  • In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, there exists an extraordinary tale that transcends time and touches the very depths of our souls, the story of the Miraculous Medal. Experience the awe-inspiring account of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal on her sacred feast day, November 27. Delve deep into the remarkable miracles, profound symbolism, and unshakeable faith that define this iconic devotion.
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary associated with a particular design of a medal. The devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal originated in France in the 19th century. The story begins with a series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Catherine Labouré, a young novice in the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, in 1830.
On November 27, 1830, Mary appeared to Catherine in the chapel of the Motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity in Paris. During this vision, Mary instructed Catherine to create a medal with a specific design, including an image of her standing on a globe, rays of light emanating from her hands, and the prayer "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee" inscribed around the image.
The medal became known as the Miraculous Medal due to the many reported miracles and graces associated with those who wore it and prayed with devotion. The feast day of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is celebrated on November 27, commemorating the date of the first apparition.
The Miraculous Medal has since become a widely recognized and cherished symbol of Marian devotion. Many Catholics around the world wear the medal as a sign of their faith and trust in the intercession of Mary, seeking her protection and blessings. The feast day serves as a time for believers to reflect on Mary's role in their lives and to express gratitude for the spiritual favors attributed to her through the Miraculous Medal.
The promises associated with wearing Our Lady's Miraculous Medal that are deeply rooted in the Catholic tradition and are believed to have been communicated by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself during her apparitions to St. Catherine Labouré are as follows:
    1. Special Protection: Those who wear the Miraculous Medal with faith and devotion are promised special protection from the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is believed to intercede on behalf of those who wear the medal, providing spiritual and physical protection.
    2. Abundant Graces: Mary promises to bestow abundant graces upon those who wear the Miraculous Medal with confidence. These graces are seen as divine gifts that assist individuals in their spiritual journey and daily lives.
    3. Conversion of Sinners: Mary expressed a desire for the conversion of sinners and promised her assistance to those who pray for their conversion while wearing the Miraculous Medal. This promise reflects a call to intercede for the well-being and spiritual transformation of others.
    4. Great Confidence: The wearers of the Miraculous Medal are encouraged to approach Mary with great confidence in times of need. The medal serves as a tangible reminder of her maternal love and willingness to intercede on behalf of those who seek her help.

Thank you Ariel for your beautiful and sincere petition prayer to our Blessed Mother for Deliverance from your family’s financial woes. I’ve been in the same situation many years ago and I constantly prayed to our Blessed Mother for her aid. By Divine grace and through her most powerful intercession, I was able to settle these problems. So have faith and do always the will of God so He will bestow you with His great blessings. Remember that God is never outdone in His generosity and He always provide for our needs.
Are you familiar with the story of Our Lady of Good Remedy? In the 12th century, St. John Matha, after being shown a vision by our Lord to help with the ransom of Christians who were captured and enslaved by the Moors or Muslims, asked for her most powerful intercession to help him ransom these slaves so they could be set free. To carry out this mission, he founded the Trinitarians who would eventually help him with his apostolate and together they did a fund-raising under the patronage of Mary under the title, “Our Lady of Good Remedy”. With this they were able to accomplish their goal and a great number of the Christian slaves were freed. Pray for her intercession as well as to St. John Matha who successfully accomplished this mission.
You can watch the whole story of a short video I made about “Our Lady of Good Remedy” at: ua-cam.com/video/kcFasARMigg/v-deo.html
I will keep you and your family in my prayers. May the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary be with you and your family. God bless. 🙏

Dear sister-in-Christ, thank you for your prayer to our Blessed Mother. I will be praying for you and your unborn baby in your most difficult situation. I implore you to pray to our Our Blessed Mother under her title, “Our Lady of Guadalupe”, who is the Patron Saint of Expectant Mothers and the unborn, who appeared to St. Juan Diego in Tepeyac, Mexico, as a pregnant woman, probably very near to giving birth (which makes sense, given that the apparitions took place only a few weeks before Christmas). Her pregnancy is apparent, not only because of her rounded abdomen, but because of the black sash she wears around her waist, which indicates that she is with child.
As a mother herself, she knows our struggles, pains, and sufferings, as she greatly shared in the sufferings of her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. She is one with you in your pain and anxiety right now. I’ve indicated below 2 most important prayers for expectant mothers. Pray to her and trust her most powerful intercession through our Lord Jesus Christ, the Great Healer. May she put you and your unborn infant under her maternal protection in the love and mercy of God. God bless you. Amen. 🙏
PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE FOR EXPECTANT MOTHERS
Dearest Lady of Guadalupe, most blessed Virgin Mary, I humbly come before you as an expectant mother seeking your divine protection. Our Lady of Guadalupe, you appeared miraculously on the tilma of Saint Juan Diego, showing your love and compassion toward the faithful Mexican children. With deep-felt confidence, I invoke thee, Holy Mother, to watch over my unborn child and me. Grant us the grace to walk valiantly amid the sharp thorns strewn across this precious journey, and bless us with fruitful motherhood. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, your most Holy Son, I place my trust. Amen.
PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE FOR A MIRACLE
Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mystical Rose, and Fruitful Mother of Holiness, I come before you with a humble heart, seeking your divine intercession. You appeared miraculously to Saint Juan Diego, leaving your sacred image on his tilma, and brought forth faith, hope, and love to the people of Mexico. In my hour of need, I implore you, Sweet Hope and Ever-Virgin Mary, to grant me the miracle I seek today. Strengthen my faith, fill my heart with Burning Charity, and grant me the grace of final perseverance. Under your mantle, may my heart be forever free, trusting in your powerful intercession. Amen.

@@mariaevirginismediatrix I refer to the "mediatrix" in your name. I suppose that you know the following verses:
      - 1 Tim 2,5
      - Hebr 8,6
      - Hebr 9,15
      - Hebr 12,24.
How does the catholic church deal with these words?
I have been myself a catholic for over sixty years until God opened my eyes for the true gospel of Jesus Christ and the sound teaching of the apostles. Today I am happy to be a protestant and will never return to the errors of the Roman church.

@@christophbreitenbach4112 Thank you for re-posting your previous comment. Please bear with my lengthy response as I just want to give clarity to your question(s). Also don’t fail to read my last paragraph at the end as it might bring some encouragement to you as a former Catholic. I wish you all the best. Here’s my response now to your very question.
The Bible does indeed state that Jesus Christ is the sole mediator between God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:5) and the other chapters and verses you’ve mentioned in your comment. Nevertheless, the concept of mediation isn't confined to just one individual. In Catholic tradition, Mary is often referred to as the Mediatrix, or mediator, between God and humanity, which doesn't contradict Christ's role as the one mediator.
In fact, the Catholic Church teaches that Mary's role as Mediatrix complements rather than replaces Christ's mediation. Mary's function is seen as assisting in bringing people closer to God through her intercession and prayers. In short, she is His Co-Redemptrix. Let us keep in mind that Mary, as Jesus' mother, has a unique relationship with both God and humanity, enabling her to help bridge the gap between them. Her unique relationship with Jesus Christ, her Son, and her participation in His Passion and death edifies this role. By giving birth to Jesus and consenting to His sacrifice, Mary is seen as having shared in His redemptive work, making her a co-participant in the redemption of humanity.
This concept is rooted in the understanding of the Church as the Body of Christ, where all members are interconnected with each other and with Christ. In this context, Mary is viewed as a member of the Body of Christ, and her role as Mediatrix reflects her union with Christ and her role as a spiritual mother to all believers.
The term “mediation” indeed encompasses various levels of mediation. While Christ is the singular mediator between God and humanity-a role fulfilled through His Incarnation, suffering, and death for our redemption-this does not negate the broader concept of mediation inherent in Judeo-Christian tradition.
Consider Moses in the Old Testament, who mediated for the Israelites, or the prophets who conveyed God’s word to the people. Even Scripture itself, penned and edited by human authors, involves mediation. God could communicate directly to our hearts, and often does, but He also chose to use prophets and to deliver His inspired word (the Bible) through human mediators.
Looking at 1 Timothy 2:1-3, St. Paul urges supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings for everyone, including kings and those in authority, so that we may live peacefully and devoutly. This exhortation to pray for others is a form of mediation that is pleasing to God. Similarly, praying for loved ones is a kind of mediation that unites us, which aligns with God’s plan for our unity in Christ.
Some individuals may have greater influence as mediators. In Catholic belief, Mary holds a unique position in the Church. As the Mother of Jesus, she possesses a special power of intercession with Him. Referring to her as Mediatrix acknowledges that her intercessory power is intrinsically connected to Jesus’ power.
The Second Vatican Council’s document Lumen Gentium, No. 60, clarifies that Mary’s role as the mother of humanity does not overshadow Christ’s unique mediation but rather demonstrates its power. Her influence is derived entirely from Christ’s merits and mediation. It supports, rather than hinders, the faithful’s direct union with Christ.
Mary’s significant role is underscored by her unwavering loyalty to her Son, even standing by the cross when many disciples had fled. Notably, in His final moments, Jesus ensured His Mother’s care, saying to the disciple, “Behold, your mother,” and from that hour, the disciple took her into his home (John 19:27).
To delve deeper into Marian themes and understand the spiritual benefits that many saints and Christians have found in Marian devotion, consider reading or listening to an audiobook online entitled, “True Devotion to Mary” by St. Louis-Marie de Montfort.
Also worthwhile to listen to this interesting talk which brings a lot of insight to former Catholics who turned Protestants.
No Salvation Outside the Church: Can a Good Protestant go to Heaven?
      ua-cam.com/video/ysofIfbmmts/v-deo.htmlsi=4Vq8kUVTYt_Jyyq0
I hope this provides clarity and insight.
Lastly, I feel and believe you have a good heart and for you to go to this length asking these questions. I’m guessing your departure from the Catholic faith might have been triggered by despair, loss of faith in her teachings, perhaps due to errors being committed by some members of the hierarchy. Everyone is given a free will by God. He leads us to the truth but it is up to us to follow the truth even in the midst of chaos. We just really need to ask the Holy Spirit to help us discern well. As for me, I was born a Catholic and will die a Catholic and that is where my free will leads me. I was a ‘cafeteria’ Catholic in my younger years, if you know what that means. I’ve now become a traditional Catholic and is loving and embracing every moment of it. I will pray for you for God to help you see clearly what the truth is and may the hand of our dear Mother in heaven guide you as well.
      God bless you. 🙏

@@mariaevirginismediatrix When "The Bible does indeed state that Jesus Christ is the sole mediator", why do you say "the concept of mediation isn't confined to just one individual"? Are 1 Tim 2,5 and Acts 4,12 valid or not?
Mary can in no way be called "Co-Redemptrix". This would mean that the redemption was not completely done by Jesus and that a human being would act in the redemption of the whole world, including her own redemption. This is unthinkable in logical and theological regard.
Mary had to learn who Jesus really is, like every human being. In Mark 3, 20-21 and 31-34 we read that she and her family took Jesus for an insane. Only after his resurrection she and some brothers (the sisters remain unnamed) joined Jesus' followers. Her "fiat" is proof of her great faith and trust in God. THIS is the reason, why Elizabeth praises her blessed.
Paul states Gal 1,12 that he received his insights by direct revelation of Christ. Apparently Christ has told him nothing concerning Mary, for he only mentiones her in a half phrase (Gal 4,4), when he says that Jesus was born "by a woman". He reports nothing of that what the catholic church teaches about Mary. And all the other letters in the New Testament remain silent about her as well.
Praying for each other is one thing, and a good one. Another is adoration: The catholic church claims that catholics only ask Mary for help, but I found dozens of real prayers to Mary. In one of them, spoken by pope Pius X., he calls her the "welfare of the world", so he makes her a copy of Christ.
This shows that the theory of "hyperdulia" is a lie.
My reason to leave the church of Rome is not only her mariology but several other false doctrines, too.
I cannot deal with them here, it would be way too long (I wrote everything down for myself in 35 pages).

You can find dozens of real prayers to Mary, one even prayed by a pope (!), in which he calls her the "hail of the world". Other prayers speak to their rosary and kiss it.

Hello, thank you for your comment. However, this is the authentic Catholic Miraculous Medal which was given to St. Catherine Laboure. I'm not sure what religion you practice? But I'm guessing you're Catholic as Czech Republic is predominantly Catholic. Just thinking you might have misconstrued this for something you have in your whatever religion you're in? The dagger in Mary's heart signifies the first sorrow of our Blessed Mother which was prophesied by Simeon during her purification at the temple and the circumcision of the baby Jesus. Let me know if you need further explanation and I can expound this topic. Thank you again and God bless. 🙏
