniraptor instead of Carnotaurus. Even if I don't agree with how fast stam drains on a pounce, it's still a nice watch, every time you pounced on something I was like: "Don't forget how fast stam drains! Don't forget!"
yeah, stam drops too fast in general. from my point of view it already did in update 5. I love the pounce animation, but, mostly just watch the stam bar XD I would prefer longer pounce with less damage to short pounce with more damage. if that makes sense :) thx mate ♥ I still love omni.
fun fact the definition of a mombie is A mother who is consumed by raising her children to the point being sleep-deprived or simply obsessed, and hence zombie-like
yeah, I read that a year ago, too. kind of weird XD the history of my name is even similar. I have this name on steam about 10 years now. it's based on half "mensch" (the german word for human) and half "zombie". 'cause I often played more than half of the night and somebody in work once said, dude, you look like a zombie ^^ so, it's also based on zombie, but, the M comes from mensch, not mother. the mother zombies came after me. they stole my name!!! XD
Utah/omni is good if u want to just focus your gameplay on nesting and live on AI, if you’re lucky you can hunt other players but they have to be noobs or new players who have no idea about bucking mechanic. Pachy is more agile than utah, turns way better/faster. Also now bucking works like that: the more your target weights the faster your stam drops down if I remember correctly. Anyway, since I don’t find utah fun to play in it’s current state, good that at least you are enjoying the gameplay… and common death screen. XD Hoping for more omni vids! (:
why only noobs and AI? as example. late juvie or sub carnos were so weak vs an adult utah in update 5, that I didn't even attack them. it was a boring fight. after all it was always about the challenge to me. now, a sub carno can be the same challenge as adults were before. so, I go for them (I faced one, which didn't make it in the video). to me, there is no big change at all, beside the enemy is sub instead of adult now. nothing to do with has to be a noob imo. I also like that as bigger the prey as more stam the pounce costs. makes totally sense to me and I still think 2 omnis will be able to match a teno with a good tactic. that's how it should be in my opinion. 'cause it was ridiculous to tailride a rex with utah or dilo in legacy and I hope this won't be the case in evrima. I know many argue with skills should be skills. but, then you have to make a hypsi strong enough to kill a deino, stego, utah or later on a rex. 'cause skills should be skills. that doesn't work. you have to draw a line somewhere. if this line is a 1vs1 to pachy, then it is fair enough, 'cause they have a similar grow time. omni in a pack is still able to hunt bigger prey. so, I see omni more realistic now. not broken. anyway, I'm happy you still enjoy my videos and I promise, to never give up on omni, utah, veloci or however it will be called in the future XD
i started a stego baby yesterday, was about 12-14% raised, a grown utah pounced on me and I instatly started hitting him with tail he fell down I've managed to land 2-3 more tail swipes and he died from bleed @_@, i was like wtf lol
@@wizardoflolz5626 have you watched your weight? stego babus weigh about 1.000kg with 12% now. twice of an omni. with a fresh juvie (25%) you can fight an adult carno now ;-)
@@da.mombie Well, because those are the only things a utah may be able to kill solo, new players/noobs and ai, that's the only way of survival of utah now, and scavenging imo, and hunting things smaller than you eventually, but it's boring. You can take on something more challenging indeed but be ready for death screen more than ever. Sub carnos were not really that weak, their blood pool was bad, but bleeding too fast was a major issue for carnos in general in u5. I hope to see you fight against fully grown carno (even in a pack of utahs), one that knows how to buck to drain your whole stam in a matter of 1 second. I think you'd have to experience it yourself to understand that all that complains of people who played mostly as utah are not invalid and utah is simply trash now, just a piece of meat with legs for busted carnos. There wouldn't be complaining if there wasn't an issue, just as it was with magnetic pounce of utahs in u5. Besides, I have to ask, did u kill anything beside that not bucking carno from the video? I feel like it says a lot about hunting as utah, and you are a pretty good utah player from what I know based on your videos, but I'm happy for you that despite everything u still are able to enjoy it's gameplay. ^^ Yes, I like it too, it's good mechanic with that stam drain depending on weight, but it should be slightly less punishable imo, because it's not ok if 1 second of bucking takes you down to 20-30% of stam, it makes pounce not really that useful until you just spam pounce (and making utah gameplay just being spam rmb to make people bleed is meh). I also wouldn't compare combat in legacy with evrima since it's totally different and legacy is kind of archaic, not to mention I've spend over 2000 hours in evrima and never touched legacy so idk much about it, but if you say that utah could kill a rex it definitely was broken, don't want it here, 1v1 with carnos, pachies and tenos and similar size dinos would make me fully happy, don't need anything more. XD Skill should be one of major factors, not the only one and main one, but still an important one. If only there wasn't a big, really big gap between hypsi and deino when it comes to tiers and amount of hp and bite force... XD But I do hope hypsi will maybe stand a chance against troodons for example somehow if someone is good enough as hypsi, would be actually fun. Besides, no one asks about utahs becoming gods, most people just want it's agility back and slightly changed bucking stam drain. Utah still would be easy to kill with those changes considering it's low amount of hp. You feel bad about dryo state in this update, this is how people feel about change in utah movement, it was as unneccessary as change with dryo speed and it's dodge, no one asked for this. But I'm assuming u don't feel the difference between how utah moved and how it moves now, anyway, at the moment game is in terrible state balance wisely and I'm pretty sure many will agree... maybe not people who enjoy playing as carnos now with their broken hitbox, spamable instant charge and buffed charge turn. It will be always and forever utah at heart.
@@lantevi agree 💯 with you. I am Utah/Omni main barely play it anymore cause I feel I’m a walking piece of meat now. It needs to be fix. Anyways, great video Mombie, as always!!!
the update six changes kind of made the game a bit less likeable for me because now utah cant solo things like it use to because the reason the devs made these changes to utah is so they make you to hunt things in packs, since 1 utah killing a teno or pachy isn’t “realism”
to me this makes also sense. a utah shouldn't be able to face a teno or carno. skills should matter, but, you also have to draw a line. otherwise you have to make hypsi strong enough to kill a rex at the end. the only question is, where to draw this line. I didn't like utahs and dilos be able to 1vs1 a rex in legacy. don't get me wrong, I killed two rex with my dilo (never with utah tho) and it was one of the best feelings I ever had in the isle so far. still, it felt awesome to me, but, awful for a mate who growed his dino 8 hours and didn't have ANY chance as long as I did no mistake by my own. the agility of utah makes it so complex and is a reason why I love it. but, it is also a game breaking ability. 'cause agility is the best weapon in this game. as you can ask my update 5 dryo ;-) after all tho, the line has changed and will change again in future updates. we are far from the final line anyway. so, let's see where it will be at the end. meanwhile I still enjoy omni. it's still THE most fun fighter to play in my opinion.
The isles balancing is something else Also you make Utah look so fun to play lol I just hate how it’s agility got removed and they basically gave it to pachy which makes no sense imo
@@nfbro3473 tee-hee, I don't make utah look fun, it is fun to play ;-) about the stats. try to see it it like follow. at this stage of the game it is all about development. sense isn't much important now. so, utah was very agily, pachy wasn't and carnos charge took "ages" (you could barely use it in combat beside an ambush). they got a lot of datas. now they changed things. utah less agile, pachy more and carnos charge at any time. they will get datas out of it. the next update will mix everything up again. same as every update did before. at every stage they get/got datas out of it. which they hopefully can use on the long run to fine tune more and more with every upcoming update. and we are talking about 30-50 more updates. 'cause many stats will probably change with every incoming new dino. so, don't worry about stats. don't get mad about them or search the deeper sense behind. it is a waste of time. you just get in a bad mood for nothing. it won't change anything and it will change anyway with the next update ;-) so... always look on the bright side of life... lala lalala lala ♥
I've had a lot of fun playing Omni this update as well. I do avoid carnos as much as possible since their charge hitbox is too large to properly dodge, but pack hunts are just as fun as before and even more necessary so you can keep the target confused and unfocused. Solo Omni is much harder though, as pouncing is pretty unviable in a solo fight if the prey knows how to buck. Makes it very difficult to regain enough stamina without packmates to distract while you do-so. But considering Omni is meant to be a pack hunter, I don't see that as a negative. I would like to see the stam drain modified just a bit, so that you don't hit zero after one buck animation cycle. My reaction time is really bad when I'm pouncing so I lose way too much in the time it takes me to land, turn the camera around, and release for a safe dismount.
totally agree with your first part 🤗🤗🤗in terms of modification I would go even further. I would love a much longer pounce, but less damage. I love the animation of the pounce and the bucking, but, you don't even see the bucking animation, 'cause as soon it starts you have to drop :/
thx mate! exactly what I think. carno seems pretty strong now. the charge is so brutal. which makes omni looking more weak than it is. I didn't fight much, but, those pachy in the video didn't feel OP. I died 'cause I made the biggest mistake you can make, attack from ahead. let's be real, I deserved to die for that XD other than that, I felt well in the fight. not on top, but, also not without a chance. I guess a 1vs1 with pachy can be fun. but, I have no final opinion yet, as I didn't play or fought enough so far.
In my opinion they should retard the damage on stam of the buck. Like that when you see the anim and can jump off without being out of stam. But if you don't pays attention it will cost you your life because right now pounce isn't viable in fight
first of all, I LOVE the pounce animation and would rather have a long pounce with less damage than a short pounce with much damage. so, yeah, I would love to be able to pounce longer. but, I can't say how bad it is and if it is useless in a fight. that teno bleeded pretty long for such a short pounce. imagine a 2 omni vs 1 teno. a teno isn't able to catch a omni. one pounces and falls back, the other keeps it on it's feet. as more it follows as more it bleeds and if it stands still, you just take care that it doesn't sit down. as soon as the other is back, one pounces again and so on. the teno hasn't much of a chance, 'cause the pounce still connects easy. the downside is only the open. after a pounce the omni is weak with less stam. so, you need a forest close to be able to hide and don't let the teno run you down. many words short, we have to see if and how useless or useful the pounce will be. maybe you have played and tested way more, but, I can't say by now.
@@da.mombie yeah pounce animation is great. Maybe i would like to have an animation for when you run and pounce in order to be more fluid. I think it would be cool if utha have a kind of warning when the prey begin to buck. To make people do more long pounce maybe increase the stam cost of the pounce and reduce the stam drain when you are on it. I love the mechanic of à pounce is a dangerous weapon for user too but actually i don't think it's really usable. Actually even if there is 2 omni against à carno they don't stand à chance even if they have a forest. Maybe à solution could be to increase stam regen of omni.
@@saurus8657 to be honest, I don't enjoy it at all at the moment, 'cause I don't watch the animation, I just look at my stam bar. which is sad, so, yeah, I would also welcome such a mechanic or animation. but, that 2 omni haven't much of a chance vs carno isn't up to omni being too weak. it's carnos charge makes it too strong vs omni. they can activate anytime and the hitbox is way too big to have a proper chance to dodge. but, teno is the size of carno and not as much buffed at the moment. I think two omni can give a teno a tough time. anyway, I see it like this. they change stats like crazy, get a lot of data out of it and hopefully will slighten the changes with any of the many upcoming updates (incl. more than 40 dinos) and at the end, we will have a good balanced game. I don't even expect it perfectly balanced, as it is a mission impossible with so many different dinos (size).
yo! Mombie, personally after update 6 i hate omni he got nerfed and not fun to play at all...(my opinion). I think i dont play this game until 6.5 or 7 when new dinos come in. And you said once that you want to play some multiplayer events in goat simu? take your time and explore everything first but just wanted to remember you ;)
@@grinsemax5994 thx for the hint ♥ actually ancestory is on my wish list since it was released. I never found time to play it tho. a day hasn't enough hours :/ I didn't forget and the events in the game become less, so, I guess we will do the multiplayer session within the next 2-3 weeks ;-) yeah, I don't know. I don't share this opinion. omni is fine. I guess a 1vs1 to pachy will be a good match. carnos seems to strong at the moment, but, I couldn't care less. I will just adapt my prey and have fun with it like always. as example, I never attacked a late juvie or sub carno as a utah before. because it was too weak and no challenge. now we can fight them and have a good battle. adult carnos are easy to avoid. they barely have a chance to catch us in the forest. pachy will be a good fight and tenos have to be seen. I guess, two omni can take down a teno. the movement is just slightly different and you have to be on nappns level to even feel the difference. to everybody else, nothing has changed in movement. the pounce needs slightly more stam, but also no huge difference at all. srsly, I just don't see that big nerf at all. so, what excatly is so bad that you can't play it? no offense mate, I'm just curious. 'cause I don't get it.
@@da.mombie yes your probably righ xD but i trained on a free admin server and you could ez 1v1 a omni as pachy, you just need 1 hit ond 2/3 alt attacks and if you fractured the leg the life of that omni ends in every case...
@@grinsemax5994 I can't say myself. you may know better. I didn't fight much so far. but, those fights in the video didn't feel like I wouldn't have a chance to me. I attacked a pachy from ahead at the end. the BIGGEST mistake you can make. so, totally my fault and not like I had no chance. till then I felt pretty well in the fight. not on top, but also not without a chance. true, it's very risky, 'cause a broken leg is your end. but, no fun without risk ;-)
east swamp. I met many herds as carni and as herb there. mostly at the swamp or on the way from there to the east center. stegos are also at the north center, but, I barely met pachy or tenos there. sometimes bigger teno herds around shallows (north of it) and northwest (radish area). other than that the map seems mostly empty at the moment. I met small groups like two pachy or dryo in the southwest, but, not on a regular base. so, most likely is the east swamp area.
@@lazy0nara the small radius of the calls doesn't help either. it's often very sad and lonely out there right now :/ don't be mad if you don't find one at the east swamp, 'cause it also depends on the server, but, on EU2, 4 and 6 have been many herds there recently. your welcome and thx for your support ♥
i think they should buff omni just a little. by the way, i cant play the isle because every time i log on the game sets me back to the menu. plus i have this bug which makes me unable to bite but then my dino just bites automatically 4 or 5 times, i have gotten accused to be a canni 6 times now.
they will for sure. they chaneg with every update ;-) sry, I never heard of this bug.did it work before and since the last update? or when did it happen?
Omni would be mostly fine if Pachy and Carno weren't so overtuned. Fighting a Carno as a solo Utah is nearly impossible. Can't run, can't fight. Omni turn was heavily nerfed, you can't do circles to get around targets like you could. Some might not feel a difference, but people who really knew Utah well have noticed the significant nerf.
carno is too strong to 1vs1 and in general the charge is very brutal. but, as long as you aren't in the far open, you still can run from them. they barley catch us in the forest. yeah, I already said that I might be too bad to feel the difference, but, on the other hand, very few are on that level. I played this game pretty much within the last one and a half year and nappn was the only utah I met who was on this level. I never met another one. not even one. so, I may be just VERY lucky, but, more likely is that there aren't much out there. and to be honest, I don't like a utah to be able to 1vs1 the big ones like in Legacy. it was ridiculous that you could kill a rex with a utah or dilo.
@@da.mombie I think the balance should be based on the potential of the dino, not the average player. That's how we got this awful state of balance in Update 6. Devs should not be balancing Utah or Carno based on the average person playing them. Also I think a really skilled player should absolutely be able to solo a Carno, but it should take skill and effort. Not a Rex or Spino, but a Carno? 100%. You shouldn't automatically lose a fight simply because you're smaller, that discourages complex matchups because you'd simply think "Nope, I'm smaller, I auto-lose". As it sits now it's incredibly hard to survive as Omni simply because of Carnos, it shouldn't be that way. I've put nearly 1000 hours into Evrima alone and this is by far the worst the balance has been, apart from MAYBE Update 4. Also, if you've talk to Nappn you can hear his opinion on Omni, it's was overnerfed and is now underpowered. When arguably the best Utah player on Evrima says that it's too weak, it's too weak.
@@HelplessTeno first of all, I admire nappn and his skills a lot. but, he is a main utah player and has a very utah based view on the game. which isn't the view of all other players. utah is just one out of 9 dinos by now and 50 at the end. every main player of every dino has his very own view on what dino should beat what other, so ;-) well, I put more than 1.000 hours in all dinos. therefore I can tell you that what utah players experience now is the same like carno and pachy players did in update 5. now utah suffers. so, I have two options, to cry and complain and don't play utah. or to take on the challenge and make the best out of it. like I did with pachy or carno in update 5. other than many told me before, it is still fun to play. I enjoyed it a lot. so, I don't get all the crying about omni at all. if everybody would stop to play a dino, just 'cause it is more weak now, then we would only have deino, stego and carnos now. and only utahs, stegos and deinos before and so on. dont get me wrong. yeah, utah might be weaker now. but, all these complains like, uh, you can only hunt AI or utah is as weak as compy is so ridiculous. if you can't find a worth enemy for a good fight in this game, then it is up to you. not the stats. because even if a carno and a utah are equal, it is almost never a fair battle. it's a 2vs1, it's a sub vs adult, it's at a place which fits the carno or it's at a place which fits the omni. therefore sorry, but, more than 90% of the fights in this game are not a skillbased 1vs1. so, I don't want the game to position itself to something which in fact barely happens ;-)
@@da.mombie Well said. This is exactly what I keep telling people. There are so many UA-camrs complaining about the omni update saying it is unviable now, which is not even true at all. I love omni. I was a carno player now I play omni because of how fun it is to play in a pack. Challenging but so rewarding, how it should be. It is what it's supposed to be- a pack hunter, not a solo 1v1er vs carno. Carnos suffered so much last update and they got the buff they deserved, and omni got nerfed to what it should be, as a PACK hunter. All that's left now is to fine-tune it, particularly stamina buck drain, and it will be the perfect pack hunting predator.
@@mariadracona I don't get all the crying in general. at the end we will have a completely different ecosystem with more than 50 dinos. so, today's stats couldn't be less important. still, after every update the same. all the main players of the dino which got nerfed get crazy. I heard the same complains from carno, teno, pachy and now utah players. it starts to bore me XD second and even more important. IT IS STILL FUN TO PLAY! all the stories like utah is only for AI and can't fight anything are so ridiculous and nothing else but an excuse to don't take on the challenge ;-) so, I love to hear that you still enjoy omni and take on the challenge to hunt in packs ♥
I’ve play on those servers! Maybe we shall meat one day ;) or perhaps we already have :D if you’d like do you want to play utah some time? I’d consider myself a utah main ;)
@@acronym6837 sry mate, I don't do appoinments, just 'cause of time reasons. I never know when I play. yeah, I don't like the whole pounce mechanics at the moment. I didn't like it in update 5 as well. I would prefer a longer pounce with less damage to a short pounce with much damage. right now, we don't even see the bucking animation as we have to drop as soon as it starts. which is sad. 'cause I love both animations, pounce & buck :)
Hopefully after many years they will manage to add more type of dinosaurs to the mix. I did not really playing carnivores so I am not familiar with their capabilities I like more the hide and seek and trick carnis into traps. Well the trodoon pack would be interesting and I think if they add Dilophosaurus that would be a nice toxicating addition to the game. I prefer the fast paced dinos over the slow bulky ones. I hope there will be also a game with permian era creatures because I like that era the most. Let's hope there will be much more creatures.
well, at the end we will have mre than 50. the last year they focused on the basics or core mechanics of the game. this year will be more mechanics likes perks and so on, but also some dinos. I expect at least 4-5. next year should be start of the dino years. means, more dinos will drop more frequently. but, it's games development, so, delays are always possible XD they add trodoon as a test for dilo. they want to see how the poison mechanics will effect the gameplay or fights. trodoon will do less poison and is therefore good to get a feeling of how strong this ability will be in real battle at the end. still, I don't expect dilo within 2023. more likely are troddon, galli, beipi & cera. but, this is just me guessing :)
@@da.mombie At first the toxin-poision would be too unbalanced because of the procs. In most games the toxins are works very weird and can cause faster death (warframe toxin is bypassing enemy shields and direct hit the hp) in this game possible will be a similar addition like the bleeding or bleed out. Toxin also could in some way destroy the nerve or cardial system so that would be possible hard to implement it right because the hitting animations sometimes glitchy. They could also add a similar thing what the Comodo dragons have and not only intoxicate your dino but also infect it so it could affect moving speed, stamina and possible could pass you easily. I would want to see more than 250 dinos at least but considering how realistic way they want to make the corpses, the body animations and physics with this pace there will be 10 finished then the game shut down. Another thing I heard is they are focusing to port the game to the Unreal engine 5 which possible can slow down the development because the transitions sometimes hard. In this case the engine is an upgraded similar unreal one so it could not take that much time but who knows. I would see more kind of foods and able to eat more plants exists in this game but currently locked or just bio camouflage.
@@sziklamester1244 mate, I am all in XD I would love 250 dinos, on a huge map with more than 1.000 players :) but, you know as good as me that they are very limited in their capacity. I'm pretty curious about the poison system, 'cause like you mentioned, it could have so many nice and different effects and I hope that different dinos will have different versions of it. like I still hope for the night vision. but, it is still a long way to go :/
@@da.mombie The time will tell how they can evolve. Possible we never will meet with this criteria but who knows maybe some nice donator with a huge budget could kickstart them and they could hire at least 20-50 new personel to develop this game so the content would be created and added a much faster pace.
@@sziklamester1244 the funny thing is, I once read that dondi said it isn't up to the money. they earned quite a lot, it's more a problem of finding people. which I don't completely get to be honest. but, little I know ;-)
Maybe omni will be better again once people adjusted to the changes :) Still dont see the point of constantly changing the existing dinos. All that balancing gets disrupted when a new dino gets released anyway. So why waste time "fine tweaking" when they could work on getting more dinos in. I get that stuff that has new mechanics takes time (herreras climbing for example). But all the mechanics for cerato are already in the game for example. Its "just" a big carnivore that can eat rotten flesh. With the diet mechanic already in the game, they dont have to code new mechanics to get it in the game.
I couldn't agree more. I remember when utahs bite was about 200 (or was it 175) and got nerfed to 50. every utah main was like, broken! you can't kill anything with it anymore. same as teno mains reacted when tenos got nerfed or carno mains will react after the next carno nerf. which is incoming ;-) so, to me all the crying is business as usual XD I still enjoy omni and will adapt my prey. let's be real, a late juvie or sub carno wasn't much of a challenge for an adult utah. I didn't even attack them 'cause it were boring fights. now, I can't attack a carno, but go for subs. to me, no big difference at all. honestly, I think it is the best time to mess around with stats. like you mentioned, it will become even more complicated as soon as more dinos are in the game. I have no knowledge in games development, but I think if you have to test around, then now. in terms of dinos I just hope that after the basics are done, they will come more frequently now. it's time for new dinos. it really is :/
@@da.mombie About omni nerfs. I think a lot of people dont consider that they are supposed to hunt in packs. So its kinda logical that a single Omni doesnt evenly match up with a Carno. If they make 1v1 carno vs omni evenly matched, omni packs would shredd everything.
this model is based on the jurassic park model. they called it velociraptor, 'cause utah wasn't discovered back then. the real veloci is as small as a chicken tho. so, the isle took that popular raptor model and called it utah. which fossils were found meanwhile and fitted the size much better. but, sience nowadays thinks they looked very different. so, the isle is gonna add a more accurate model of an utahraptor. probably with feathers. but, many love the jurassic park model, so, they will keep it in the game with the new name. omniraptor.
the new name for utahraptor. they changed the name 'cause there will be a new utahraptor in the future. a more accurate one. probably with feathers ;-)
@@da.mombie I guess they can't name it Jurassic Park Raptor, but that's basically what it is. They even made the raptor sounds so good that nothing else is believable imo. Think all raptors had feathers or "dino-fuzz" at least, as of what we (paleonthologists) know at the moment. Would be cool if they did the Megaraptor (about double in size compared to Utah) . I also wonder what they gonna do about Troodon, now that it's not maybe a "thing" anymore. Something about it being missclassified and is now a member of another family or something like that.
@@nemeziz12 hey!!! my man ♥ tee-hee, yeah, they are way too small to pay the license for the JP franchise, that's for sure XD but, like you said, it's design and it's sound is 99% jurassic park. therefore I couldn't care less how they name it. JP were the biggest scammer of all, 'cause, as you probably know, veloci had the size of a chicken. on the other hand, utah wasn't discovered at the time the movie was made, so, you can call it artistic freedom :) nowadays we have more fossils and think they had feathers NOW. but, who knows what we think in another 30 years? most of our knowledge about them is still theory. specially when it comes to behaviour, but, also in stuff like skin colours, the way they moved and so on. therefore I also don't mind how accurate troddon will be. after all it's just a game I want to have fun with. not study dinos XD yeah, megaraptor would be cool. well, I guess, there is even a good chance as soon as mods are coming to the game :)
I 1v1 a adult carno as a solo Utah got 4 pounces and 4 bites sadly right as the adult carno bleed out I got charged by a smaller carno out of nowhere and that was Smaller than me. Tbh I think as carnos get older they get more charge damage and get full damage when adult, I see small carnos just charging through packs of Utah's and killing them with only charge 💀
good job mate! ♥ unlucky end tho :/ srsly, are they that strong? never been charged by a little carno so far. beside being babu myself XD I will try to keep that in mind :)
Omni is 100% broken. It's in worse shape now than when it would get stuck in the air on pounce. The omni/utah had to be about perfect in any fight it was in but it still had its one weapon of pounce. Now pounce is useless. Stam drops way too quickly and if they even buck a little you deplete your stam as we saw in your video, you must hide and regain stam and lose the target or try to hide but get chased down.
100% broken? oh, come on mate. omni will have a tough time in update 6. like dryo will in update 6 and carno had it in update 5. no big deal at all. specially 'cause with the next update everything will change again. meanwhile, omni will be different to play in update 6 than utah was in 5. with different prey and different survival strategies. like keeping closer to the forest. personally I even love the new gameplay. but, it won't last long anyway ;-)
@@da.mombie I get what you're saying. However, if pachy was only able to headbutt one or two times and then be out of stam, I think you would say it was broken. I don't see how this is different. Before in order to get a raptor off you could buck, run to a tree, go to mud, or go to water. That's a lot of ways to counter a pounce so why was this huge stamina drain needed? I agree the raptor needed a nerf but this is extreme.
@@scottm2649 no I wouldn't say pachy is broken with what you suggest. even if the comparision doesn't fit. but, it doesn't matter, 'cause I don't care if a dino is weak at all. no matter how weak it is. I take on the challenge and make the best out of it. knowing the next update will change everything again. knowing with 50 dinos at the end it doesn't matter what stats which dino had at update 6.0 it is an alpha game. even in a very early stage. we aren't even half way through the development. there are probably 30 updates and changes to come. current stats couldn't be less important. I am no main player, but, I love utah. still, even if there wouldn't be any utah (omni or similar) in the game at the end, I would still consider it a great game. to me the game doesn't stand or fall with one dino in the game or not. even less do their stats ;-)
@@da.mombie Oh I agree about it being a great game. I have 1800 hours on just Evrima lol. I think the biggest problem when they try to balance is that they do too much at once. Omni had a very magnetic pounce so it needed to be fixed. Pachy's bleed out too quickly. Instead of fixing those items and seeing how the balance was, they try to tweak everything at once which usually shifts the game too far in one direction. We can agree to disagree on this. My view is with the huge stamina drain when someone bucks, it makes the pounce unviable. Utah has always been my main even when they would get stuck in the air on pounce. I don't want utah to be where an unskilled player can kill a teno with it, but it should be a little more balanced than where it is now. Still love your videos.
@@scottm2649 don't get me wrong and pls, all this is no offense and only my opinion. no fact at all. I also don't say omni is good now and carno isn't too strong. I just say I don't care. like you said, they do changes always like crazy. doesn't mean I like it, but it is business as usual since I started to play. after every update the main players of the nerfed dino go crazy. no matter if teno, carno, pachy or omni. as long as their dino is super strong, everything is ok. best game ever. as soon as their dino is weak, omg, the whole game is trash. meanwhile I play all dinos and think, ok, update 5 was tough to play pachy and utah was easy content (or to play in general). update 6 will be more easy to play pachy, but omni will be tough. so will dryo to me. and thx mate ♥
@BumsieBum exactly 😁 you're right 😁 @@da.mombie in the Isle people often write like that 😉 recently I didn't know what "np" was, it turned out to be short for "no problem" 😜 I'm learning a lot too 😁 (btw : "np" in Polish is "for example" - "na przykład") 😉
carnos charge is really insane. it's VERY strong and will be nerfed with the next update. I'm pretty sure about. but, omni isn't crap in my opinion. even more, it didn't change much in general. if you are on the highest level, like nappn, and go for a 1vs1 with teno or carno, then yes, it is probably more weak. to all others (incl. myself) it didn't change much. and let's be real, me and the others are probably more than 90% of the players. I play this game since one and a half year on a regular base. way more than 1.000 hours. I haven't met a single (NOT EVEN ONE) utah player which was on the level of nappn when I faced him. no utah beside him ever made me sweat when I played a teno or carno. just nappn, so ;-)
"utah baby is still the most fun to play." Yeah, but not when 4-5 adults attack you, oyu kill 3-4 of them and they all come back as juvis just to pounce you and very slowly and annoyingly kill you, I god damn hate that soooo much!
this is the reason why we can't spawn in the same area again. these players force the devs to implement such mechanics. sadly, it doesn't stopp them to run across the isle to keep their silly gameplay. still, that's up to the players and not the babu. poor babu ;-)
Hi Mombie, as you probably know I’m playing the game too and my friend showed me this channel. Your videos are cool and fun to watch but update 6.0 made the game so much worse. I will stop playing until 6.5 comes out so I won’t be watching you for a while.

I love the pounce animation, but, mostly just watch the stam bar XD I would prefer longer pounce with less damage to short pounce with more damage. if that makes sense :) thx mate ♥ I still love omni.
fun fact the definition of a mombie is A mother who is consumed by raising her children to the point being sleep-deprived or simply obsessed, and hence zombie-like

the history of my name is even similar. I have this name on steam about 10 years now. it's based on half "mensch" (the german word for human) and half "zombie". XD
Hoping for more omni vids! (:
why only noobs and AI? as example. late juvie or sub carnos were so weak vs an adult utah in update 5, that I didn't even attack them. it was a boring fight. after all it was always about the challenge to me. now, a sub carno can be the same challenge as adults were before. so, I go for them (I faced one, which didn't make it in the video). to me, there is no big change at all, beside the enemy is sub instead of adult now. nothing to do with has to be a noob imo.
Yes, I like it too, it's good mechanic with that stam drain depending on weight, but it should be slightly less punishable imo, because it's not ok if 1 second of bucking takes you down to 20-30% of stam, it makes pounce not really that useful until you just spam pounce (and making utah gameplay just being spam rmb to make people bleed is meh). XD
Skill should be one of major factors, not the only one and main one, but still an important one.
Anyways, great video Mombie, as always!!!
you are the reason I got the isle lol, love the style of the videos xD thanks
thx mate ♥ I hope you also enjoy the game 🤗
the update six changes kind of made the game a bit less likeable for me because now utah cant solo things like it use to because the reason the devs made these changes to utah is so they make you to hunt things in packs, since 1 utah killing a teno or pachy isn’t “realism”
to me this makes also sense. a utah shouldn't be able to face a teno or carno. skills should matter, but, you also have to draw a line. otherwise you have to make hypsi strong enough to kill a rex at the end. the only question is, where to draw this line. 'cause agility is the best weapon in this game. as you can ask my update 5 dryo ;-)
after all tho, the line has changed and will change again in future updates. we are far from the final line anyway. so, let's see where it will be at the end. meanwhile I still enjoy omni. it's still THE most fun fighter to play in my opinion.
The isles balancing is something else
Also you make Utah look so fun to play lol I just hate how it’s agility got removed and they basically gave it to pachy which makes no sense imo
@@nfbro3473 tee-hee, I don't make utah look fun, it is fun to play ;-)
about the stats. try to see it it like follow. at this stage of the game it is all about development. sense isn't much important now.
so, utah was very agily, pachy wasn't and carnos charge took "ages" (you could barely use it in combat beside an ambush). they got a lot of datas.
now they changed things. utah less agile, pachy more and carnos charge at any time. they will get datas out of it.
the next update will mix everything up again. same as every update did before. at every stage they get/got datas out of it.
which they hopefully can use on the long run to fine tune more and more with every upcoming update. and we are talking about 30-50 more updates. 'cause many stats will probably change with every incoming new dino. so, don't worry about stats. don't get mad about them or search the deeper sense behind. it is a waste of time. you just get in a bad mood for nothing. it won't change anything and it will change anyway with the next update ;-)
so... always look on the bright side of life... lala lalala lala ♥
Omni is so satisfying to play too hehe
Nice video ;)
my beloved sister 🤗🤗🤗
Omni isn't even that bad, but carno and pachy are quite OP now, nice vid anyways
thx mate! exactly what I think. carno seems pretty strong now. the charge is so brutal. which makes omni looking more weak than it is.

@@da.mombie oh, well, UA-cam glitched and made this a reply. Haha. But it is true :)
@@da.mombie and for the teno Hunt you are right but that means that the utha don't have the right or 1 error
@@saurus8657 true, but, you weren't allowed to make a mistake vs teno before as well. teno was always the risk of oneshot.

yeah, I don't know.
@@HelplessTeno first of all, I admire nappn and his skills a lot. but, he is a main utah player and has a very utah based view on the game. which isn't the view of all other players. utah is just one out of 9 dinos by now and 50 at the end. every main player of every dino has his very own view on what dino should beat what other, so ;-)
well, I put more than 1.000 hours in all dinos. therefore I can tell you that what utah players experience now is the same like carno and pachy players did in update 5. now utah suffers. so, I have two options, to cry and complain and don't play utah. or to take on the challenge and make the best out of it. like I did with pachy or carno in update 5. other than many told me before, it is still fun to play.
I heard the same complains from carno, teno, pachy and now utah players. it starts to bore me XD

@@acronym6837 sry mate, I don't do appoinments, just 'cause of time reasons. I never know when I play. I just play when I have time between the editing. and this is different every day. but, I do community events every now and then. not recently because I wanted to cover the new update with all dinos first, but, soon again and you are very welcome to take part 🤗
@@da.mombie aww that’s alright :D good luck with editing! Maybe we’ll find each other in Isle one day ;)
I think omni is still good but they should make the stam do not drop so fast
yeah, I don't like the whole pounce mechanics at the moment. I didn't like it in update 5 as well. I would prefer a longer pounce with less damage to a short pounce with much damage. right now, we don't even see the bucking animation as we have to drop as soon as it starts. which is sad. 'cause I love both animations, pounce & buck :)
Mombie do you play any games on your own but don't record?
not anymore. I don't have time for it :/
@@da.mombie just don't sleep, it's that easy
@@TurtleNY lol, yeah, would be a solution. at least on the short run XD
Nice!!!
thx 🤗🤗🤗
I expect at least 4-5. next year should be start of the dino years. means, more dinos will drop more frequently. but, it's games development, so, delays are always possible XD
they add trodoon as a test for dilo. they want to see how the poison mechanics will effect the gameplay or fights. trodoon will do less poison and is therefore good to get a feeling of how strong this ability will be in real battle at the end. still, I don't expect dilo within 2023. more likely are troddon, galli, beipi & cera. but, this is just me guessing :)
@@sziklamester1244 the funny thing is, I once read that dondi said it isn't up to the money. they earned quite a lot, it's more a problem of finding people. which I don't completely get to be honest. but, little I know ;-)
Maybe omni will be better again once people adjusted to the changes :)
Still dont see the point of constantly changing the existing dinos.
I remember when utahs bite was about 200 (or was it 175) and got nerfed to 50. every utah main was like, broken! you can't kill anything with it anymore. same as teno mains reacted when tenos got nerfed or carno mains will react after the next carno nerf. which is incoming ;-) so, to me all the crying is business as usual XD
I still enjoy omni and will adapt my prey. let's be real, a late juvie or sub carno wasn't much of a challenge for an adult utah.
@@Iguana5k yeah, we seem to have a very similar opinion about it 🤗🤗🤗
Why is everyone calling the utahraptor a omniraptor
this model is based on the jurassic park model. they called it velociraptor, 'cause utah wasn't discovered back then. the real veloci is as small as a chicken tho. so, the isle took that popular raptor model and called it utah. which fossils were found meanwhile and fitted the size much better. but, sience nowadays thinks they looked very different. so, the isle is gonna add a more accurate model of an utahraptor. probably with feathers. but, many love the jurassic park model, so, they will keep it in the game with the new name. omniraptor.
What is omniraptor?
the new name for utahraptor. they changed the name 'cause there will be a new utahraptor in the future. a more accurate one. probably with feathers ;-)
Beautiful one?
JP were the biggest scammer of all, 'cause, as you probably know, veloci had the size of a chicken. on the other hand, utah wasn't discovered at the time the movie was made, so, you can call it artistic freedom :)
nowadays we have more fossils and think they had feathers NOW. but, who knows what we think in another 30 years? most of our knowledge about them is still theory. specially when it comes to behaviour, but, also in stuff like skin colours, the way they moved and so on. therefore I also don't mind how accurate troddon will be. after all it's just a game I want to have fun with. not study dinos XD
yeah, megaraptor would be cool. well, I guess, there is even a good chance as soon as mods are coming to the game :)
@@anguyetnguyen1572 we will see, hopefully :)
I take on the challenge and make the best out of it. knowing the next update will change everything again. knowing with 50 dinos at the end it doesn't matter what stats which dino had at update 6.0
it is an alpha game. even in a very early stage. we aren't even half way through the development. there are probably 30 updates and changes to come. current stats couldn't be less important.

@@da.mombie "Best wishes" or more properly said. "Best of Wishes"
@@bumsiebum thx mate ♥ you can always learn :) in my case even still a lot XD
@BumsieBum exactly 😁 you're right 😁
@@da.mombie in the Isle people often write like that 😉 recently I didn't know what "np" was, it turned out to be short for "no problem" 😜 I'm learning a lot too 😁 (btw : "np" in Polish is "for example" - "na przykład") 😉
@@Domi_Nikkaa so, np is bilingual XD ... thx for explanation :)
carno charge is insane :D, omni is crap :(
carnos charge is really insane. it's VERY strong and will be nerfed with the next update.
Hi mombie for the 3rd time
I will welcome you 100 times 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Mombie, as you probably know I’m playing the game too and my friend showed me this channel. Your videos are cool and fun to watch but update 6.0 made the game so much worse. I will stop playing until 6.5 comes out so I won’t be watching you for a while.
