@@katiejlumsden thank you Katie! ☺️ And also, thank you so much for the following! I watch your videos for a long time now; you're an inspiration for reading, specially Victorian Literature 🥹🥰🥰
Good video. I am reading a Thomas Hardy right now, The Woodlanders. I have read Far From the Madding Crowd previously and really enjoyed it. The Woodlanders didn't grab me right away like Far From did, but I stuck with it and it has been paying off. I'm 3/4 the way through now and quite invested. You have made me less intimidated to read George Eliot and for that I thank you. I have bought a Charles Dickens at a thrift sale but I'm not certain that I will get to it this month because I also picked up The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde which is a Victorian as well. I'm Canadian and North Americans are always too impatient to get to spooky reading while we anticipate Halloween!
@@hellopaulie Thank you! ☺️🥰 Far from the Madding Crowd is actually the one I'm thinking about rereading this month. Oh, and I'm so glad to have helped you feel less intimidated by Middlemarch. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekll and Mr. Hyde is a perfect choice for Halloween and Victober! I completely forgot to put it on this video. It's one of my favourite spooky Victorian novels. I hope you enjoy it! 🤎🤍
Excellent collection of classic literatures. Absolutely love those penguin clothbound classics and actually 'The woman in white' is one of my favorite classics of all-time. Thank you so much for sharing the video, Pati! Keep smiling and shining always 🙂 And thanks again for encouraging me and many readers to re-read Dickens! 🙂
I'm the one who should thank you for such a lovely comment! 🥰🥰 Thank you so much for watching, it makes me very, very happy to know you liked the video, and that I helped to a possible reread of Dickens!! 🤎🤍
Nice video! I have read 5 of the 12.
Thank you! 🥰 Which ones have you read? And which ones did you enjoy most?
@@patireads Favorites were The Woman in White and Cranford but also read Jane E. and Great Ex. and Tale of Two Cities.
@@theresas709 Both so very good! Whenever I want to scape and just go to a comfy place in my head I read Cranford ☺️
Great choices :)
