One of my favorite songs of his is “Whiskey and You”. He did a Tiny Desk performance of it that his just him and his guitar. It’s about loss and trying to cope, maybe not in the best way.
He's such a good and humble guy! He won 2023 Entertainer of the Year for the Academy of Country Music and if you Google it, you'll find a picture of him helping to sweep up the confetti after the show. He's just amazing... and his wife Morgane (who sings harmony) is gorgeous, as well. If you like the poetry part, you'll like the Tiny Desk Series with the two of them singing, "More Of You."
Beautiful insights for a man of so few years!! You have an new old lady sub They are an amazing unit and Chris has works with these musicians for years. JT the bass player is his closest friend. Keep going down this rabbit hole. Chris is a master lyricist and thanks to his lovely wife Morgane, we have the privilege of hearing this incredible artist perform his songs. This is one of my favorites of his, even though I’m a blues rock gal. Your face is adorable 🧐
He does “Shameless” and one of his new songs “The day i die” is fabulous! I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here w/these: Broken Halo’s, Amanda (w/his wife, i love LOVE this one because its my daughters name❤)
Chris Stapleton - "Watch You Burn" 57th Academy of Country Music Awards. It's the only time I've seen Chris' react (musically) to one of our darker emotions. Not that I don't feel exactly the same way.
I've first heard Chris in 2013 when he sang backup for Luke Bryan at the CMAs.. I was so impressed with his voice that I looked him up. The song was "drink a beer" if sb wants to look it up... Been a fan ever since
He does 2 songs live with Justin Timberlake "Tennessee Whisky/Drink You Away" and Say Something". I would recommend Stevie Ray Vaughn "Texas Flood" live at El macombo since you seem to really like guitar. Stevie was one of if not the best guitarist of all time.
@Mayze great reaction! Love the poem! I think you’d like Chris’ performances of “Millionaire” & “Parachute”! I usually recommend his songs like “Cold” at 2021 CMA Awards or “I Was Wrong (Austin City Limits)” but listening to a little about your life, the above seems more fitting for now! Anything live from Chris is amazing! Btw that’s his wife Morgane who sings harmonies in most of his songs! I’m sure you know he writes all his songs unless he sings a cover! He’s a living Legend! 1 in a million! Thanks fren!
Late to the party here, but I'll comment anyway. For one, I've been married 20 years tomorrow. Not gonna tell you my life story, but we are military, and there's a lot of moving and traveling involved. This one hits home. You will appreciate this song differently, as well, as the years move on. Even in marriage, you must have these types of moments to keep it fresh. Starting over. There's a lot of crap in life that hits you hard, and it's not great, and either you buckle under the weight or you don't. You must persevere. Two, I suspect you would really love "Fire Away," by Chris Stapleton. It's dark, but it's real esp. in the mental health awareness realm. BTW I'm a Home Fry, but I also am a Stapleton fan for many different reasons. Stapleton is the GOAT in terms of a songwriter, and his lyric delivery is so good that it can't be put into words. Plus the nuance in his voice is unmatched. Love it. You will never miss with him. Great reaction. Loved your poem, too!
Wait… hold up, wait a minute… you are “giving Chris Stapleton another chance”. Hahahahaha You’re a child with Instagram “motivational” quotes. Learn some respect.
Beautiful poem
Aww Mayze you're wise beyond your years. I love your energy. Keep the reactions coming kid! Sending love & light to all!
Thank you so much hun!!!
His wife Morgane singing harmonies. This was written with his old SteelDrivers band mate Mike Henderson they also wrote Broken Halos together.
I watched you twice react to this and "what are you listening to" and love how happy you look! 💗 the poem you wrote is beautiful!
Chris would make a beautiful song of your words. You my favorite old soul keep it up.
The Chris Stapleton rabbit hole is deep. So much good ahead of you with Chris and Morgane.

One of his best songs. The CMA and Tiny Desk versions are next level
Chris Stapleton at the super bowl 2023 .
Love your poem. Glad you like country music again.
I agree with others that think you would enjoy his & Morgane's appearance on the NPR Tiny Desk Series. It is 3 songs.
