@@gabecollins5585 It depends on the battle. The second Battle of Ypres from April 22 to May 25, 1915 took around a month to complete (they usually wont last this long in re-enactments but some do), and the Battle of Mons on August 23, 1914 took well less than a day
They are gu ns, they are meant to be used, I crawl around in the mud with my mosin, ya I realize they aren’t expensive but it’s still over 100 years old and we irks like if was just made
So cool to see thoes planes doing the flyby! Super nice video, especially this part 3:08 where your friend is firing the rifle 'grenades' and flares. Oh yeah and the 5:27 nighttime battle scene is awesome, really awesome! p.s. Subscribed!
From what I have seen, you are dead for that particular attack. There are many attacks over the weekend. I think the idea is that is how you can judge a sucessful attack. If enough attackers die then the defenders have won. If attackers resurrect then the defenders will mostly lose.
2:44 and 2:04 im guessing blanks were fired no? the rifle looks blank but bar recoil and machine gun looks kinda looks real to me idk. thanks fir answering!
hey at 2:44 i noticed that the belt being fed into the machine guns have seemingly led tips? they dont look like blanks and its concerning lol@@sabbath-tage1358
@@fieldmarshalairsoft3200 Some blanks have an extended casing shaped to look like a bullet, still crimped just a bit longer. For certain systems, it wont work. Not sure if it would with the MG. They're probably wooden bullets. The barrel has a device in it made to shred the bullet and make it looks most velocity upon leaving the barrel, there are regulations to stop firing a machine gun when people get too close, but even if someone got hit they would probably just get splattered with some wood pieces and maybe a splinter.

this is probably the coolest reenactment I've ever watched.
holy jesus! they even have biplanes! whats next a german zepplin?
Don’t give them any ideas

Uhhhh, what’s that loud buzzing noise???
These bf1 mods are getting out of control
When dusk came around, the fog really brought it together.
Fog was actually smoke screen choking out all of the re-enactors at times, really bad deal if you have lung conditions, Fog would be welcome.
**We have lost objective apple**
Friendly behemoth inbound
That is a brave man to take a $20,000 full auto BAR to a reenactment.
I’d be more worried about cleaning. I don’t think breaking should be to much of a worry.

You should get an old camera and take pictures of this and make it look like the actual thing

That's why it's mandatory to wear your helmet in the trenches.
Holy shit, an actual flight of biplanes? That's goddamned next level! Just need a few metric tons of arty sims... ;)
Awesome experience, can’t wait for next years events.
I SO want to do next April!
My good friend is with the French 18 Inf Hope to be able to get the gear I need by April for my first Newville Reenactment
Me and a friend took shots at that USMC shield from across no man’s land all weekend you guys are awsome!
We had taken it from the german lines during a night raid Friday
5:27 now that's where t starts looking extra real!
I want to go in April of 2024.That's all I want.Somebody needs to train me!
Great footage 🙌
This is good reenactment great job
What year is this battle supposed to be 1917 or 1918 because this is awesome
Nov of 1918
Boom, it’s the end of World War One, we don’t know what’s going on, but get the Hell out of the rest of Europe Germany!
What the upcoming To Hell And Back film will look like lol
Amazing video!
So, when you’re hit, do you just stay dead the whole rest of the reenactment?

@@johnmoreno9636 How long does one reenactment take? A full day or couple of days?
Really wish we had something like this in AZ
how do you determine when you are hit? i understand paintball and airsoft but not sure how this works.
It's blanks, we ALL Die if it's a clear shot or advance, no heroics.
thank you!@@jhooah1

The BAR's Recoil was from the bolt im no to sure about the MG But ik that the bar has some recoil from the bolt even if your using blanks

how to join these kind of reenactments?
You have to learn a secret handshake
If your interested, usually google or check on facebook for a group in your area. This ww1 reenactment ihas a website- google: great war association

@TheFlamethrowerExperts cool thanks I'm with Pacific Northwest great war 23rd Infanterie assistant mg gunner
Where do yall get the weapons that fire blanks and all that?
We own our own. Some people who own machine guns who have license to manufacture them have them to rent. Alot of money goes into this
Hmm… that one guy with the Faux-Chaut seemed pretty cool. Lol
Some have real registered ones, BATF is ever present to ensure they are papered.
do you guys practice this or use something to know when you get shot?
If you're out in the open and you hear a gunshot, or you see a muzzle flash in your direction, you have to assume you've been hit
Reenacting is basically an improv play so you just drop when you think you've been hit
Do you have any recommendations on where to go for ww1 US uniforms? Specifically usmc if you know. Thanks
What price glory or soldier of fortune
@@TheFlamethrowerExperts thank you
3:46 is this a flare attachment?
I think these are supposed to be grenade launchers
Its a Vb rifle grenade launcher
Is it just one reenactment for the whole year?
its an annual event in a small town in PA, they own a huge complex of trenches
Are these actual bullets?
Not bullets, they’re called ‘blanks’, so the casing is crimped together at the end so it’s just the powder going off in the cartridge.
We know this but im confused as the bullet seems to be still in the casing@@revere0311
@@flinnryder4400 how is it still in the casing if there is no bullet??
are these blanks or shooting something
Yeah
Its dummy rounds
Blanks.
no theyre really actually shooting each other
yes they are blanks
